I went down and I saw Lavalee pacing back and forth speaking in a distinct language.

Weird. We often understand what he is saying even in another language.

"What's up?" I asked and walked towards her.

She covered her phone and then smiled at me.

"Morning, Chels," she said and went back to the phone.

"It's all right, sir," she said and placed her phone on her table

"What was that, Lav?" Jess asked as Lavalee sat down

"Family business matters," She said and the guards went in.

"Eat up," she said and I sat down beside Irene

Jace and Lavalee were talking about their project.

"Bianca," Jess said making Irene throw a fork at her, which she avoided.

"Don't call me that, BRYLEA?" Irene even emphasized that name

"Yuck, don't speak bad words. " Jess acted disgusted with her face crunching in displeasure

"It isn't, Jess. You know that." I said and we started eating

After we ate, we got ready for school. While I'm descending the stairs, my phone rang so I answered it.

[Anyeonghasseoyo, Chelsea-nee.] She cheerfully said from the other line

"Hi, baby girl," I greeted her and I heard her chuckle

I took my bag along with Irene and I's activity.

[You're going to school, right?] she asked as I went down the stairs

"Yes, baby," I answered and handed Jess the paper.

Irene held the building model and Jess raised an eyebrow at me.

'Who's that?' she mouthed

"Why did you ask?" I asked and turned to Jess

I mouthed 'Freia' and she pointed at Lavalee and I shook my head.

[Does Eonnie have a boyfriend?] She asked making me chuckle and glance at Lavalee who's still discussing something with Jace as we went to the garage.

"Boyfriend? I don't know. Why? " I answered and went to my car.

Unsurprisingly, Delta Ethan is already there.

[I called her earlier before I called you, I heard a guy's voice in the background. Chelsea-nee, I'm worried. What if eonnie gets hurt? I don't want that.] It's heartbreaking to hear that from her

She really is young no matter what happened. She still has a child's mind.

"Don't worry, Frei. Trust your sister besides that guy earlier is her bodyguard so you don't have to worry. " I just said that to reassure him.

[Okay, will you visit us again?] she asked hopefully

"Maybe during vacation, though, I'm not sure because we might have a family gathering. " I said

[So'ka. Sayonara, Chelsea-nee.] She said

"Sayonara, Baby," I said and put my phone away

I opened my bag and took out my binder.

"It's bad for your eyes to read while in the car," Ethan said so I lowered my binder and put it in the bag.

"How long have you been a police officer?" I asked him just to open up a topic

"It's been 2 years." He replied

"How old are you again? 23?" I asked

"That's mean, miss Chelsea. I am only 21. " He said, that made me silent

I thought he was four or five years older than I am.

When we arrived at school, he opened the door for me. The classes went on and on until we were present with our company buildings.

"The company we're planning to build is a company where the people who have records from the police can work. We thought that having a criminal record is a big reason why they can't be accepted permanently in work. " Ethan was the first to speak

"Isn't it risky? No offense meant but they're ex-convicts, they might be tempted to commit crimes again." Jess said

Fortunately, I got grouped with them. They ask tricky and risky questions that if you're not used to can make you nervous and will make you question yourself real bad.

Looks like Irene will be the next to ask. They've been doing this since earlier.

I saw Ethan nervous because of Jess's question so Lieutenant and Alpha answered the question.

I won't be surprised that when we are the ones present, our classmates will make us suffer from their questions. I mean that's what these two are doing.

Being 3rd-year college is somehow stressful already, and these two aren't helping.

After our classmates present, we will be presenting our company idea.

"Our plan is about a company that handles the travels and leisure of people. Bar, clubbing, out of town, and out-of-the-country trips of the kind." Jess said while showing our company model

"How?" Lavalee's voice echoed because of the coldness and seriousness of her voice.

Geez, she's giving me the vibes of a businesswoman at this moment.

'This makes me feel like we're attending a board meeting.'

'I'm the one who's nervous.'

I think we're like her subordinates presenting a proposal in front of our CEO.

Irene cleared her throat making Lavalee's attention shift to her.

"Our backgrounds in leisure and luxury gave us a heads up. We earned a lot of backups and research. We know many resort owners, airline managers, and tour companies from different states or cities from different countries." Irene answered

Irene and Jess couldn't hide the change in their expression when Lavalee raised her hand again.

"How about the client's security? Isn't it risky that they don't know the background of those assets that you are talking about? How can they be sure that what you are saying is legitimate and legal?" Lavalee asked

'That's a good question.'

'How can she come up with questions that quickly?'

'What kind of student is she?'

"We're going to discuss and show pictures. Regarding the client's security, we won't require them to give us access to their personal information, only those that are crucial. We will only ask for the details of the travel they like." I replied

"What if they back out? I mean what if you're tricked, how will you deal with the wasted money and resources?" she asked and I immediately understood what she wants us to do

She doesn't want us to settle into just simply introducing and briefly discussing our idea. She wants us to show how far we can bring this thing on and she wants us to raise the criteria for her.

