Lucky Chojusen

Now that Chojusen was taking missions daily, his lifestyle became like Choza in that he would only be at home during the weekend. All his friends were like this as well, so they barely had any time to hang around. However, when they did meet each other during the weekend, they no longer had to train and could enjoy themselves to the fullest.

Throughout all this time, Chojusen kept going on dates with Karin; she was still the only one in his circle of friends that knew about his teleportation; well, Kimimaro and Haku also knew, but they were guys and probably wouldn't want to go on "dates" with Chojusen. One day, along one of his dates with Karin, an interesting development played out. Chojusen spent that day like he would for most of their dates.

They went to some random village, visited the interesting places there and Chojusen concluded the day by cooking something for Karin and himself to eat. While they ate, they engaged in cloud gazing until the sun started setting. However, unlike their normal dates, this time when Chojusen was packing up their things by putting them in his personal dimension, Karin called out to him "Chojusen, What do you think about me?"

"Huh? Well, I like you a lot."

"Oh? And how much is a lot, exactly?"

Chojusen didn't know why she was asking him this, so he just answered honestly. After the little kiss on the cheek by Ino, he had apparently developed a dense view of love with regards to others. He said "Mhmm… Like a sister?"

Karin looked like her world had shattered. She said "Is that really how you see me? After all we've been through together and after all these dates across the world?" Tears started forming in her eyes.

Chojusen was starting to understand, he said "Wait, you're interested in me? Like romantically?"

Karin didn't say anything. But looking at her body language and how she was behaving, it was obvious that the answer was yes.

After Chojusen understood what position he was in, he became conflicted. He never thought that Karin would come on to him this way. He only thought that she saw him like a sibling; like he did for her. Chojusen had already started seeing Ino as a romantic partner, and while neither of them confirmed it with words, they had already been treating each other as boyfriend and girlfriend.

Now that Karin confessed to him, he didn't know how to respond. It's not like he couldn't see her as his partner; he had been treating her to dates for years now. Would she hate him for saying that he was already with Ino? Chojusen was just a novice at love so he replied with honesty. He said "Karin, I'm flattered that you like me that way. But I'm already seeing Ino."

"What? For how long?"

"For the last three months..."

Now Karin was mad, with tears still in her eyes, she said "So you're telling me that you've been taking me out on these dates while you were seeing Ino?"

"I thought you saw me as a brother. You are the only person I can take on these trips..."

As Chojusen thought back to her comment, he realized that subconsciously he really did like her more than just a sister. He said "I… I like both of you ok? It's just embarrassing to say out loud."

"You like both of us? Are you only saying that to please me, now that I'm crying? Is that it?"

"No!! I wouldn't do something like that! It's like you said, I've been taking you out on these dates even after Ino and I became a couple. If I truly only saw you as a sister, I would have stopped as soon as we started dating to not give anyone the wrong impression."

Chojusen and Karin had been stuck together for more than half a decade; even before they were in their adolescents. Chojusen did develop feeling for Karin during this time, but they were hidden away by his subconscious for conflicting with his view about her being like a sister.

Chojusen wanted Karin to stop crying so he hugged her. With her now in his arms, she became completely still, startling Chojusen. Chojusen looked down and was assaulted by her mouth; She went in for the kill with no path of retreat. Chojusen thought that Ino was aggressive with her quick peck on the cheek. However now that he saw Karin's way of expressing her "interest" in him he was blown away.

The two of them had a long and awkward kiss; but it was passionate nonetheless. Even with all Chojusen stats saying that he was a Demi-Immortal level powerhouse, this kiss left him powerless and he couldn't do anything to resist it. It was only when Karin felt she had enough that Chojusen was allowed to separate from her; though, at that point he didn't want to.

Chojusen teleported back with Karin and after walking her back to her house, he walked to Ino's house. Now that Karin was also his romantic partner it would be wrong to not tell Ino. Chojusen didn't really feel bad about being in a relationship with Ino and Karin at the same time as he had grown up in the ninja world. In a world where people fought and killed day in and day out, polygamy wasn't exactly looked at as unethical.

Chojusen was greeted by Ino's mom at the door, she was a bit surprised to see Chojusen at this late hour. However, she already knew that he was her daughter's boyfriend, so she invited him and called Ino from her room. Chojusen declined entering Ino's house and waited for Ino to come see him at the door. When she finally got there, he told her that he had something he would like to tell her in private.

Ino's parents let her leave the house after knowing that she would be with Chojusen. Chojusen brought her to an isolate little corner where no one would hear them and told Ino about his relationship with Karin. Ino wasn't too surprised since she knew a bit more about his relationship with Karin than most his other friends; she remembered that when they were first allowed to train together, Chojusen brought Karin with her.

Ino was glad that Chojusen told her in a straightforward manner instead of trying to hide it behind her back and act like a monogamous saint. She would much rather be told like this than have to find out later through a mistake. She said "It's fine if its just us ok? Just don't start collecting girlfriends."

Chojusen started sweating even more than when he was being tortured by Danzo and quickly said "Yes, yes. I'm not a playboy..."

While Chojusen had told her about her relationship with Karin, he also let it slip that Karin had taken his first mouth to mouth kiss. So when they were finishing their conversation, as Chojusen was preparing to take her back to her house, Ino planted her first real kiss on him. Chojusen was caught off guard yet again.

He took her back to her house and returned to his house. When he did his night time training, his day became even better. Since he received the Eight Gates technique, he had been trying to finish permanently opening the gates, but the last two gates were incredibly hard to completely adapt to.

For the first six gates, he didn't have that much do deal with aside from the pain. However, for the seventh gate, the Gate of Wonder, Chojusen had to open a chakra point in his stomach that made his blood pressure even higher. The pain he received when leaving the gate for the first time made him fear entering it again, but the benefits to his power and speed outweighed his fear of the pain.

He could only open the seventh gate for a couple seconds before his body gave out and he had to rest before attempting another round. The reason this occurred was not because his body was not strong enough; he was way stronger than Guy, and Guy could stay in the seventh gate for a longer period of time than Chojusen (when he started out). Rather, his body wasn't mature enough to attempt opening the gate yet.

Chojusen found this out when he was training to permanently have all the gates open. His body became taller and more developed as his training progressed. It took Chojusen two weeks to develop his body enough to permanently open the seventh gate and when he finished, his true body looked like a sixteen-year-old. He would have taken far less time if he spent every waking moment training, but now that he was a Genin, he had to complete missions every week day.

The final gate, the Gate of Death, took even longer to permanently open. Chojusen could remember the first time he opened it, he almost died. Not from piercing his heart to open the chakra point, but from the insane effects the gate had on his blood vessels. It took him a whole month to adapt to having that gate permanently opened.

And now today, Chojusen finally opened a new gate outside of the eight that Guy told him about. After a whole three months of training he finally opened what he called the Gate of Awakening. This new gate was found at the cost of all Chojusen's remaining shop points. It was located in what the system called a Dantian, but Chojusen just called it his energy source.

Once this final gate was permanently opened, Chojusen's entire body was now able to handle all the energy from his energy reserves. Chojusen called for his Status.
