Chapter 4 - Awakening
In the eastern part of the Chernobyl Islands, there was a man currently pacing back and forth outside the room of his wife, who was at the moment giving birth to their second child. His name is Jonathan Ignox, a Count of a small kingdom in the Chernobyl Islands. Beside him stood his first child, Kaliweir Ignox, who was 5 years old at this time. In contrast to his father, Kaliweir was currently drinking some juice that had been freshly made for him by the housemaids. He did not seem to be worried a bit about the situation. He looked at his father's anxious expression and said, "Father, why are you so worried, mother will be fine, you do remember that she is a knight, right? Giving birth is not that draining on a female knight." Jonathan looked at his relaxed son and listening to his words, he also calmed down a bit and sat down beside his son.
"Son, it's not that I am too worried about the birth of my second child, it's just that I'm worried about his potential. From what I have heard, the potential or aptitude to be a magus is fixed at birth and can not be changed later on no matter how hard you try. You know, no one in our family has a high enough aptitude to become a magus. I just hope that this child would have a good aptitude." said Jonathan feeling anxious for his soon to be born child. He suddenly heard baby cries from inside the room where his wife was giving birth and jumped out of his seat and ran to their room without waiting to be asked to come in. He could not hide his excitement as soon as he laid eyes on the child in his wife's arms. The doctor came to him and said, "Congratulations, Count Ignox! You have given birth to a very healthy son." Hearing what the doctor said, Jonathan could not help but smile. He walked to his wife, Countess Vinas and asked her, how she was and if there were any problems at all. To which his wife just assured him that they are both healthy and safe.
Jonathan on hearing that just breathed a sigh of relief and looked at his son once more. He then said, "Since we have a new child, he shall need a name, what do you think about Raynor Ignox?" Vena looked at her husband with a smile and then just agreed to the name and said,"All right, we shall call him Ray for short." After that Jonathan gave a bag of gold coins to the doctor and sent him on his way after expressing his thanks. With that Robert had been born in this new world and had been named Raynor. Just like that a few years passed in the blink of an eye.

The last few years had been quite normal for the Ignox family. Today is Raynor's fourth birthday and also the day that he will regain his memories. When he opened his eyes in the morning, he suddenly heard a voice in his head. [Beep! It is detected that the host has reached the required age to regain his memories. Transferring memories... Complete! Transferring control of the body back to the host... Complete!] The sound of the A.I. Chip sounded in Raynor's mind as soon as he regained consciousness. The last thing he remembered was talking to the GOD and losing consciousness after the GOD sent him on his way to his next life. The next time he opened his eyes a new set of memories fused with him and he understood his current situation. He had been reborn as the son of a noble house, a Count at that. From what he remembered, Fang Ming took over the body of Leylin Farlier, the son of a Viscount. He seemed to have been reborn under better circumstances than Leylin. Robert or rather Raynor now could not hide his excitement and smiled. He made up his mind that he would strive to reach much further than what Leylin could achieve. He did not think that rank 9 was the end as he had seen a true GOD himself. He could say for certain that the GOD he met was definitely stronger than a Rank 9 magus or how else could he have sent me to this world. With that Raynor made up his mind to reach the same heights as the GOD he had met and gave his first ever order to the A.I. Chip.
