Chapter 41 Summons

DING Mission Accomplished

Reward Unlocked Character Summon Ability.

1000000 Mission points.

Mike sat in his cabin as they made their way to Morgonrote. As much as he would like to look at the islands he had been given, he needed to get back to Orb for now.

"As a reward for unlocking summon system 1 free random premium summon acquired. Please use the summon before the tutorial begins. " The system said mechanically

"Thank you system please begin random summon." Mike said, looking on in excitement. there was a flash of light that began to change form rapidly before settling on Andrew Waltfeld. The older man looked around.

"The system gave me an idea of what you needed. I have no problem helping you, but if you betray my trust, I will stop you." Waltfeld said. "It also said not to mention it to others. How about I set my story as a friend of your parents?"

Mike agreed, "I appreciate the help, my only goal I'd to build a nation that the people can live good lives in." He paused, thinking, "A old family friend will be a good story. I already have the eternal. Would you be willing to take command of it again?"

Waltfeld nodded. "When we get to Orb, I will review the ship its condition, and our military of that is alright." He said.

Mike nodded. "Please do let's introduce you to the rest of the crew." Walking out, he introduced Waltfeld as one of his families old friends who had come to help put Orb.To cover his sudden appearance he said that he arrived during the negotiations but wanted to speak with Mike before making himself known.

Everyone greeted him warmly. They figured that if Mike had brought him onboard, he would be useful. After the introductions, they were nearing Morgonrote and getting into position. The Mass driver launched them into space and back towards Orb. Waltfeld found a terminal and began to learn.

Mike, on the other hand, returned to his cabin and reviewed the rest of the explanation of the summon system.

4 Types of Character summons were available.

1. Support Premium (These ranged from genius scientists to tacticians and politicians. There were also administrators and others. 10000 MP per summon

2. Regular support. (Crew members, Mechanics, Doctors, Nurses)50 MP each

3. Regular Pilots (All different Gundam timelines and factions) 100 MP each per summon

4. Premium Pilots (Different timelines)

The fourth that was special. For every 50 regular pilots, he could summon 1 Premium to command them. The summon cost 10000 MP each time it was used.

This was seriously overpowered their had to be a drawback. Then he read on, "All summons will have a nominal loyalty to summoner, but if summoner does not build on that loyalty or does something that goes against summons values, then summon may rebel against summoner." Mike took that warning seriously

imagining summoning Char or Zechs Marquise only to have them go berserk. It would be a disaster. He would have to treat the summons carefully.

Realizing he couldn't keep his system a secret forever, he resolved to share this with those closest to him. Other wise hoe would he explain the people no one had ever seen showing up.

As he was leaving his cabin to go get something to eat, Waltfeld met him outside the door. "Mike, we need to talk." Mike led him back into the cabin

"Whats on your mind?" Mike asked.

"I just got done reviewing several Gundam battles you were in. You're pretty good," Andrew paused, "For a clueless rookie."

"Hey, I've been doing my best," Mike said, trying to defend himself.

"Best isn't good enough. You rely too much on the capabilities of your machine. If you ever face something that was equal, you would get beaten easily." Waltfeld paused before continuing. "It's not to say you don't have talent, for a kid with no training to speak of you have been doing rather well."

"I may only have one arm and one eye now, but I can still show you a thing or 2. I was called the desert tiger for a reason. When we get to Orb, I want to take you and those other pilots, grab a few Zakus, and really put you through your paces. Before I take over the Eternal, I will get you a lot to at least basic competency with a suit. if you neglect the basics, no matter how good your suit is, it will eventually not be enough."

Mike had to agree with his logic and agreed to training. "But first, I want to tell them about the system. I will be summoning more people, and if I don't come clean now, it will only get harder." Mike said. "We will stick to the cover story for anyone outside of the circle, though."
