a Neet who has worked hard his entire life, who has experienced the vicissitudes of life, living much of his life in poverty, depression and drug addiction, at the end of his difficult road, dies of cancer at the age of 26. Having suffered his entire life trying to face the cruel reality of the world, always chasing higher pursuits and exploring ideas but his pursuit of truth only leads to his own collapse. In his last days instead of weeping, he laughs, he laughs at the absurdity of it all. It seemed as if fate had played the biggest joke on him, he had taken too seriously what had no value. What is life? a blink of an eye! as unreal as a dream, what a mysterious world, we are just born out of nowhere only to vanish later on. A profound sigh was uttered "If only I wasn't dealt such bad cards! I was made for the heights yet here I am crashed in the abyss of life." Looking at the world he was soon to leave, he sighed "Humanity truly has fallen in this era, it has crashed from the heights of embodying divinity to succumbing to their animalistic selves becoming creatures of decadence, slaves to pleasure, lust and the lowly desires of the body. Truly my heart weeps for the tragedy of humanity, the industrial revolution, a slave society disguised as 'modern society', poisonous foods filled with chemicals, an entire network engineered to enslave minds called the internet, an absolute infestation of decadence and mediocrity in the very Human spirit that used to overpower all. All humanity is enslaved, what can't parents even teach? they are slaves themselves. Atleast in this life, I refused to be a slave, I was a free being, atleast in the later half of my life, I followed my own passions and lived my own life but in the end, sigh I failed! But oh well, who ever lived a perfect life in this world? as the darkness of death engulfs him, he fully accepts it and is gone. A pair of eye opened and an absolutely stunning sight appeared, he was transmigrated. For the first time in so long, he could see clearly without glasses or contacts, he could feel physically powerful instead of a sickly body and a destroyed pleasure system. He resolves that this time, this life, He would pursue his own freedom! He would never give up on himself and he will walk his own path to the very end. "That's right, I was wrong depending on sympathy. Cold, heartless, I won't forgive them, they can't be forgiven! That's right, it wasn't me who was wrong, it was the world that was wrong!" A descent towards Madness. A cruel world where no refuge can be found, countless obstacles obstructing one's path, mountains of corpses, an abyss of blood, a heart of darkness, a cruel fate to all living beings. No heart or soul, only an abyss of despair and a heart to ascend beyond. ... "How do I do it?"
"First, close your eyes and pull your mind from your perceptions and focus on your sea of consciousness."
Nameless immediately followed closing his eyes before pulling his awareness from other perceptions and focusing on his sea of consciousnesss, he only let the faint voice of Yugo enter his mind.
"Now in one motion, focus on extending your mind beyond your sea of consciousness like a wavelength emerging from your mind scanning the outside environment."
Nameless immediately moved using the power of his sea of consciousness to pull back before rushing forward to the outside world like a wave.
A wavelength moved from his mind as the epicenter and spread everywhere around him scanning the environment surrounding him, the wavelength moved rapidly before it stopped right at the entrance of the cave.
In that instant, Nameless could feel everything surrounding him, he could move his attention to the bioluminescent rocks on the walls and feel their thickness, he could feel what was inside the lagoon, the fishes, the reptiles, the weird beings that he couldn't categorise as well as the environment that surrounded the lagoon with the unique trees and ground.
His divine sense also scanned the deepest parts of the cave feeling all the minimen inside, especially a threatening and powerful aura within, it was probably the minimen ancestor.
However ever since he activated his divine sense, there was a small detail that he missed at first which in turn startled him, he couldn't sense the miniman immortal!
He spoke in a suprised tone : "Why can't I sense you? its almost as if you don't exist?"
"Little kid, sigh, you really think I am cultivating wisdom path as a game, of course you can't sense me, I am a wisdom path immortal. No one can sense me except a more powerful divine sense or if I consciously allowed someone to do so. Not only that, I can detect and track any divine sense that moves past me and my divine sense isn't as weak as yours, I can know everything about my target using my divine sense alone except if he has powerful enough defense."
"Wisdom path is that powerful?! I still don't understand however, what is wisdom path?"
"You?! hasn't the will explained to you the cultivation structure?! the miniman tribe leader was simply suprised.
"No, she kept explaining small details and some of the major ones but she never explained to me the whole structure of cultivation or what cultivation even means at its essence, I only know cultivation is a process to get power and survive. I mean, I have only been alive in this world for a few weeks."
"Go gather beast cores, the day you absorb the energy in your birthplace, I will explain cultivation to you then. Wisdom path, also called Psychic path is a path exclusively focused on the sea of consciousness thus its superior power, its focus is the mind and its elements; thoughts, wills, emotions, perceptions and memory. It can speed up thought processes, deduce based on clues, deduce events transpiring, deduce future possibilities, handle information, storing and understanding it. Wisdom path means control over these elements. "
"No wonder it is so powerful! the mind is the basis of what makes human beings superior to beasts. Also no wonder the will lost, its your domain of expertise after all, thinking about it now, the will had no chance of winning." He felt chills thinking about it.
Nameless continued : "As for cultivation, can't you just tell me now? the will told me the same thing, that it will tell me only when I began absorbing the energy."
"It's simply the most effective way, if I explain it to you, I will give you a mental image and you will try to "get it" intellectually which will just be a hindrance when the time comes for true practice, I'd rather just explain it to you then."
"Oh there was such a thing."
The conversation ended there as Nameless kept thinking about all these things, trying to absorb as much information as possible while thinking about how to incorporate and use them.
"What are you waiting for? its the middle of the day, hurry up and go get some beast cores." the minimen spoke.
Nameless only then realised it was daytime, the cave was only illuminated with the bioluminescent minerals on the walls, no light came from the outside word.
He stood up and began to leave before he heard a call : "Wait."
The minimen tribe leader ate the squid as he spoke : "Wait, it was unecessary to tell you this before but I changed my mind."
He continued : "I don't know the specifics of the will of a guardian, that's why I left the will in your mind so that the environment stays the same as the will keeps sending fake messages back to its original body, however the facts are that this is the will of a guardian so be delicate and don't go too far, I changed its structure changing the logic it uses in its thought processes so there is no danger but don't use that as an excuse to be reckless."
He carried on : "The dao marks on your body were under the influence of the will, it was going to use them to puncture and seep into your sea of consciosness sealing it and taking over it, however what she said was also true, they can be used for other purposes like enslaving beasts or healing or empowering your body so do use them wisely and use them fast. They are very dangerous, if the will ever awakens, it will attack you immediately, so go gather the beast core, absorb the energy and then either use them or destroy them!"
"I understand." Nameless said as he sighed.
There were too many dangers to count, not forgetting that the time was tight and that there many requirements to fulfill just to survive and although the will would now fully help him, he could still encounter beasts and die anyway and even if he survived everything, there was still a chance to be detected as he escaped.
It was as if he was bound from all directions with noway out but there was still a way to survive, although there were risks but if he did his best, perhaps he would be lucky enough to survive, the odds weren't disastrous yet.
Nameless moved, passing by the lagoon and the inner parts of the cave before moving into the forest.
He was now going to gather beast cores.
