Chapter 23: Meeting

Punches fly from both sides. 3 and 6, 1 and 6, 5 and 1 from Kira. 4 and 2, 5 and 6, 2 and 6 from Zavier. Zavier totals 154. Kira just barely reaches 100 points. Kira throws another punch and roles double 3's, cutting her total in half.

Kira: Ugh this is so annoying!

Zavier: Just give up, lie down and accept your fate, I'm just luckier.

Basco: Kira, listen. My ability is similar, a gamble in the middle of battle. Guess what I do whenever I don't get the roll I want?

Kira: Lose?

Basco: No, I keep rolling until I get exactly what I want. 99% of gamblers quit before hitting it big!

Zavier: Yeah, or until their dead broke.

Basco: You're faster, stronger, and just better. Get this over with so we can keep going!

Kira: Never thought I'd agree with you but I guess you're right.

She quickly closes the distance between her and Zavier and releases a flurry of punches into him. 2 and 4, 4 and 5, 2 and 6, 5 and 2, 3 and 1, 6 and 6, 6 and 6, 6 and 6. A nonstop barrage of punches and rolls of the die. Even when she would get double 3's or even double 1's she kept going. Soon, after a couple hours of beating Zavier to a pulp, she reaches 500 points.

Kira: Finally, guess that means I win.

Zavier: Luck...is always...on...my side...

Kira: Sometimes skill just beats luck. Now I'm going to enjoy cutting your head off for wasting my time.

With a swift clean cut, Kira, Basco, and the now recovered Blair walk into the dome. In the heart of the dome, B14CK, the head B.0.T of this tournament, gathers two other B.0.T.s, PURP13, the second announcer along with B14CK, and 0R4NG3, the B.0.T. that was placed in Basco and Blair's room.

0R4NG3: I don't know why you wouldn't just let me kill those 2.

PURP13: Because of their potential, the founder would've found a lot of use their abilities.

B14CK: Well good for you, plans have changed. We should've realized Basco Barry was working with Ali sooner. Then we wouldn't have to deal with 3 big threats.

0R4NG3: Then let me deal with them. I'm perfect for eliminating groups of threats.

B14CK: Careful, don't underestimate them, especially Kira Bychkov.
