Feeble and malnourished after two days of starvation, Su Yun was utterly powerless against the physical strength of a fat and healthy woman like Li Pin.

The villagers, like bees buzzing around a flower, gathered around, morbidly curious yet unwilling to intervene.

It was common knowledge that crossing paths with Li Pin inevitably led them to disadvantage.

Her son, Su Rui, was a scholar; he could become an official in the future. There was no reason to offend Su's family for someone like Su Yun.

Her stepmother was always really greedy, but this is simply outrageous.
