Three days later , Gin received a message from Narumi that she and Taiga got assigned as reinforcements for the battlefield with Iwa. Gin's mood was not good after hearing this because he thought that Narumi and Taiga were too weak and the war's intensity was gradually increasing too . He just soothed his mind after remembering Tsunade's beautiful figure and the thought that she would definitely protect both of them whenever she can.

Gin got the news from Kotaro that Jiraya and Minato were also returning to the base in few days. Jiraya naturally had to be notified about the large scale pincer attack plan of Suna.

Gin was also little interested in seeing the growth Minato had in the period of time , they did not meet . He also remembered about Rasengan jutsu and the fact that he had also Mastered Odama Rasengan too long ago but never used either of them till now. He simply did not face such a situation when he nerfed to use them .

Gin's strength was also gradually increasing because he now lived all the time except sleeping, while increasing his body weight to ten times normal. Till now he had not faced from any internal injuries but they can be easily cured using his medical chakra so he was not worried about them at all .

His subordinates were also in the same situation just their body weight was different. Dai's weight was increased to five times normal and he trained like usual in that state. Gin was extremely surprised because his body got adapted to the abnormal weight in just two days of time.

Hiro and Kiba were currently limited to two times their normal weight because their bodies will take a long time to reach the strength and stamina of Dai . Still the three of them progressed at a steady pace visibly now which satisfied Gin greatly. He had to use a lot of chakra to maintain the jutsu outside his body for longer periods of time after all . He had to thank his perfect earth affinity , perfect chakra control and completely mastered jutsu because his chakra was still not at the adequate level to use S rank jutsu casualy like this .

Gin wanted to master Rasenshuriken using his shadow clones too but the chakra amount was nowhere near enough for one clone to use the jutsu even two times before completely exhausting their chakra . It would take too much time so Gin decided to focus on creating new useful seals using his shadow clones . He had already created three new seal formulas inside his mind and ordered three clones to completely master one of them each. In just about a week of time the new seals would be completely mastered by Gin .

When Gin was roaming around the base while thinking about some useful jutsu he wanted to practice, an anbu came and told him that Sakumo had summoned him in his personal tent for a meeting .

Gin had free time anyway so he immediately started walking towards the tent as he guessed that he was finally going to receive the merit points for his previous mission and his extremely useful info .

" Greestings , Commander. What orders do you have for me ? "

" Like I said before, stop with this formal tone all the time as it feels uncomfortable from such a young kid's mouth like you ."

" Haha.. sorry for that Sakumo san . I will try to change it from now on . "

" Hmm.. That's good . Now then I'm sure you have already guessed that I have called you to assign you your merit points personally . It's a norm to do such things personally as a commander when a subordinate , contributes a lot . Ahem.. kid , you are to recurve merit points equal to 2 S rank missions . You dont have to guess as it's all thanks to your info. Your subordinates from the squad will receive 2 A rank merit points each. " Sakumo told with a proud tone because he was really impressed and proud of such a capable youth of Konoha .

Gin was not much surprised this time as he had expected even more merit points than this . Well it was wishful thinking and he knew it too . This distribution must have been influenced by Hokage personally as there is no other way , a chunin like Gin would receive even one S rank equal merit points . The authorities would say that he is young and whatnot to try to reduce the reward as much as they can . This proves that Hokage had great trust in Gin's loyalty to Konoha and his potential . Well Hokage just made a future investment into Gin which showed his expectations from Gin.

" You dont look much surprised. Oh well , Kudo Gin , you are hereby directly promoted to the rank of Tokubetsu Jonin by my approval under the emergency rules of warring time . Just go to the nission counter and receive your merits and new uniform . You are dismissed. " Sakumo really did not like to talk much as he swiftly finished talking today too.

Gin was delighted with the promotion simply because he was in a small commanding position now and would receive a small personal tent too . Now not just his own squad, Gin could be assigned some subordinates directly by the commanders for particular missions . He was not much interested in this fact though because he preferred to work alone honestly. He endured Dai , Hiro and Kiba because they did not have much cold personality like usual ninja and were fun to tease sometimes ..

Gin immediately started walking towards the mission counter in good mood as he also remembered now that he also had millions of ryo which were obtained from submitting enemy corpses . He had totally neglected this fact before as he did not have anything particular which he wanted to buy except food . Naturally there were not restaurants inside the base which served delicious food so Gin decided to enjoy some when he passes through some kind of city or town during future missions . The civilian towns under the small hidden villages like Grass and Frost must be lively as they had nothing to do with the war after all . Amegakure was just unlucky because it was located between Rock and Konoha ..
