Chapter:22 A crazy old man

3 months have passed and boy do I miss cars and plans sure Fives didn't get tired and was faster then any horse but the problem was I was riding a live horse and she got tired plus she had to eat and drink but I ant going to complain much sense I was having fun with my wife killing shit as we want be it monsters or humans there was a few who thought they was fast with a gun boy was they surprised when a whole goes throw there head or heart We just got to where they bored of Nebraska and Wyoming we are just ridding up to our last town till we hit native land Layla and I were trotting up to a small town when I saw a pub a few houses a general store a very small gun store and an oddly big sheriff office the town was actually pretty lively definitely more than usual as we rid in we want by the sheriff's office and there sitting in the shade was an older man in a white long sleeve shirt and a brown vest and pants and on his hip was a holster and on his chest was a shiny sheriffs star leaning against one of the porch pillars was a young man he wears a red long-sleeved shirt and a black vest and pants on his head was a very white hat he had two holsters on each hip and I could tell both the belt and holsters was bran new and on his chest was another star badge probably the deputy I thought as we road by I tipped my hat to them the sheriff smiled and nodded at us wall the deputy just glared at us but I didn't care to ask we road to the bar and got off are horses and hitched them I made sure to hitch mine where it could drink some water Layla walked next to me as we walked onto the porch and pushed our way through the door and it was lively in here people was laughing drinking and talking with each other but I didn't care I walked straight to the bar when I did the bar tender walked in front if me he was a chubby man with a small greasy mustache he had on a nice white shirt and red vest he looked me up and down then to Layla then back at me and asked what will it be sirs I rolled my eyes and put down a coin saying first food and drink after that I would like to know if anyone knows what's been happening passed the border the fat man nodded ok sir and he walked away we sat down at the bar it didn't take long for drinks to be put in front of us I took a drink from the mug and about spat out the beer it was flat and warm plus the taste was gods awful but it was alcohol so whatever as Layla and I drank the hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I could feel sets of eyes staring at me I turned around to see three man standing behind us they was glaring at us all three was damn ugly and stank but not from sweat no it was more naturely I could smell the fear so I assumed these three was some sort of shapeshifters if I had to guess probably some sort of beast foke so they was half human and half whatever can we help you sirs I asked calmly the one on the left who was the shortest of the three glared at my and jammed a finger to my chest saying we don't want your kind half blood this is a peaceful place leave at ones before you get hurt I rolled my eyes I will consider it thank you for your warning Sir and I turned back around not caring if my words would piss them off the man in the middle said hi that wasn't a request that was a demand and he reached out grabbing my shoulder and tried to spin me around but I didn't move no I sat there his buddies and in a low tone of voice I simple said put me down and like rat number 2 was a robot he slowly put my down but I didn't remove my pistol and in that same quiet voice I said now boys I am going to give you this one last chance we have been on the road for months sense the war ended we have killed many monsters who that today was the day and they was the one but and I tapped my barrel against his neck we are still here we just wanted a place to get a drink and get some information sense we been on the road and haven't stopped maybe we wanted to get some new clothes instead of these broke my but before he could finish I used shadow move and appeared right in front of him my pistol pressed against his temple I smiled and in that same calm quiet voice I said huh what was that rat you are obviously not using your brain so I don't I get rid of it and I squeezed the trigger but before I could finish the movement the rat tried to thrust a knife up into my chest but a shadow tendril shot out from coat wrapping around my chest the knife clanked off of it this rat eyes want wide he then want no plea but before he could finish I sliced one of my curved daggers a crossed his throat this rat feel onto the table holding his throat trying to scream but all that came out was gurgle gurgle gurgle huh what was that I can't hear you I asked still in that clam quiet voice he glared angrily at me but soon he stopped squirming and he turned to ash I side smile self clean up I like it and I turned around to the other two smiling do you two got anything to say I asked they both shook their heads immediately good now bugger off and leave us alone they both yelled yes sir and they practically ran each other over trying to get away from me I sat back down sying Layla looked over to me saying you should have killed them all I side shrugging probably