Account deletion was a horrifying prospect for everyone because all that hard work you had put in since you first joined the game would go to waste! Some fellows might not even be able to tolerate it and would end their lives on the spot, and there were many such cases in reality already!
However, it could also be a rebirth for some. Though Umbra was the best guild, some of these fellows might have come from other guilds or have been on their own for a while before signing up, causing them to take a wayward path.
Even if they restarted, the skills and techniques they had acquired over the years wouldn't disappear, as they would likely be able to pass Umbra's tests even easier now, thereby achieving a higher position in the guild!