"We will also run a background check of course but we will make sure we don't invade their privacy," Jess replied and Lavalee raised her hand again

"Running a background check on a person without their permission is an invasion of privacy, Ms. Han," Lavalee said with a raised brow

"As I've said we'll only require them to give us access to their personal information that is crucial to the travel and the safety of our company," I said seriously

"That's enough questions, Ms. Kan. Great presentation, Ms. Han, Ms. Jang, Ms. Go." Our professor said which made us exhale heavily.

Geez, presentations like this are hard whenever Lavalee is here.

"Let's continue tomorrow." She said and dismissed our class

"Bitch! You made it so~ hard!" Jess complained and pulled Lavalee's hair

"Taste your own med, bitch." Lavalee said laughing

"Yeah, it's still quite a good thing that she's the only one asking, and those that you roasted did not join. " I said

"Good? Tal, are you crazy? I can imagine that I was facing Frost earlier because of the way she said that. " Irene said

"Especially her tone," I agreed

"Tell us the truth, do you impersonate your ice brothers when you're bored?" Jess said and glared at Lavalee

I facepalmed when I noticed Lavalee's eyes twinkling. I almost forgot, Lavalee wanted to be like them, but she's too talkative.

"JINJJA?! OMG!" Lav said happily

"I'll tell Nii-sama!" she said and walked first so we also accelerated the walk to keep up with her

Suddenly, four daggers were coming at us but we caught them.

"Who threw those?!" Ethan asked in shock

We gave it to Irene and she threw the back, hitting four guys in the hand with the dagger, but it was quite dangerous because it was near the pulse.

"I did," Irene said

"Ire," Lavalee warned and we went to the cafeteria.

While we were eating, there were people throwing daggers, shurikens, and kunai around us and Lavalee's phone was still ringing.

Suddenly, a voice echoed from the speakers, and not just any voice, a voice full of authority, very cold and intimidating.

"Hime," Frost's cold and terrifying voice echoed

Uh-oh...

We looked at Lavalee who sighed and closed her eyes, at the same time, her phone rang again.

"Uh hi?" Lavalee said awkwardly and we shook our heads

She talked to Frost over the line whil we continued to eat.

"What did you do?" Irene asked

"I joined a camp, HA Empire camp." She said and ate again as if nothing had happened

"That was scary," Caspian said

"Tell that to Lav," Jess said shaking her head

Lavalee really likes messing up with her older brother and testing his temper.

We went out of the cafeteria and about to go to our next class when a group of guys blocked our way.

"What do you need?" Alpha Elijah asked

"Those women with you." He said and smiled like a maniac while looking at Jess from toe upwards

"Yuck," Jess said and crossed her arms

"Will you come or not?" the man said and those with him raised their guns.

I can't help but sigh in disappointment, we're attending an underground-related school, do they think we'll get scared by that?

These girls are always playing with bullets, I am the only one sane.

"No," Lavalee and Irene answered

"No," I said

"Duh! Obviously no. You're so disgusting." Jess said and they pointed the gun at her

"Why do you have a gun? That's forbidden!" Ethan said so the men looked at him

"What is forbidden? Are you an addict?" the men laughed

"Unauthorized guns," a man arrived

"Don't interfere, Mr. President. " One of the guys said

"You take care of it," Lavalee said to the newcomer and was about to pass when she was blocked

"Seriously? You are the president? It's not obvious." Lavalee said and the guy laughed

"Why do you care, Pres?" the acting leader asked

"You're bothering my girlfriend." The man replied

Wait. What? Girlfriend?

"Lend us, Pres," a guy said smirking

"Get out of the way, don't anger her." Lavalee's self-proclaimed boyfriend said

When they tried to block us again, Lavalee, Jess, and Irene kicked the guys on their most sensitive part and I took their guns swiftly and handed some to them.

"Will you let us pass, or I'll shoot?" Irene asked

The guys trembled when we removed the safety lock of the gun.

"That's dangerous," Ethan said making the unknown guy laugh

"Seriously, Lavalee? You have bodyguards? Police bodyguards?" the guy said sarcastically like he read a corny joke.

"Shut up," Lavalee rolled her eyes

We walked past them and Lavalee handed her gun to the guy, she signaled us to hand our guns to the guy so we did.

"See you when I see you. Ah, before I forgot, we're even, Lavalee." He said and left

"What's that, Lavalee? Who's that guy?" I asked

"You didn't recognize him? The guy who said he'll be a navy pilot?" she asked as if reminding us something

Navy Pilot?

"Icarus Santiago?!" we asked in sync making her laugh

"Yeah. I never thought he'd study here though." She said