the bartender came back in front of us and put another mug in front of me but also he put two plays in front of us both had potatoes and a piece of burnt stake plus some baked beans we started digging in as we was eating the fat bartender leaned forward on the bar saying you wanted to know what's been happening passed the border I nodded as I pulled out a pocket knife and cut my potato in half indeed do you know anything I asked the man side I I do there ant much in this town I don't know about apparently we have had some engine problems you know the ush but other then that there isn't much coming in nor much coming out but I warn you mate passed this point is wildlands not settled by many I took a drink I walked to the small gun shop I hitched my horse outside and I walked up the stairs and through the door when I did I was standdind in a small room there was nothing but a glass bar in front of me and behind it was two weapon racks I closed the door behind me and walked to the display case where I seen shiny new pistols but I didn't care for any of them I looked up at the gun racks but all of them was weapons I have sure these was shiny and new but every one of my weapons maybe not new but they function like they are besides every one of my weapons I clean and oil them under the guns was boxes of ammo they had everything I wanted and more that's when a old man walked through the door between the gun racks this old man had long owly white hair and his beard was shaggy and singed he smiled at me that's when I seen he had only silver teeth hello lad what can I get you I smiled and put down a peace of paper say everything on this list please the old man nodded and picked it up with his left hand that's when I seen he only had three fingers his thumb and his first two fingers the rest was gone what was left was old scarring from a explosion the old man smiled and also looked to his hand saying yes indeed they got blown the fuck off remember lad of your going to play with explosives don't have a lit candle on your work table hahaha and he looked back at the paper I about slammed my hand to my head hearing that of course y would you have a open flame next to you if your playing with bombs or gun powder its just common sense I thought but luckily I didn't the old man put the paper down and looked up to me asking lad I got only half of this shit but if I may what the hell do you need 7 boxes of 12 Gage ammo for or 10 boxs of .44 rimfire y do you need that much of anything it's not like you have a lever action pistol I smiled and pulled out my levering pistol and placed it in front of him his eyes want wide seeing the pistol I leaned forward smiling at him you threw my two new bags over my horse and grabbed the rains and started heading back into town I back up with Layla who through me another bag that was full of new clothes and a new set of boots also tied to Fives was another horse it was already had are camping supplies on it I pulled off the two bags and put it on it and like that we sattled up and road out of two towards the border we road all day only taking brakes for the horses at this point we made camp we just got done eating and at this point we was laying down under the stairs Layla was cuddled close to me asleep I was the only one who stared up at the night sky and I must say it is beautiful every stair shines and flickers so brightly I could almost reach out and touch them I raised my left hand and grasped the air that's when I seen something shoot across the night sky a shooting star make a wish Hunter I looked down to Layla on my chest and closed my eyes whispering twinkle twinkle little shooting stair my wish is this were explaining something but he told us to retreat and we did we tried to take Layla with us but she was having none of it and we got to the boats and ones we turned around we seen Hunter charge in on his bike and a flash of light and a load boom and like that they was gone Yang cut them off yelling you left them there along what's the hell is wrong with you two and she stormed in front of them Hunter and Layla is still young half-bloods don't get me wrong both are very skilled for there age but Hunter hasn't even been here a fucking year and yet you two fucking left him there what happened something clicked one of theses orbs the smaller one to be exact was radiating the same magic as Fives I looked back up to Anubis wide-eyed are you telling me I made Fives Abubis laughed child you did in the tackle box I smiled and started to remember anything from that book and surprisingly I remember quite a lot of it and unlike before I could read that code it was in I immediately opened my eyes and the first things I noticed was the two orbs in my hands the second was Layla snoring next to me and the last thing was It was still dark I slowly sat up making sure not to wake up Layla and I quickly grabbed my journal and started writing I didn't need light by the time the sun was coming up I was done but that's when it happened I was looking over my work and that's when I noticed gaps I smiled closing the book saying so that's how I start huh and I looked down to the orbs smiling that's how what starts Layla asked waking up next to me rubbing her eyes I chuckled that's how I started
