The End of Flashback

Hearing her words, Qianye Ying'er looked at her with narrowed eyes.

'Those eyes. So, she suppressed her usual self to guard herself. Just like I was in the past when I lost my mother. Didn't think Xiao Yan would have this big effect on her.'

"Are you sure you want to be like this?" Qianye Ying'er asked Gu Xun'er as she looked into her eyes.

Seeing Qianye Ying'er looking at her with clear eyes, Gu Xun'er backed down. She hung her head and then said in a low voice, "Yes."

"Hmm! Then my condition is that you get adopted by me."

"Huh?" Gu Xun'er said as she looked at Qianye Ying'er looking at her with a smile. She couldn't comprehend her condition and wondered if she was joking.

"No, I am not joking. You lost the bet and now you will be adopted by me. You don't need to call me Adoptive Mother or Mother but just remember who I am now to you."

'I have told her the truth and now I have to take responsibility for my actions. Without knowing the truth about Xiao Yan, she was happy and after knowing the truth, I will make sure she is much happier. We can't allow her to leave for Gu Clan and she would need someone to take care of her emotionally.'

'In Xiao Clan, Xiao Yan could be considered as her pillar and now that the pillar is broken, a new and stronger pillar needs to be built. Just what was Gu Yuan thinking when he sent a four-year-old girl to an unknown place. I also need to make sure she wouldn't get dependent on anyone. After all, I will be leaving in 5 years. While Qianye Ying'er was thinking, Gu Xun'er was looking at her confused expression.

Hearing her, Qianye Ying'er smiled and put her on her lap, and sat down on the bed. She then looked to the side and saw Fang Yuan appearing.

"So that's how it is. Just make sure that you won't project your desires on her. It would be bad if she fell suffocation in living here."

"Of course, I won't of that. Between us, I am sure I have much more experience on how it feels to only follow others' decisions and not decide anything on my own."

Fang Yuan nodded at her and sat down. He then looked at Gu Xun'er and sighed.

"Here. Have your token back. With you now being her adoptive daughter, I don't think you would inform Gu Clan. Make sure to report timely or I am sure Gu Yuan would come to Wu Tan City. If he didn't find you, then people in Wu Tan City would suffer. Just like the saying, if a Saint is Angry or cries, whatever it was, then millions suffer."

Gu Xun'er heard him and nodded. She didn't think that he would give her the jade token early. What if she betrayed them by calling her father or something.

Fang Yuan looked at her shocked expression and chuckled.

"Hehe! You must be shocked that I gave this to you. Don't worry, even if you betray us, nothing will happen to us. Gu Yuan and others won't be able to do anything to me and her. As long as no one above Dou God comes here, I am invincible."

Fang Yuan said with a smile that sent chills to Gu Xun'er. He had already served the whole world and after fighting the likes of Esdeath and Ninjas, whose instincts save their life, he could feel that they were no threat to them.

Let's not talk about the things he could create, he still had Tailed Beasts who have chakra more than Ten tails.

"Hey Ying'er, should I release the Bijuus here? They can go and conquer all the Beast tribes. Then it would be easier to Kill all of the Hall of Souls members."

"Kurama and others. Hmm! It would be a good choice. But wait for a month, we have all the time. Let's finish the mission in two years and then we could go to Upper Worlds."

Fang Yuan said as he closed his eyes while lying on her lap. Seeing him, Qianye Ying'er chuckled as he was more open to her than before.

'It seems he plans to make use of these five years. I wonder what are his plans. Well, the first fish is caught. Now Xun'er wouldn't leave no matter what. After all, what she had heard now is too shocking.'

While Qianye Ying'er and Fang Yuan were busy in their world, Gu Xun'er was paying intention to their words.

'Kurama and others. Who are they? Are they powerful enough to conquer all the Tribe Beasts? As for the Hall of Souls, I don't think I have heard about them. Even Father didn't say anything about this. It seems I will have to stay here to know about these things. Yeah, this would be my reason.'

Gu Xun'er thought while convincing herself that her reason to stay was because of the condition and she wanted to know more about them. Even if that was the reason, it would change later when she had least expected to.
