Chapter 43- Send more spies into their castle

Thorn's hand propped his chin as his gaze flicked to the empty seat. 'Did she give up on working? Where is she? What's she doing right now?' his mind was filled with questions - all about the queen.

He sighed, bored of being stuck here every day, going through endless stacks of paper and calculations.

Lost in his musings, he was startled by the sudden glow of his earring.

''Your Highness, I have gathered information on the queen," A respectful voice said from the other end.

''Speak,'' Thorn ordered, straightening up in his seat in interest. He held an ink blush, ready to jot down things he would use later.

''From my findings, the queen has gloomy behaviour. Scared of her shadows after the late queen's death. She's heavily controlled by her relatives….''

Thorn's initial happiness died in the cradle, the current queen and the queen his subordinate was talking about were two entirely different people.
