Before long, Keith had finished with all the notes on the map, gaining immense oversight of the city and the surrounding mountain range.
With all of them noted down, Keith gained the opportunity to form a territory, a place where he could control the influx of crime, develop it, and gain new opportunities.
To hold a territory, meant to control the crime within it, to create such a strong influence that other criminals would halt themselves before entering the territory, of course, it wasn't easy to build up something like that, it needed both businesses meant for the open as well as those behind closed doors… for example it wouldn't be strange for a construction sight to import various products, while a unmarked warehouse might come off a bit more dubious.
Either way, to form such a thing he needed wealth.. and manpower, people he could at least trust with his criminal side, one of which would be Malcom, if he accepted.
Keith was sure that Malcom wasn't going back to the lost, furthermore, he might chose to retire while he still could, but Keith was sure that he could convince him to work for him, as a way of repayment if not as a sign of comradery.
As he was mapping out the future location of some properties he was interested in, Keith received a call… from non other then Molly…
Sighing to himself, Keith answered the phone ready to hear what Molly wanted to say.
"Good morning Molly… No change of plans I hope?" Depending on the information she had, the plan to destroy the remaining evidence would remain the same or change… but a change meant more work that needed to be rushed.
["No rather a small adjustment… I will be leaving on a business trip later this afternoon, and wish for you to confirm the results in person."] Perhaps it was just a simple madder of wanting to close it off in person, to make sure that nothing was left to bite her later.
"You want me to confirm it in person?.." Keith didn't mind it to much, although he was surprised by the fact that Molly chose such a suboptimal way of finishing their cooperation.
["Yes, you can meet me inside Devin Weston's hanger… I presume you can make it of course."] Before Keith could answer to confirm her statement, she hung up..
"Well…" Keith looked at the clock hanging on the wall… mentally calculating the time he would need for everything to go as planned, while he simultaneously got a text on his phone…
He would need time to set up, just like any assassination.
Similarly, enough he needed to get there before the meeting to not have to search for them… in any case leaving as soon as possible was his best bet, which meant leaving now, as other plans were put on hold for the moment.
Getting down to the garage, Keith opened the back of one of the Black SUVs that he had placed there… both of them contained special items, suited for all types of jobs, from anything from assassination to… it was mostly assassinations…
But Keith was only looking for one thing… his heavy sniper rifle… why the heavy, because some rounds couldn't fit into a lighter model, as to make sure that no traces were left, Keith would use explosive round, small enough not to injure those outside the immediate range, but powerful enough to destroy any clue that could be gotten from the impact zone…
Checking the parts Keith confirmed that everything was operational, disassembling it to place it inside a case suitable to be outside… as Keith couldn't be seen holding a heavy rifle out in public near the place he would be shooting from.
The case he chose was a simple guitar case, something that wouldn't be to strange seeing as most of the aspiring artist in Los Santo's were carrying around their dreams on their back… so he would perfectly blend into the normal of the strange city.
Getting into his own car, Keith places the case in the passenger seat, driving of, heading towards Temple, a district in the north of the city, close to both his own cinema as well as the law firm.
Before long he had made it near the meeting point, now having the opportunity to get to the best advantage point.
The best location he could see was a nearby carpark, it had a good advantage point, while being mostly out of sight from the ground level.
Most car parks had some kind of security, meaning that his car could be recorded and linked to the crime scene, so Keith thought it would be better to drive some ways away, parking in an unrelated street before walking to the carpark.
Driving around for a while, Keith found a parking lot some way south, far enough for it not to be related.
Keith couldn't help but admit that he hated finding a parking spot anywhere in the north of the city, the more someone went south the less of a crowed was there… in Temple, he could either pay a unreasonable sum for his car to be parked on the side of the road, or search for a parking lot where he would need to walk minutes to arrive to his location.
Something that would have annoyed him more, if he didn't need to be secretive, and parking his car directly in the area would only lead to trouble in the future.
Climbing the stairs, Keith finally made it to the third floor, if he got any higher then he would need more time to get away, if he went any lower then he could easily be seen by the people walking on the sidewalk.
Checking his phone, Keith confirmed the time. The meeting would be in half an hour, Keith knew the lawyer, but not the client, meaning that he needed to pay attention to when she would arrive, the chance that they would be meeting outside was likely, as the weather was nice, and the terrace had more private area's then the crowded inside of the place.
Keith wasn't to sure if they would follow his predictions, but he could always get them while leaving. The use of explosive bullets was bigger than just more damage, the effect of the explosion could be used to destroy cars and destroy the terrain, both somewhat useful in combat… less so in the situation Keith found himself in now.
After waiting for his targets to arrive Keith noticed that the lawyer had arrived… he couldn't quite remember her name, but remembered her face and body…
She was brought in a white company car, driven most likely by one of her employees. Carrying with her a briefcase most likely holding her laptop, she could be seen walking to one of the edged of the terrace where a man was sitting quietly minding his own business.
