Chapter 44: New year evening

December 31, 4:53 AM. Helena's bedroom.

Helena woke up because of a nightmare. She was panting, and her body was covered in sweat. [Fuck... It has been years since the last one.] She got up and went to the bathroom with soft steps, not to wake up Hanna. She washed her face and stared at herself for long minutes.

Pieces of the nightmare flashed on her mind. It had happened before. A lot. The memory of the nights she got the scars all over her body were forgotten, however, her subconscious would never forget. Her eyes teary up, and the moment she closed her eyes not to see herself, a tear went down her cheek. [That bastard still laugh in my mind...
