Chapter 18: Soul Field

Gabriel wakes up in a field, Ali and Kira sitting with him waiting for him to wake up.

Gabriel: What happened...

Ali: We left the tournament.

Gabriel: What?

Ali: We manage to end the tournament by killing Cenric.

Gabriel: Really?

Ali: I know you have a lot of questions so let me explain everything. What's the first thing you want to know?

Gabriel: How did you bring me here? Y3110W just killed Cenric and I was sure I was next.

Kira: I went to go get you after dealing with Jae and I saw Y3110W just standing over you. When he saw me he picked you up and gave you to me before waking away.

Gabriel: Okay, I only have 1 more question. Why do you know so much about everything?

Ali: It's a lot but to summarize, my brother is the founder of the tournament. I've been trying to stop him and this tournament but for the first time in 1000 years the tournament has been prematurely ended. I wanted to keep you, Aodh, and Mellan from putting yourselves in danger by using my ability but it seems like you're the key Gabriel. You've done what I couldn't. So I need your help to fully stop him.

Gabriel sits back down and thinks for a minute.

Gabriel: Okay. I don't fully understand everything but I want to. I'll come along.

Ali: Great. First order of business is becoming stronger. You're way too weak at the moment to help. That's why I brought you here, the Soul Field, an area conducive to soul manipulation training.

Gabriel: Cenric was talking about soul manipulation like he knew my ability through and through.

Kira: Oh, this might start getting a little confusing but Soul Manipulation, your ability, and soul manipulation are 2 completely different things.

Gabriel: What?

Ali: A person is made of 3 parts, the mind, body, and soul. A person can turn part of their soul into a weapon, the weakest being a gun, with a different ability depending on the person. You just so happened to have the ability to attack others' souls.

Kira: When a person gains a good understanding of their soul they can manipulate part of it into becoming a different weapon other than the basic gun. I personally choose a sword.

Ali: This training will help you move past low soul manipulation with your gun to something even greater.

Back in the Guns Blazing Arena, the rest of the challengers gather around in Building 1 while GR33N give an announcement.

GR33N: Attention all challengers, the tournament have unfortunately been canceled due to unforseen circumstances. In exchange anyone to bring the heads of Ali Zaghloul, Kira Bychkov and Gabriel Clèment to me will receive any wish of theirs to come true. Good luck.
