Kuzaki's skills pt 2

~Previously~

"How... how did you block me? I ran with my full speed yet you blocked me." Fuijin asked me and I responded with "Well your speed is great but mine is just faster and the spike had power just not a lot my block was strong enough to block it." Fuijin heard my answer "I see... well either way that was a good block, nice to meet you my name is Fuijin." Fuijin introduced.

"Nice to meet you to my name is Kuzaki." I introduced back.

"Sensei can I try blocking again but this time there will be 2 spikers so that I can try to learn read and guess blocking first I want to try read blocking with 2 blockers till I can actually do it. Then can I try guess blocking on 3 spikers." I approached sensei and asked him.

Sensei pondered on my idea till he eventually agreed to do it, then he called another kid named Aoki. "Hello nice to meet you my name is Aoki I play wing spiker in the left-back." He introduced.

"Hi nice to meet you too my name is Kuzaki and I play setter and also as a substitute wing spiker." I also introduced myself.

Sensei and both Fuijin and Aoki got ready and Sensei got ready to set and they both ran at the same speed everything went slow 'Hmm they're going at first tempo now read the setter, sensei is looking at Fuijin but it just seems to obvious like if he is baiting me. But his arm's are positioned in a way so that the ball does not go far and Fuijin is on the side of sensei, so it would make sense for sensei to control it so that it doesn't go far and reach Aoki. But again it could be bait he is a pro at volleyball I'm sure he is fast enough that he can switch his set and go for Aoki, but everything points toward Fuijin getting tossed to ugh Freak it I'll go with Aoki.' I finished and made up my desicion. And right as I made my decision, sensei set the ball I ran as fast as possible towards Aoki and I made it in time and stretched my arm's out with my fingertips sturdy to take all the power and I was right Aoki got the ball. But Aoki saw me and at the last minute changed his aim and instead aimed to the right and spiked.

BAM!!

thud The sound was the sound of the ball smashing into my hand and falling on the ground. 'At the last second I used my reflexes and moved my right hand a little more to the right and blocked the ball.' I thought happy that it suceeded.

"Man are you a monster you pick up everything like a sponge to water, sigh let's not wait and get straight into guess blocking. Guess blocking works like this you read the player's and find their sign's, sign's are what you call when a player gets tossed to they always have a thing they do when they are the one who gets tossed to, like maybe player 1 smirks when he gets tossed to and player 2 runs faster when he gets tossed to for example." Sensei explained to me as he called Hiro.

'hmm I see so if guess blocking is like that I think I have an idea.' I made a plan. "Sensei can I not block for 6 set's and then can I try blocking." I requested so that I can find all of their sign's and see if I can do it. The first three I will find something they all do and then the next three I will use that and see if that is the sign or not if not I'll find something they did both times and that will be their sign's.

Sensei was curious as to why I requested that but either way agreed to it and they started doing 6 set's.

~After the six sets~

'Hmm from what I saw in the siz sets it seems Fuijin's sign is he looks more focused then normal, Aoki's sign is he smiles for a second then the smile vanishes and Hiro's sign is he puts more power into his first step and jump.' I concluded and went and positioned myself and signalled to sensei I was ready.

Everything became slow and they started to run up and I looked at all of them Aoki didn't smile and Fuijin wasn't more focused but Hiro did put more power into his first step I knew who it was and ran full speed tracking Hiro and the ball flew to Hiro but I knew it would go there so I jumped and stretched my arms out and readied myself for the spike since Hiro spiked with more power than Aoki and Fuijin.

BAM!!

thud The ball smashed into my hand and fell to the floor. "Yes! I did guess blocking it worked lets go!" I said in happiness.

Sensei came towards me "I think it's time you learn receiving here meet Nawaki he is a exceptionally talented and hardworking and plays libero I'm sure he can help you." Sensei introduced.

"Hi nice to meet you my name is Nawaki, I play the libero position and I'm sure I'll make you better at receiving." Nawaki introduced himself.

"Hi it is nice to meet you too my name is Kuzaki, I play the setter position as well as a substitute wing spikerand thanks for helping me." I introduced myself.

We walk to the ground together while calling Hiro,Fuijin and Aoki to spike so that we can recive their spikes. First Hiro will spike so that I can get better at receiving powerful spikes then Fuijin will spike so that I can get better at receiving people who are fast and spike quickly then Aoki will spike so that I can get used to people who change where they spike at the last second tricky spikers. This order would be how they spike.

Since Hiro would first spike he got ready and I signalled that I was ready, Hiro ran with his full speed and jumped when sensei tossed and everything turned slow as I tracked where his arm was pointing and his eyes was aiming so I ran to the area where the ball would hit and Hiro spiked with his full power and I tried to receive it BAM! but the ball smashed into his arm's and flew out of the court and I wasn't able to receive it.

'Dammit I was so close just I made the mistake of not knowing what way I wanted to receive it I didn't put my arm's rigid and strong to stop the ball and keep it up nor did I absorb the ball and pass the ball using it's own power and speed.' I reprimanded myself for the mistake.

Nawaki approached "You made a mistake which ain't that surprising it is your first time receiving so it is expected you make a mistake so stop beating yourself over it. And it seems you know what you did wrong, so improve from it and get better." Nawaki advised.

I nodded "I want to focus on receiving by absorbing the spike and pass it using the speed and power of the spike and I want to add a little twist to it I have a idea." I decided and got ready for Fuijin this time.

Fuijin just like Hiro ran with his full speed at great speeds and jumped for the toss sensei set, and everything again slowed down as I tracked where he was aiming just like last time and ran to the area where he was aiming the ball and got ready to receive the ball and pass to Nawaki. Then Fuijin spiked the ball with speed BAM! I steadily controlled the ball and moved a little back to to absorb it, and I tilted my arm a little to the left and crouched to the left with my right leg crouched and left leg stretched. I passed the ball with a curve because of the tilt of my arm's the pass went with great speed, as I converted the spikes energy to the pass and when the pass came towards Nawaki he quickly reacted with his experience being a libero and got the pass.

Everyone was impressed with the way I recived the ball, and slowly Nawaki approached me "That was a very good recieve I didn't expect you to receive it so well." Nawaki praised.
