Chapter 35: A change in pace

October 7, 8:00 AM. Germany border, 100 kilometers from Oberstdorf.

Lotta was driving her car on a mountain road. She had a sorrowful face, but her eyes were burning in rage. Hanna was sleeping on the back seat, snoring from time to time. On the distance, Lotta sees her destination. An old building, that had the air of a church from the 1800s. The old building was the first national military academy, although its name was Akademie für Männer, or academy for men.

She stopped the car near the end of the road. Behind the building, was an endless mountain range, with trees and rivers. She sighed and opened the door. She sat on the car hood and inhaled the fresh air. Then, she giggled. "I thought that when the war broke out, I would stay on rear, training candidates, or managing the NMA PTP..." She closed her eyes and clenched her fists.
