Chapter 1- Adam Burn

It was early morning, you could see a person who had black hair which was up to his shoulder and had a very lean body. He was sitting with his leg crossed and eyes closed, trying to feel the qi in the surroundings but no matter how hard he tried he wasn't successful. After a while he decided to stop and open in his eyes that looked blue like the ocean. However, he had a disappointing expression as he knew that he had failed once again. His name was Adam Burn who had turn 16 a few months ago, but he wasn't from this world. He was from a planet called Earth that was a world completely different from his current but he didn't mind it at first and was actually excited to explore this new world, until he found out that he was in a cliche situation where he was very weak and had no power. This didn't bother him at all because he knew in the novels he read that there always something which will make him stronger. Sadly, it never happened and a year had past, but no matter what he tried he couldn't cultivate. He read many books that his clan had so the knowledge about this world was clear, however he never had the clearance to the higher floors in the library to know more about cultivation. Luckily, for him his parents had a decent standing in there clan which benefited him a little about how the cultivation system works, even though he knew how it worked and understood the principle, his body would never respond like it supposed to.

After, he had finished the routine, Adam headed back home and saw a empty house as his parents were out most likely to be in a clan meeting and to confirm there was a note from mom telling him about where they were and food was placed on the table. He had a shower and then went to the table to eat his food quietly in a very empty house. This was something Adam was used to as his parents were usually at work due to their job. His dad was Shane Burn who was talented blacksmith and ran the shop for the clan which would be one of the ways the Burn Clan made their money from. While, his mother Rebecca Burn would help with the finance and management of the shop due to her business knowledge from her working in auction houses before her marriage. Today, he knew there would be a clan meeting and all the elders will be there discussing about the event that will happen in two days time.

It was about the talent in the current generation to see who could apply to the Phoenix Academy. This was because they were holding an entrance examination and they would only accept the top 10. This is why it was an important event for the big families like the Burn, Raven, Knight to do well and get one or two of their talents to be there as it would increase their standings in the village. Adam, knew he had no chance as he was stuck in the cultivation realm of peak Body Refinement rank while other people had broken through and were in the Qi Disciple rank. It was very annoying for him that he could do nothing as he wasn't smart to make a difference in the clan and didn't have a strong cultivation. He wondered why he came to this world where he was given nothing except the same name but other than that he was exactly the same useless human being.
