CHAPTER 1: BEGINNING

"Sir…please only one penny….." A small boy of age around 10 can be seen begging for money. From the looks of the boy the boy seems hail from a good family but the reality was different. He was wearing tattered and dirty clothes and face was also covered in dirt and nose-snot!

"Fck! Go away ! Don't dirty my clothes"

Thwak!

A man who seems to be in his twenties sneered at the boy who was begging for money from him and kicked him.

"Aah!" Boy groaned in pain he felt from the kick and fell sideways and hit his head to the sideway rocks.

"Hey dude! What are you doing? Boy are you okay?" A burly man came running forward and started yelling at the person who kicked the boy and moved to boy's side to check his condition.

Blood can be seen coming out of the boy's head , mostly a scratch from the friction by the rocks.

Suddenly, people started surrounding the boy and the man who hit him.

"What's happening here?"

"How cruel! How can he hit a small boy?"

"These white collar guys think they are some kind of big shot and do anything they please!"

"Hey you bastard! Are you even human!"

The man who kicked the boy looked at the people around him and said, "Then what do you expect me to do? Do you see this pant? I just bought it for 150$! And that boy stained it! Now how can I go to my job like this?"

"This…"

People exclaimed in shock by listening the price of the clothing and some even step backwards.

"Young man! That doesn't mean you can behave like this. Although the boy made the mistake but it wasn't to the point where you have to use violence. Now tell me did this pant of yours came with saying that it can't be washed and can only be used once?" An old man came forward and looked in the young man's eyes and asked.

"Yes..it can be.." Young man stuttered and replied.

"Then why make the fuss about it? You could've just said no and gone your way!" Old man calmly said.

Without waiting he further, "Since you made the mistake shouldn't you at least try to correct your mistakes? You can at least just check on the boy and take him to the clinic. "

"I-I…." Young man was lost for words as what old man said made sense .

He hurriedly searched his pocket and took out 20$ and went towards the boy and looked at the man who first shouted at him and said, "Umm..boss.. Can you take the boy to hospital in my stead? I have an urgent meeting with my client and I can't miss this out! So, please !"

He crouched and looked at the man.

The burly man didn't pursue the matter and nodded his head and said," Sigh! Okay! Just don't do this kind of act ever again especially with people who can't fight you back because that's why bully is."

Young man nodded his head and said," I will ! And take this," He held the burly man's hand and gave him 20$ bill.

And then he stood from there and left the area.

Soon people started to dissipate only old man and burly man left at the scene.

"You should take him to the clinic" Old man said to burly man.

"Yeah and thank you earlier! And By any chance do you know this kid?" Burly thanked and asked out of curiosity.

Old shook his head and said," I don't, I regularly come here and see this begging people . I just wonders who would be cruel enough to abandon a small child like him."

Burly man slightly looked at the small boys face and nodded.

"Anyways , quickly go and admit him to the clinic. And take this and give to the child when he wakes up." Old man said as he handed him over 10$ bill and left the area too.

Burly quickly stood from the spot and went towards the nearest clinic.

...…..

[ At clinic ]

"It's not a major injury, just a scratch " Doctor looked the boy lying on the stretcher and said.

"Then why he is unconscious?" Burly man said.

"Well it can be due to being malnutritional" Doctor said and used the stethoscope to check the boy.

"Maria, come here " Doctor called the nurse.

"Yes , doctor!"

"Have this boy glucose drip" Doctor said calmly.

Maria went over to the boy and injected a clean and antiseptic syringe to the boy's right arm and connected it with glucose drip.

"You can wait outside . He will wake up in few minutes" Doctor looked at burly man and said.

"Okay!" Burly man said and left the room.

"Next" Doctor called the next patient.

 .....

After few minutes,

"Hmm?" Arthur slowly opened his blurry eyes.

Arthur opened his eyes properly and looked around and saw that he was in a white room.

