A faint, female voice found its way to Gordon and Wheatley.
"Chell, is that you? I really thought you desperately wanted to leave this place. Well, if it is you, I'm assuming you brought some friends or equipment with you as this plate is detecting a weight higher than four standard deviations away from your average weight – and it's only been 3.23 hours since you left. Well, if this is what you want, I won't stop you from coming back down here – but I won't help you either."
When she paused, Wheatley let out his panic.
"Seriously! Did you honestly not know whose facility you were entering when you came here?! Oh no, oh no, she's not going to be happy to see me again! I hope you brought more than that gravity gun along – we'll need every weapon we can to face her. Unless you have a portal gun, but I don't quite expect you to have one – unless you've been here before. And if you haven't, and haven't guessed already, 'she' is GlaDOS. You've brought us to Aperture Science!"
When the elevator stopped, Gordon and Wheatley were facing a large, multi-layered "auditorium" filled with sentient turrets, including the Prima Donna and the Animal King Turret.
"Wait, you're not Chell! You are Wheatley and… Gordon Freeman, I presume? I've heard a lot about you. I'm surprised you decided to team up with a monster. He has a lot of nerve coming back here."
"I didn't mean to come back here. You should really label your entry shacks if you don't want people to come here."
"I don't have time to argue. Gordon, drop your weapon."
The turrets aimed their laser sights at Gordon.
