Guardian Alphas

Both Gael and Adrian are alphas. Born at the same era and for the same goal. Nature wants them together but will one alpha bow to another? They will fight, love, cultivate and grow stronger together as they build a family but will they build this family together or apart? It is a story of resilience and love. We laugh as we cheer them on. It's a boy love story like never told before.

38. A Blessed One

After eating, we packed the paper plates (yes, we were environment conscious like that) and we laid down again. I all over sudden felt sleepy and this was not so like me. I'm strong and I don't just fall asleep anyhowly.

"Baby, where can we find the oracle? He just comes and disappears and we do not know where he lives," Adrian asked suddenly and I had the same thought.

"I don't know really. I once asked my dad and he said that the Oracle just appeared to them when my mom got pregnant and then disappeared. No one knows where he lives," I answered and we kept quiet. Looks like this is going to be an almost impossible feat. We all lay there each lost in their own thoughts.

"A small bird told me that someone was looking for me?" We were just lying there and I was about to doze off when we were started by a voice and we both stood up so fast that a normal eye wouldn't have seen how we did it and were on alert immediately.

That is when we realized that we knew that voice. It was the Oracle! I was so pissed off at him for disturbing our peaceful time that I almost flew at him. Wait! We were just agonizing on how we will find him. Here he is! Oh! My! Poop! (Sorry. I don't know how to cuss well. My dad would have cooked me for supper as I grew up if he ever caught me cussing. We aren't cannibals though. Ha! Ha! Ha! That's hilarious. Cooked me for supper... Ha! Ha! Ha! Sorry. Back to the issue at hand. But I know you love me as a story teller.)

"How did you know we were looking for you?" I asked puzzled at the turn of events.

"I'm never far away Alpha. All you have to do is send any animal you want and tell it to find me and I will be there. It's that simple," he said and I felt better that we had a way of contacting him.

"I hear you found a cave and there is a portal in it?" He said with a small smile. It was as if he was gloating at us because he seemed to know everything we were doing.

"Yes we did and there are writings and drawings in it and we can't seem to know the language," Adrian said this time.

"You should be able to read it Alpha. Your animal, the centaur, should know the language. He comes form that place," he addressed Adrian and we both looked at him waiting for him to continue.

"The place is called Aska and that's where all centaurs come from. They send centaurs every two hundred years to come and help us because we kinda have a symbiotic relationship with them and if our world was to end, then theirs will too. I was surprised that this time the gods sent us a Griffin. I don't know how it happened but maybe Aska might have the needed answers," he supplied.

"What do you mean?" I was the one who asked this time because Adrian's mouth was agog.

"What I mean is, that portal was left as a doorway for the both of you. You have to go there and their spiritual leader, a lady called Aida, will help you. She will help unlock all your gifts and become better. Just remember, you can't stay there for long. This world needs you," the Oracle continued. "And aren't you a blessed one Alpha. The gods must have favoured you greatly," he addressed me and before we could ask any more questions, he disappeared.

"Damn! Why does he have to come and go like that? Can't he stay for a while so that he can tell us more? And what does he mean you are blessed? in what way? Damn it!" Adrian said and he was clearly pissed off as much as I was.

"It's okay. Maybe he wants us to find out the rest from this Aida or, in Aska?" I consoled him because he seemed to be affected by all we had learnt because it all had everything to do with him. I didn't intend for it to come out as a question because I wanted to convince even myself but I couldn't. It was all so... so... Not believable, yes, unbelievable.

"Maybe you are right. We should leave as soon as we can," he said.

"But how? We have school and what will we tell our parents to keep them from worrying? We can't probably tell them, 'dads, mom, we are leaving for another dimension and we don't know when we will be back,' I said and Adrian looked at me smiling like an idiot.

"What?" I asked him because this wasn't the time for him to behave like that.

"That's the first time you have called my parents dad and mom," he said and went to kiss me but I pushed his head away.

"Stop that! Aren't they my parents too? Besides, you started calling my dad that and Beau little sis immediately we started dating. So what's the big deal?" I said trying to dismiss him but this diot was still smiling like a fool.

"You are impossible! You know that?" I gave up as I leaned in to kiss him. He held my head and deepened the kiss.

"I love you Gael. So damn much," he said when we drew away from each other and I smiled.

I love you too." (Awwwww! Sweeter than sugar)

"And what did he mean by I'm favoured by the gods? His smile looked creepy as he said that," I said as I came back to my senses.

"I also wonder. But maybe, like you said, we will find out once we go to Aska," Adrian said and I nodded.

I sat down because I didn't know what else to do then. I needed to analyze, sort and synthesize all the information the Oracle had dumped on us.

Adrian joined me and I lay on his arms and we were both looking up towards our golden sky. Then, out of the blue, our connectors rang at the same time. We picked up at the same time. We both listened without saying a word and before we could say anything the other sides hang up and we looked at each other. How in the universe?

"That's the dean of our institute. She told me that I could take as many days off as I wanted and that when I come back my instructors will go through everything I would have missed with me," Adrian said as he wore this unbelieving expression like it was all a dream.

"And that was my dean. He said the same thing. What's happening?" I asked and it was all surreal.

How did they know we needed time off?

Anyway, that was one concern out of the way. We will find out later how they found out.

My life has changed so much in the span of a few months that I feel like I'm living someone else's life.

But the good thing was that it was all good change and I'm not complaining.