"Oh! You are awake? "

Arthur looked around to spot the voice's source and saw a lady who seems to be in her twenties and wearing nurse's dress.

She was Maria.

She came towards and checked the glucose drip level and nodded with a satisfaction and said, "Look like you are fine now! "

Arthur tilted his head and said ," Where am I?"

Maria looked at Arthur and said with a smile, "You are at the clinic, you hurt your head a while ago and a burly man brought you here. Should I call the man?"

Arthur who still seemed confused nodded his head and said, "Y-Yeah."

"Okay! Give me a minute!" Maria said as she left the room.

After exact two minutes maria came back along with a burly man.

"Boy! you seem fine now!" Burly man said.

"Who are you? And how did I end up here?" Arthur asked.

Burly man looked at Arthur's confused expression and explained all the things which happened.

"Oh!" Authur naturally replied.

"Thank you for bringing me here." Arthur bowed his head slightly and said.

"No problem. Here this is for you!" Burly man took out bills of 10$ and 20$ and handed over to Arthur.

Arthur hesitated first but upon burly man's continuous efforts he reluctantly took the money.

"Okay boy you rest here , I am leaving I am my business which I need to attend to." Burly man and left the room.

Arthur looked at money in his hands and started crying.

Maria who was standing nearby saw Arthur crying panicked and quickly came his side and said, " W-Why are you crying? What happened? Does it hurt somewhere?"

Arthur shook his head and said, "M-My sister ….she is very sick and lying….at home…."

Arthur looked towards and stretched his hand with the money and said, "Please take this and come with me and take a look at my sister…"

Maria looked at Arthur and said, "I can't guarantee but let me check with doctor will he allow or not."

With that saying she shot up from his side and left the room.

"Sigh…Where am I even?" Arthur expression took 360-turn from what it was before. The aura around him changed like a different person.

"How did I even end up here in the first place?" Arthur closed his eyes and tried to assess his memory but this memories were not of a child but of a child-bearer.

Arthur or Arthur Pendon was a man somewhere between age of thirty or thirty-five in 2024. He used to work as a travelling guide and translator for foreign travelers. He was very well versed in many languages approx. 10-15 languages which was an extraordinary feat in itself.

And how did he ended up in the body of a child?

"Shit! That madafkr…" Arthur eyes filled anger remembering how he lost his life.

It was a normal day he was working as a translator for the travelers and he was booked for a whole month but when the timed up and he asked the other party for payment, other party offered 100$ which was very well less or should I say was a fraction of what was promised. He and other party had an argument for around hours and other party after losing composure starting hitting .

He tried to fight back but the other party had a quite the physical health and quickly overpowered him and just like that he lost his conscious and when he opened his he eyes he was in the clinic bed and saw the nurse who was wearing quite old-style dress. He wanted quickly call out to her and ask what was going on but before he could even open his mouth the memories of the small boy flooded in his mind.

At first he was confused what was happening but after completely looking at the new fresh memories he got the idea that he has reincarnated not in the new world but in the same world but in the past , in 1970 America.

It almost took him few seconds to completely sort his thoughts and continue as the child Arthur for the time being.

And that's how he handled situation.

"That a$$hole of a insect-bit**….." Arthur was cursing the man again who was responsible for his current state.

"What-----...." Maria who came and heard Arthur cursing in the best way possible couldn't help but exclaim in great shock form the 'boy's' mouth.

Arthur looked at Maria's surprised expression and thought, 'Fck! ' He quickly composed himself and begin the act in the best way possible and said, "Miss! Did the doctor allowed?"

Maria who was stupefied by the boy's 3600-turun couldn't help shock even more and thought,' is this kind of prank act?' but shook her head and said, "Boy! Boy! You are quite cruel at cursing~ I wonder if the person is still even alive after such cursing…heheh….Anyways, Doctor said okay but I have to return quickly . So stand up we have to leave quickly."

Arthur somewhat embarrassed quickly stood from the bed and got ready to leave.
