It had been a few days since the betrayal incident, and during that time Jessica had locked herself in her room.

She just needed to excuse her period, and Rey couldn't do anything to force her out of the room.

The girl still needed time to think, but the wound didn't give her enough time to do so. There was only anger, disappointment, and extreme sadness in the girl's heart.

Knock-knock!

"Hey, Sis! Can I borrow the cellphone for a moment?"

Vera's voice came from the front door of Jessica's room. It was the weekend, and as usual, the youngest occupant of the share house was returning home.

Jessica thought the girl had left the share house.

"Come in, Vi!" cried Jessica slowly.

The door opened, and a short cute girl appeared from behind the door, smiling widely.

"Geez, what's with your eyes? You cry a lot, don't you?" she shouted as she sat down on the carpet next to Jessica.

"Yes, I see! Do you want to borrow my cell phone? Where's yours?" said Jessica slowly.

"Yesterday, I playing with Kevin near the pool, William touched my hand, and plunged it into the water."

Jessica smiled faintly hearing Vera's story. She then pulled her cellphone from under the pillow and gave it to Vera.

"Thank you, Sis. I just wanted to ask my brother to pick me up, because I've run out of money for snacks, I don't have any left for the cost of going home." vent Vera.

"If you want, just use my money!"

Vera smiled broadly, then shook her head quickly.

"No, it doesn't feel good to have debt! Besides, my brother happens to be in Jakarta, so I'll just ask him to pick me up!"

Jessica just nodded in understanding.

"By the way, why are you crying?"

To be honest, that was the question Jessica was avoiding the most right now. They didn't know anything about her relationship with Rey. So, it is very difficult to tell them.

"A broken heart, huh? I can't let it go! A woman as beautiful as you, shouldn't be sad because of a man's problems! Let's just say this, do you want to come with me to my house? My house is quiet because mom and dad went to Hong Kong. You can look for a new atmosphere! Plus, the men there are all handsome, Sis! Who knows there is someone who can heal your broken heart!"

Jessica was silent, trying to think about her junior's offer. To hell with the handsome men Vera mentioned earlier, she just wanted to get as far away from Rey and Lusi as possible for a while.

The girl needs space, and time to calm down.

"If it's okay, I want to come with you to your home! Your house is in Bandung, right?"

Vera smiled widely, nodding quickly.

"Yes, you have to come with me. I've already chatted with my brother, and he said that in fifteen minutes, he will arrive! I'll be waiting, Sis. I haven't cleaned my room yet."

Jessica nodded slowly and immediately got ready as soon as Vera came out of her room.

She didn't bring much, only a few pieces of warm clothes, a wallet, and a cellphone. She packed it neatly in her medium-sized backpack when she was in college. The bag was a birthday present from Rey.

Jessica still remembers how happy she was when she received the bag first.

The girl inhaled as much air as she could to fill her lungs. After feeling a little calm, she took the bag and left the room.

Jessica stepped slowly through Rey's room and moved quickly to descend the stairs. She could see, Rey who was chatting casually with Lusi near the pool.

Then, the pain came again. As if to sprinkle salt on a wound that hasn't dried, or I don't know, Jessica feels, it hurts more than that.

The girl walked quickly to Vera's room.

"Did you say goodbye to Rey?" Vera asked as soon as she came out of her room.

"Why do I have to say goodbye to him?" said Jessica slowly.

Vera shook her head slowly, then shrugged her shoulders.

"So far, Rey has always taken care of you, so who knows he'll be worried if you don't say goodbye!"

Jessica smiled sadly at Vera's words.

She started to wonder. All this time, when Rey was taking care of her, what did he think of her? Fiance, best friend, friend, or what? What is Jessica to him?

"Relax, as long as he is with Lusi, he won't care about me!" said Jessica.

Jessica walked ahead of Vera to get out of the house, she looked quite confused by what she just said.

Yes, this is very confusing indeed. When Rey always took care of her and watched her, the man dared to touch another woman. What was the man thinking? What feelings does he have for Jessica?

"That's my brother, Sis! Come on!" Vera gently pulled Jessica's arm to get closer to a black car that had just stopped in front of the gate.

A man who seemed to be about the same age as she got out of the car and approached them.

"Sis, this is my brother!" Vera turned to Jessica, then turned to look at her brother.

"Al, introduce yourself. This is Jessica, the one I used to tell you before!"

The man smiled warmly when Vera mentioned Jessica's name.

"Oh, hi. Nice to meet you, Vera has told me a lot about you. Thank you so much for cooking food for this kid, if not, she will eat instant noodles!" said the man in a friendly manner.

"You're welcome. Cooking is my hobby, so never mind," said Jessica perfunctory.

After arriving at Vera's house, Vera's brother took Jessica to the guest room. Vera herself went straight to her room, because of motion sickness.

"This is your room, feel free to stay! Make yourself at home. You also don't have to worry about Vera, she usually gets motion sickness when she sees the traffic jam!"

"Yes, thanks!"

"Oh, my name is Alex!"

"I'm Jessica."

"Then I'll go downstairs first, if you need anything, don't hesitate!"

Jessica nodded in agreement with Alex's words until finally, the man left her alone.

After entering the room, and putting her bag on the bed, Jessica went to the balcony, then saw the view of the city of Bandung which was quite pleasing to the eye.

The air was quite cool, making the girl's feelings that were originally chaotic, slowly improve.

All right, what should she do now?

How long would she have to be quiet and pretend nothing happened?

Jessica's heart skipped a beat when the sound of her cellphone ringing loudly came from inside her jeans pocket.

As she pulled her cellphone out of it, she hastily put it back in when she saw Rey's name on the screen.

She continued to ignore incoming calls from the man.

Jessica didn't have enough strength to talk to him at the moment. So he thought, avoiding was the best way.

At least until she decided on their relationship.

Knock-knock!

Jessica turned towards the door and hastily opened it.

Alex was standing in front of the door smiling faintly at her.

"What is it?" the girl asked confused.

"There is no food here, I want to go out to buy food, do you want to come?" said Alex casually.

"Buy what?"

"Maybe fried chicken, fried rice, whatever!"

Jessica nodded slowly. Maybe going out to have a look, could fix her messy mood right now.
