Chapter 14: 11:36PM
11:36PM. Mellan and Gabriel flies around, searching for some hint of where Aodh went. They fly around for a couple of minutes, nothing.
Gabriel: Let's split up, we'll cover more ground.
Mellan: Alright, good luck.
Eventually, Mellan looks underground under Building 0 where he finds hundreds of deactivated B.0.T.s lined up in rows.
Mellan: What the...
He's stunned but then, one of the B.0.T.s turn its head and turns on. Mellan quickly flies away before anything happens. Gabriel ends up in Building 1 and see's the wall that previously had the hidden door. Midnight was soon to fall so he quickly builds up the courage to goes through and see if anything would be there. Lo and behold he now finds himself in a black void. He creates a tendril to return to so he doesn't get lost and trapped as he begins searching around. Eventually he reaches a horrid sight.
Gabriel: A-Aodh...
Aodh, and the rest of the losers from the tournament hung up crucified. Each one of them slowly fading away and a part of their body missing. Adebiyi without his eye, Ava without her arm, and Aodh with out one of his legs. Gabriel rushes back to go find Mellan and soon finds him. He takes him to the Aodh.
Mellan: What happened...
Gabriel: I-I don't know.
Mellan: I knew we should've stopped a while ago. Why didn't we stop a long time ago?
Gabriel: Let's go find Ali and the others before-
Cenric: Finally, thought I was gonna have to hunt you down myself.
Cenric reveals himself amongst the corpses.
Cenric: I really though it was just the kid with the bandana but to think there was 3 of you snooping around places you shouldn't have been.
Gabriel and Mellan are too stunned to move.
Cenric: Welp, can't let you 2 go but hey, let's play a little game. I'll give you 5 seconds to run away as fast as you can then I'll kill you.
Gabriel: ...
Mellan: ...
Cenric: 5...
The 2 of them bolt towards the exit.
Cenric: 4...
Mellan: We have to find Ali, he always seems to know just the right thing to do.
Cenric: 3...
They return to their bodies and run out of room 18 and see Ali.
Cenric: 2...
Gabriel: Ali, we need your help. We found Aodh but-
In a second Ali disappeared and Cenric appeared.
Cenric: 1...Times up.
