POV Mike
School the next day after his nighttime visitors was slow Cassandra was not there that day and he couldn't keep his mind on the schoolwork too much was going on in his head. He had a meeting with Walters after school around 5 to get her opinion of how to best protect himself legally. But he needed someone with security experience badly.
Glancing at his homeroom tea her he got a good idea and smirked. SHIELD was trying to use him. Why not use them? Fury was trying to send an observer, a consession he was originally reluctant about, but what if he used this as a method to get a good security chief? Maybe reveal a little more to Fury to make himself more valuable, not the mobile suit, of course, but maybe one of the other tech that he could build?
Mike approached Black Widow after class. He surprised her by asking, "Can you pass on to Fury that I need to talk to him at Morganrote tonight if he is available?" She agreed, realizing that this kid was too smart. and had already figured out she was supposed to be observing him at school. " Let him know I'm cooking dinner around 7 if he wants anything." Mike added before walking off.
Peter approached Mike and started asking him about his company. Spiderman was already active, and Kai had seen the newspapers. Kai realized that Peter is a genius, makes his own gadgets, and only works at the Bugle to make ends meet. Why not recruit him now? He is loyal to a fault and will do anything to help out his friends.) "Peter what are you doing this weekend?" Peter was stunned for a few seconds. "I have to work at the Bugle and do some homework why?" "I would like you to come out to Morganrote for a tour on Saturday. I believe it would be worth your while." Mike responded.
After that, Mike went to Walter's Law Office to speak to Jennifer. After the pleasantries, Jennifer got down to business. "What was so important that you called me to a meeting on such short notice?" She asked. "I had a couple of late night visitors that like to wear spandex." Mike responded. "These visitors trespassed onto my property and threatened me. I need to know what is within my power legally to prevent these actions from happening again."
Jennifer was quiet for a minute. "Which two showed up?" hoping it wasn't any of her close friends. "The blue boyscout and the flying mouse," Mike responded. Jennifer rubbed her temples despite them being 2 of the most high-profile heroes they also had some of the biggest controversies in the hero buisness. Batman, more so than Superman, but Superman still had that time that he was brainwashed by Darkseid.
"We can start by filing a formal complaint with the Justice League and move on from there if it continues." Jennifer stated. It wouldn't be the first complaint against Batman, but it might be the first against Superman. "The League tends to sanction themselves to keep up appearances, so it should be an effective warning." Mike thought about it and agreed. He thanked her and asked her if he could have a consult involving an employment contract next week due to him wanting to bring in the first employees of Morganrote and wanted an iron clad contract with NDAs attached. She agreed, and Mike left to go home.
POV Fury
Fury couldn't believe his eye. The dilapidated complex was fully restored and even more impressive than many SHIELD facilities. (And Mike said he needs to talk? He already showed that he knew he was being watched is it about that?) About then Mike walked out of the admin building. "Greetings, Director, care to join me for dinner?" Mike asked. Fury agreed, hoping to have a better look at the complex. Mike led Fury to an elevator and took him to the cafeteria level. "What is all this, Mr Yamato?" Fury asked in amazement. "This is the real Morganrote, Director. I have chosen to trust you with some of my secrets. I hope you understand the need for discretion." Mike responded. Fury snorted. " I wouldn't be the Director of SHIELD if I didn't know when to keep my mouth shut." Mike handed Fury a hamburger and a glass of water before leading him to a table and sitting down.
POV Mike
(Fury is taking this better than I thought) Mike thought to himself. "Director Fury I have a proposal that could benefit both SHIELD and Morganrote." Mike stated. He knew he had Fury's attention, "And what would that be?" Fury asked. Mike while sitting at the table handed Fury a tablet containing the item he was going to sell to SHIELD. "What is this thing?" Fury inquired. "It is called a mobile worker it can be fitted with 2 30mm Machine guns and has higher speed menuverability and armor than many Main Battle Tanks. The engine is a hydrogen engine that can run for a long time before needing to be refueled. Morganrote can begin production of them soon and they will be exclusive to SHIELD."
Fury wasn't born yesterday "What is in this for you?"
Mike responded by saying "First off the price we can produce it for 9 Million per unit. Just under the price of one of the militaries main battle tanks." Fury nodded content with the price. "Secondly" Mike continued "I need the one who you send to be an observer to act as a temporary head of security."
POV Fury
( What is this kid playing at?) Fury wondered. "It's not that it is impossible, but why have the observer do it instead of bringing in your own people? he asked out loud. "Simple really," came the response. "I need someone here now who knows what they are doing once I have my own people then they will no longer have to pull extra duty. In exchange the first 2 Mobile workers will be free." "When can I see one of these things in action?" Fury asked. "I am free Sunday if you have a testing area in mind." Mike responded. that works if this works as well as you claim you have a deal. Fury left thinking he got the better end of the deal by a wide margin, not seeing the grin on Mike's face.
