Guardian in Orario (up for adoption)

This has a similar setting as my first book. Izuku died and reincarnated as a baby. The world the baby was born in a very cruel and twisted. After adapting to the world and gaining strength beyond what others could even dream of, he died. Now, on his third life, his cheat, the golden finger, came in late. In a world of monster, magic, and gods, he decided he will be at the top. I do not own Danmachi, I do not own anything but the plot and OCs. Do not expect anything grand or the like, I am just doing this for fun, everything I type is just things that come to my mind, so it will probably not be consistent or very good, if you hate systems, reincarnation, OP characters, or just a jackass of a main character who doesn’t really care about the lives and deaths of others, this isn’t the book for you, I hope you find a book or fanfic you like.

Chapter 2

It was easy, some goblins species often slept during the day. And it seems these goblins were one of them. Author was used to slitting the throats of his enemies, so his speed in doing so was very quick. The Domanan Peasants that followed him were not used to this however so they were quite slow.

And when they were around halfway done a Domanan Peasants tripped and caused a clang sound when his short sword fell to the ground. The goblins who have more sensitive hearing than the normal human picked up this sound. The nearby goblins woke up and immediately screeched upon seeing a human.

This woke up the other goblins in the village. The Domanan Peasant had gotten up and picked up his sword, ready to fight to the death with the goblins. The goblins charged at the humans, they would be fast for the average human, however, to Author, who has been through thousands of battles, saw them as slow. The Domanan Peasant who were at least trained in combat could see their movements. The Domanan Peasant side stepped and slashed the neck of the goblin before he back stepped and thrust his sword into the forehead of the goblin.

Author didn't need so much movement, just swinging his blade was enough. He would infuse his sword with his aura, which he would send out with each swing, the aura would fly across the battle field and cut the heads of the goblins. It was easy for him.

In just a short few seconds he managed to kill over a hundred goblins with ease. The Domanan Peasant managed to kill around a hundred total. The other three hundred goblins charged his way, Author used his sword technique and killed a hundred goblins in just a few seconds. Then using his sword he charged at the large goblin, a mutated goblin, who seemed like the leader.

He charged at the goblin and slashed its head off. This slowed the momentum of the goblins. This had scared the goblins by a bit, but goblins and other monsters by nature hate humans and would charge at them even if they were filled with fear.

At this the Domanan Peasants starts to ramp up their efforts and started to kill the monsters. Sweat started to build up on their foreheads, the goblins were not strong, but the sheer number of them made it difficult.

The goblins slowly started to dwindle in number before they all died. The Domanan Peasants were tired, but they were all alive.

[ After a hard fought battle, the enemy has been defeated. ]

[ Quest: Kill the ones that dare to take your land is complete.

Reward: Barrack Building Card ]

[ Evaluation: Being sneaky can get things done, because of this, none of your allies died. Your achievements are praiseworthy. ]

The system said to him, if this was in his past life, he would not be able to get such a high evaluation in this battle, it was only possible due to his ability and his experience in his past life.

But that was not the end, more notification appeared before him.

[ Your forces have gained enough experience to level up. ]

Their labor had been fruitful, for they had killed many goblins each, and because the enemies were not being that were affected by morale and would just attack without much thought, the experience they gained were even higher.

As such they were able to level up.

[ Upgradable troops: Domanan Peasants x20 ]

[ Spend 10 silver coins for each level up to Domana conscript. ]

And here lies the problem, this world runs on Valis, a money that originated from a city call Orario, this is because they hold a monopoly on these items call magic stones, and these magic stones are basically world's equivalent to crude oil or electricity. And because the people all want magic stones to use for say, a refrigerator or a stove or lamp, they accept their terms, which is basically to switch to their currency, Valis.

And the thing is, the system does not accept this world's currency, so he needs a way to get more money from his past life. And he had a few. He has a vault that was made into his soul and a storage room that is connected to his mana.

But accessing it is difficult. His mana is very different from his past life and accessing his soul is something he can only do once he is a master. One thing he also learned during his time here, from the system, is that peasants although could be used as a military, is still a peasant, so they need to 'pay' taxes every week, which magically appears to him.

And anyone higher on the military scale he would need to pay a wage. He currently has ten gold coins, which is equal to a thousand silver coins. It would take twenty percent of his total budget to level all of them up, and he does not yet know the wages, all he knows is that he needs to pay them every week.

"System, upgrade half of them." He said. Making his own body winch in pain at his budget being lowered by such a large amount.

Half of the peasants were engulfed in a light. The light shone for a second before it disappeared and from the light came ten people, conscripts.

They wore even heavier leather armor, in their arms were a spear with a small iron tip, and their other hand was a small round wooden shield with leather strapped onto the front. Making it stronger and more stable. On their waists were a sheathed short sword. But the most important part is that they developed a core. Making them someone at basic.

They looked more like warriors, but they were not too different from before, only that they were slightly more muscular and their eyes were sharper. They looked like they have been in a battle or ten. It was hard to tell.

"Go, bring all of the corpses to the center. I shall harvest the magic stones." He ordered his men. They quickly obeyed and started to drag the corpse to him. Although they would rather he not stick his hands into the corpse and take the magic stones out, and would rather they do it, they could not disobey him.

Author quickly started to harvest the magic stones from their bodies, when he was finished their corpse would turn into ash. After harvesting all of their magic stones, and seeing the size of the magic stone and checking the contents of each magic stone he could say with confidence that they would only get around fifty to seventy thousand valis, it was because the magic stone out above the dungeon are weaker and lower quality, the ones from the dungeon fetch a hundred valis each while out here they are only fifty to seventy.

"What a pain." He said, but even then, fifty thousand valis is quite a lot. It would be around the monthly profit a normal to slightly above average noble has.

And that was just pure profit, after the wages, trades, buying, and other stuff they need money for. So this money is quite small. Nobles normally only have large amount of money because it stacks up.

But he doesn't really have time right now. Because he knows that a few years after his brother becomes king, he would dispose of him to insure Author doesn't become a threat to him.

And with the powerful being backing them up, even a master tier being might not be able to stop them. The being backing them up… a god.
