Quade

March 1865

It must have all been a terrible dream, a horrible terrible dream. Annabel had to convince herself it was the truth. Otherwise she wouldn't know how to fathom what had happened. The first piece of evidence that suggested that this was possibly a dream, was that she found herself awakening gently on a soft piece of furniture.

The last thing she remember was leaving Mme Velcius's house. This thought however stimulated the following horrifying thought; Where on earth was she now? Like electricity surging through her veins she sat upright, observing her surroundings with terror. Annabel was present in what seemed a darkened room, the only source of light created from a few scarce candles burning alight.

Suddenly her memory was stimulated alive and she remembered vividly.

Horror filled her veins, paralyzing her beyond movement.

Before Annabel could conjure another thought, a distinct sound could be heard, making her lungs constrict.

It was him.