Keith saw her greeting him, shaking hands before sitting down…
Their location was out in the open, perfect… opening the guitar case, Keith assembled his rifle, placing three explosive bullets inside… he would have just used an interne magazine, but explosive bullets were a hard find, either having to get a specialist to do it or creating them himself.. but for now three were enough.
Setting the stand on the corner of the railing, Keith aimed centre mass at the man… the laptop was already out in the open, and Keith suspected that the woman couldn't run as fast with her high heels as the man could.
With a deep breath Keith shot the bullet, destroying the mans upper torso with a explosion, showering the woman with his blood. Her reaction was to be expected, freezing up before screaming while trying to get away, but Keith only needed a short moment to his her in the back, destroying her spine and killing her in an instant, the laptop was the only target Keith needed to make sure was broken, and with a quick second the final explosion rung the street.
Everything happened within moments of each other, but the sound of the explosions caused people the run away in terror, some filming it on their phones as they hid behind threes and other obstacles, trying to get a the clip of their lives…
Keith on the other hand used the terror to pack his sniper, and run away with the crowd… he was somewhat behind them, as he first needed to get down to the ground, but he was quicker then some of the less fit people in the area…
Before long he succeeded in getting to his car, hearing sirens on the way, even seeing a ambulance riding past him. They were to late to do anything.
Keith was well on his way towards the airport, driving calmly through traffic as he had the time to spare, all the while listening to the radio for some decent songs from when he was born… He considered them to be classic, having listened to them while working for the mob outside clubs and bars, either protecting someone inside or waiting for someone he had to help disappear.
After a while Keith turned down the music as he made it to the gate agent, who stopped him, not letting him through immediately.
"Please state your business." He sounded annoyed, but more so bored, clearly disliking his job.
"I had a meeting inside Devin Weston's hanger." The guard sighed.
"Name?"
"Keith Ryker…" Keith smiled, trying not to let the bored man ruin his happy mood
"The hanger is to your left." With a buzz Keith was let through.
Turning the music back up inside of his car as he drove to the hanger, parking his car inside.
To his surprise a commercial plain was being tested inside, side-lining the personal jet to a corner of the hanger.
Getting out of the car, Keith checked his phone, seeing that he still had a small hour before Molly was destined to arrive.
He didn't know what she was doing, but didn't care to much about it… the only thing he needed to worry about was that their deals went through without any problems.
Keeping the radio on inside of his car while he waited, Keith spend his time idlily looking at the commercial airliner, that was being tested inside.
He didn't know much about planes, he was more of a car guy, but sometimes he liked to just watch them operate, it would be the same as watching a race, except the airliner didn't move.
Before long Keith took out his phone, looking at other things on the internet, looking at some cars that interested him.
Time flew by, but before long Keith noticed the radio stopping the music, and reporting on a major police chase, even hearing the sirens approaching as he started to listen.
Before he could get a good grasp of the situation, Keith saw molly fly by in her car, being followed by police cars and a white sportscar.
Looking at them chasing after each other while causing explosions caused Keith to worry if everything was going wrong in the end…
He had finished his part of the deal, but if Molly died now then he would be left without a reward.
Getting his sniper rifle out, Keith scoped in on the chase seeing cop cars flying left and right as they were destroyed by plains landing on the airstrip…
Keith doubted if the air control was even doing anything as they continued to let plains onto the runway while a car chase was happening out in the open.
Seeing the cars turn back towards the hanger Keith finally got a good view of the once chasing molly, Finding out that it was Michael.
Thinking for a second Keith decided not to shoot him, instead taking out his phone to call him.
Sadly he didn't pick up, likely preoccupied with the chase.
Thinking quick, Keith placed his rifle back into the car, and prepared the intercept them…
He was sure that he could stop them before either of them died.
The radio informed them that the chase had stopped on the side of the hanger, sprinting to that side before either of them could enter.
He could hear shouting coming from the halls as he quickly made his way there…
[CLEAR THE HANGER] a female robotic voice came from above, he had heard it before, it was being sounded every time they did a test, but this time it was halted as Keith was to close to the airplane.
"Please leave the area!" A employee wearing a reflective yellow jacked shouted at Keith, not starting the test while people were running around
Keith just ran past him, as he heard molly approaching.
Turning the corner, Keith almost ran into Molly… he could see her running while looking behind her, directly running into him as he caught her in his arms.
"AHh!" she screamed looking up at Keith before realising who he was.
"Save me!" she huddled up against him dropping the thing she held in her arms to the ground.
"I just want to talk!" Michael came around the corner shouting at molly to stop and talk it out.
"Michael." Michael noticed Keith holding Molly, but focussed his eyes on the tape-roll that lay at their feet.
Keith noticed his glance, hearing the sirens approach as he did so… giving the tape-roll a light kick, it glided over the ground, reaching Michael…
"You should leave if you don't want to get arrested." Keith could feel Molly shiver in the presence of Michael, not to mention the realisation of everything that had just happened.
"Yeh…" Michael looked a bit awkward, the situation had turned from a chase into him psychologically damaging a woman… something that no man should be proud of in any way. Before turning around and running back to the car he came in with.
Keith looked down towards Molly as he held her in his arms, all the while she slowly stopped quivering.
