Reinforcing Reverence

There was no emotion on Julongs' face as he looked up toward Zhun Lao. There was only a small gold hue in his eyes.

Zhun Lao couldn't help but laugh at what he thought was Julongs' way of showing complete and utter despair.

"This is how it feels, remember it well. I want it to be the very last thing you feel before I kill you!"

A large palm of Genesis Qi, ready to strike both himself and Daiyu appeared behind Zhun Lao. He was about to send it toward the two but was interrupted when a gold glow overtook Julongs' body, something only known to happen when a perfect breakthrough was achieved.

Shockingly, Julongs' spirit was providing him with the refined Qi he needed for his body to perform a perfect breakthrough, at the expense of needing to refine more Ancestral Dragon Will.

The glow slowly took shape and formed a beam of light, made from the purest Genesis Qi one had ever seen. Zhun Lao had never seen anything like what he was seeing. Julong was obviously breaking through into the Heavens Gate Realm, but his pillar was anything but normal. It looked like something that didn't belong to the mortal world, and in addition it had already long past the 400 ft mark, making it the tallest pillar ever seen from a Heavens Gate Practitioner.

Zhun Lao knew he had to stop him, or it could mean the end of his plans, but he also acknowledged that there was simply no way for him to do so. The Qi that was protecting his body was far more powerful than anything he could compete with.

It immediately passed through the dome of Genesis Qi he had put up, breaking it, and now alerting anyone within a visible distance, but more importantly, alerting Zi Xiao herself.

"Julong..."

The pillar didn't stop and eventually hit 700 ft before it slowed down, finally finishing at a peak of 734 ft.

When the pillar finally dissipated, Zhun Lao was in a state of awe. He couldn't compare at all to Julong when he achieved his breakthrough into the Heavens Gate Realm, his pillar had only reached 200 ft. It only served to make him even angrier. Not only because it meant that his Grade 6 Genesis Qi wasn't a fluke, and he was just that much more talented than him, but also because he was now destined to die, since he could no longer hide his aura from Zi Xiao who was undoubtedly watching them now.

"You... You've ruined everything!"

Zhun Lao sent the palm strike that was behind him barrelling toward Julong. It was so fast, not even Zi Xiao could intervene in the time it took for her to finally understand what was going on.

It overtook Julong and Daiyu, but surprisingly, it didn't hurt. In a large explosion, it appeared that another force had interfered, one at the same level of a Double Lotus Saint, one which wasn't his master, nor his uncle Wan Zu.

Before anything else could be concluded he was sucked out from the domain he was in and was forcefully torn through the dimensional fabric until he was face to face with an old man. None other than Double Lotus Saint that he had only seen paintings of. The one who had been missing for years. Cang Yuan.

Zhun Lao couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Daiyu laying where Julong had put her moments earlier. How was it that Julong had disappeared but not her? He didn't have much time to ponder, however, as he felt the pure and absolute crushing force of Zi Xiao unload unto his body. Zhun Lao felt like just the pressure from the aura she was exuding from above him was enough to crush him into nothing.

A shrewd and demonic voice ruptured space around the whole region. The skies turned dark and visible tears throughout the sky opened.

"You dare, to touch my disciple, Zhun Lao?!"

Nothing like what anyone was seeing was even imaginable for anyone but another Saint, the true power of Supreme Sovereigns was information only known to themselves and extremely secretive. Nothing like this had ever happened before and was sure to be recorded in history books purely because of the sheer dominance of power, not even what caused it.

Zhun Lao didn't answer, he simply couldn't, the pressure on him was too much. All he could do was move his eyes to look up into the sky, where he saw a figure as grand as the exuberance of the night sky.

"You dared slay my Julong!?"

She was obviously not only seething with sheer rage but underneath also grieving like a mother would her child. From some of the conversations they had, had, it seemed as though she was taking on that role subconsciously to take the place of the mother he never had, just as he was becoming like the child she never had.

It didn't matter now though, as he was gone.

But these words also seemed to have a follow-up effect from another Saint, who had just begun watching the display of power that could be felt across the nine regions.

Power surged from the Wanzu Region, creating another earthshaking rumbling of power. Wan Zu appeared to of just been made aware of the situation.

Words from thousands of kilometres away reverberated throughout the Primordial Heaven.

"Kill him!

"Kill the one who slew Wan Julong!"

Wan... Julong?

Zhun Lao seemed to only just realise what such words meant. Julong was a descendant of Wan Zu, and therefore had the backing of two Double Lotus Saint Experts.

For anyone who was watching over the skies, they could only pray for the one who had caused the catastrophe, even if what he did was unforgivable. The wrath of two Saints was something many would never want to even think about experiencing.

Bringing Mushin Daiyu to her side, a spear double the size of the forest the event had taken place in materialised above Zhun Lao. It was easily identifiable as a Spear of Divine Light. She brought out a barrier of Genesis Qi to control the ensuing explosion and made it shoot down toward Zhun Lao.

If left uncontrolled, it was even possible that such an attack could wipe out the entirety of the Zixiao Region multiple times over.

As it collapsed into the ground, everything evaporated instantly. Almost in slow motion, an explosion began to take place. From Hundreds of kilometres away, the explosion could be seen, and even looked as if it was right next to the point of impact. The explosion was simply that spectacularly large.

Bringing a crest to her fingers, she slightly rotated her hand, breaking her barrier and restoring the damaged area to what it was before. Only this time, Zhun Lao was nowhere to be seen. He was dead without any doubt in anyone's mind.

There was only one other person who Zi Xiao could think of throughout the ordeal. She had felt it as soon as the sky was pierced by the 734 ft pillar of Genesis Qi. Mushin Yuan was also dead.
