First Words

We spent the day at the park and went in most of the rides. I don't think Harper's hand left River's once. Everyone one went on one last ride except me and Dieter. He was hugging me from behind as we watched them get ready to ride.

'Did you enjoy today?' He asked.

'Yeah.' I smiled. Then he got a call from his dad.

'Hey, Pa.' He said. He nodded a couple of time and said sure before hanging up, 'he's taking Diego and Freya for the night as well.' He said.

'Is he sure?' I squeezed his hand.

'Yeah.' He hugged me tighter. They came back and Callum was wobbling all over the place.

'Woah, I'm dizzy.' He tripped and fell on Dieter who caught him.

'Can we head home.' Bailey yawned.

'Yeah, they're closing soon anyways.' River said. So we all went back to the entrance and Harper got in River's car, we all knew what those two were doing tonight. Callum took Bailey home and me and Dieter got in our car too. We were about half way through the journey when it started raining. The rain got heavier and heavier until the noise of the rain on the car was almost deafening.

'Woah, that's a lot if water.' He chuckled. We went in to the house and Dieter went to the loo. I went out in the back garden. I sat on a soaked sun bed. I closed my eyes and let the rain fall in my face. Then I heard Dieter.

'Be careful. I don't want you catching a cold.' He said. I turned around. He was shirtless and barefoot. I tapped the space next to me and beckoned him to sit. He came and sat behind me, his arms wrapped around me.

'Thank you for today, hunny.' I told him.

'Your welcome.' He giggled. His thumb stroked my arm.

'I love you, so much.' I turned around, his hair was all damp. He smiled.

'I love you more.' He took my chin in his hands and pulled my head towards his. I kissed him hard and wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist. The kiss got deeper and soon became something more. His hands started to pull up the damp shirt I was wearing. I only kissed him harder. The rain never stopped falling. It hit our skin with force. Although, the rain did cool us off. We cuddled tight and watched the sunset through the rain. The raindrops running down my skin felt nice. I breathed in and the wet grass and Dieter's cologne mixed together in one smell. He kissed my forehead.

'We better get inside before we do get sick.' He chuckled. He got up and threw his jeans on. Then he pulled me up by my hand and took me inside. I went to grab some towels and a change of clothes for us both. I had a very light cotton dress on and Dieter was in joggers. We cuddled on the sofa.

'What do you want to do now.' I asked. Dieter opened his mouth to speak but he got interrupted my a call. Cain was face timing.

'Dieter! How do you get this boy to sleep.' He sounded flustered.

'I had to cuddle with him until he fell asleep.' He said.

'I've tried that but he won't stop crying. The dog is alright though, she's a lovely creature.' He looked deep in thought. Then gasped.

'Maybe he's missing you!' He went upstairs and to his word Diego was sniffling in his bed.

'Sonny look, it's mommy and daddy!' He turned the screen around to Diego. He almost immediately stopped crying and stared at the screen. Then he started giggling. Cain gave Diego the screen and disappeared somewhere.

'Hiya darling, aren't you sleepy?' I smiled at him. He giggled more and shoved his teddy to the screen.

'Yes Diego, teddy.' Dieter chuckled Cain came back with a bottle of milk. He gave it to Jake who showed it to us before drinking it.

'Did you have fun today?' Cain asked.

'Yeah, how was Diego.' I asked

'Fine, fine. We went to the soft play area, that kid sure loves ball pits.' He chuckled to himself. Then Diego pointed to the camera.

'Momma, dadda.' He said. We all looked at him.

'Say again, Diego?.' Dieter smiled.

'Momma, dadda.' Diego giggled. I laughed.

'Was that his first words?' Cain asked. We both nodded, not taking our eyes off Diego.

'Haha! Wonderful!' He chuckled, 'Dieter, your first word was cat. You said it when you were playing with Toffee. Do you remember him?' Cain chuckled.

'Toffee the cat, I remember.' He nodded. Then Diego curled up and fell asleep.

'Right, thats all I needed.' Cain said while putting the blanket on Diego.

'Thanks again Cain.' I told him.

'No worries.' He smiled before hanging up.

'He just said his first words.' Dieter chuckled. I giggled then yawned, 'you tired?' I nodded. He took me to bed and we fell asleep in each others arms. No crying disturbing us.
