Information

-A/N: This Info Chapter is really more for myself so I don't have to keep scrolling though the wiki every time I want to remember some little piece of information. However, If you are relatively new to the world of Danmachi or are simply returning after a very long time since reading or watching it like myself, then feel free to use this page as a refresher or reference for my story. I will also be putting some things that are unique to my story here so that I don't forget them such as some things relating to status. I will only be including things relatively important to my story specifically. For example, I wont be including War Games here since I don't plan to have the Hephaestus Familia participate in one.

- Adventurers: These are the people who have falna granted to them by the God/Goddess of their Familia. They Primarily Explore the dungeon below the Tower of Babel. However, some adventurers like the smiths of the Hephaestus Familia, work outside of it. Adventurers are split into Levels 1-9. There has never been a level 10 adventurer but it is the goal of all who strive to be the strongest. Depending on the level, adventurers are also split into classes.

+ Low Class Adventurer: These are level one adventurers.

+ High Class Adventurer: These are all Adventurers from Level 2 onwards

High class adventurers are further split into numbered classes.

+ Third Class Adventurer: These are level 2 adventurers

+ Second Class Adventurer: These are level 3-4 Adventurers.

+ First Class Adventurer: These are all adventurers from level 5 onwards.

Once an Adventurer reaches level 2 they earn an Alias. Aliases are second names for adventurers given by the gods as a sign of their accomplishment. The name is chosen by the gods during a Denatus which is held every three months and can change every time an adventurer levels up.

- Supporters: Aside from adventurers, there are also supporters. Supporters are people that explore the dungeon alongside adventurers. Their job is to carry any spare items and supplies for the adventurers they support as well as pick up the magic stones dropped by the monsters that the adventurers kill. It is common for new Familia members to serve as supporters to the more experienced members.

- Three Great Quests: These are extremely strong monsters birthed by the dungeon known as The Behemoth, The Leviathan, and The One-Eyed Black Dragon. 14 years before the start of this story (15 years before canon) the Zeus and Hera Familias were defeated by the One-Eyed Black Dragon after successfully Killing the Behemoth and Leviathan.

- Familias: Familias are essentially organizations made up of adventurers and headed by a God or Goddess. They are named after the God or Goddess in charge of the Familia. For example Hephaestus is the head of the Hephaestus Familia. Most Familia are exploration type Familia however there are exceptions. These exceptions are Business Familias such as the Ishtar Familia who operate most of the brothels in the entertainment district, Industrial Familias such as the Hephaestus Familia who create most of the weapons and armor that adventurers of Orario use, Medicinal Familias such as the Miach Familia who create potions and medicines for the adventurers of Orario, and even Nation Familias such as the Ouranos Familia that runs Orario and the Guild. Familias are ranked from I-S Based on their size and achievements, which is used to determine how much money the Familia has to pay the Guild in monthly taxes. There are Familias such as the Hermes Familia who do not report rank ups to avoid paying more. However, this is illegal. Once a Familia reaches rank D they are required to start going on expeditions.

- God/Goddess: Gods and Goddesses began descending from heaven 1000 years ago. Some are from then and others only recently came down. They are forbidden from using their powers, known as Arcanum, and have the same physical abilities as normal people. However, They are allowed to use their Arcanum in certain circumstances such as using mirrors which are used to broadcast War Games. Aside from Arcanum, Gods and Goddesses also exude an aura known as Divinity that allows others to recognize them as such. There are gods however that can hide their Divinity to blend in with mortals. A God's Divinity has a color that will differ depending on the God or Goddess and it can be sensed all across Orario if a God releases it in the upper floors of the dungeon. Other abilities that are unique to a god such as the charms of Goddesses of Beauty are allowed to be used. If any God or Goddess breaks the rules they are forcibly sent back to heaven. Gods or Goddesses with large Familias can relax and live in luxury due the earnings of their children, but other gods from smaller Familias such as Hestia or Miach will work for a living.

- Falna: Falna is the grace or blessing given by Gods and Goddesses to their Familia members. Those with a falna can gather excelia to raise their status and grow stronger.

- Status: Status is the falna set as various parameters. Status is made up from basic abilities, development abilities, magic, skills, and the overall level. It manifests Itself physically in a form similar to a tattoo as a mass of text with all of its characteristics detailed, as well as the corresponding Familia's emblem. In order to protect it's valuable contents, Gods have developed a method by which they are able to hide their Familia member's statuses, only revealing them for updates. Only the respective patron God can unveil and update a person's status. Nonetheless, there exists items which allow others to do so, even if they aren't Gods themselves.

- Excelia: Excelia is gained through actions, such as by fighting monsters. There are two types of excelia. The regular type is used by Gods to improve upon their follower's status other than level. The second type of excelia is called 'high-quality excelia' and is used by Gods to level up their Followers after enough has been accumulated. High-quality excelia is gained by accomplishing things that even the Gods would be impressed with, such as defeating stronger opponents.

- Level: A level shows the rank of an adventurer. The status of an adventurer is considered to be secret information, but the level of an adventurer is required to be reported and is show to others. Most people with a status are Level 1, but when the Zeus and Hera Familias were still active, they had a Level 8 and Level 9 adventurer respectively. Just defeating monsters doesn't lead to a level up. To level up, one must have at least a D rank in one basic ability and accumulate enough high-quality excelia that it overflows one's container, thus enabling them to level up.

Leveling up is not automatic; one's God has to consciously make the decision to level up a Familia member. Holding off on leveling up is a strategy some might do for such reasons as to raise one's basic abilities higher or to unlock development abilities. However, most Familias restrain from doing so due to the great boost in one's overall abilities granted by a level up. which has led it to be a practice performed by only strong Familias. Leveling up is hard to do outside of Orario due to the only dungeon being located there, and Level 3 outside of Orario is considered to be excellent. Although leveling up is generally a hazardous task, those who have gained combat skills before receiving a falna are usually able to do so without difficulty.

- Basic Abilities: The basic abilities are Strength, Endurance, Dexterity, Agility, and Magic. Each one is shown with a rank and a number from 0-999. While it is normally impossible to go beyond this limit, in some cases the upper limit may surpass this.

Basic abilities can be raised through excelia gained from training and battles. Basic abilities reset to I0 at every Level up, although those gained before each level up will remain as an invisible base.

- Valis: Valis is the currency used in Orario. One can by a Jagamarukun at 30-40 valis, material for one meal at 50 valis, and a more expensive meal at a bar for 300 valis. Bell's first dagger cost 3,600 valis, his first armor cost 5,000 valis, and a lowest rank potion costs 500 valis. A party of five Level 1 adventurers can make around 25,000 valis per a day, and at 800,000 valis one can buy a good house. The symbol for valis is a v with two lines through it.

- Magic stone: Magic stones are the core of monsters and are typically located in the chest are of a monster. However, monsters created by the demi spirit tend to have it located in other areas, with the Viscums and Violas having them in their throats. Adventurers and supporters gather magic stones to trade them in for valis at the Guild. Magic stones have magical power in them that can be used for things such as lighting, water purification, cooking stoves, refrigerators, and other things. If one breaks the magic stone while in the monster, the monster immediately dies.

- Drop item: Drop items are items that can sometimes remain along with the magic stone after a monster dies. They are parts of the dead monster and are used to make weapons and items and therefore are traded at high prices.

- Magic Sword: Magic Swords enable the user to fire magic from the weapon. Only those with a large amount of experience can make them. Magic swords shatter after being used a certain amount of times and are also weaker than magic used by adventurers.
