Gylden

It? He? Yeah he stares at me for a bit before saying, "what do you want?" I lower him back to the ground and say "Nothing I just want to help you I can imagine its not fun in here".

"Ok but what do I get out of this?" It asks more docile realizing it cant do anything against me, "Nothing really, you get to leave here you just have to stay with me and help me with the supernatural that can kill me of course you can refuse and I will leave you alone".

It seems to think over it for bit before responding reluctantly, "Fine" I smile and say "So do you have a form that won't send people running at the sight of you?"

"Rude" he says before turning into mostly gold wolf pup with some red on its stomach, "Gold?" I ask and it just jumps onto my head before responding "its the only thing I have seen that seems remotely normal and plus I don't know what actual color these are'.

I shrug and start walking back out of the bunker, "So do you have a name? Mine is Dipper" I ask It responds with its eyes still closed "No" I think for a bit before asking "What about Gylden? It means golden in Norwegian and you are more gold then red".

"I like that" It says while wagging its tail and I respond, "Good I'll just call you Gyl, ok Gyl?" It's tail stops moving and says, "Don't or I will pull your hair out" I smile and say "Ok Gyl".

It growls but just closes it's eyes again, but I don't miss its tail wag again I smile and finish climbing the steps leading out the bunker. Since I am near the Mystery Shack I decide to walk instead.

I arrive back at the shack, head inside and spot Mabel and her new friends sitting in the living room watching tv, I attempt to walk past planning to go upstairs, "Hello Grenda and Candy and what sup Mabel" I say not bothering to hide Gyl, Candy looks at my direction to respond before gasping.

Mabel and Grenda both look my way as well and they eyes widen in surprise, Mabel stands up and before I could react snatches Gyl from my head followed but Grenda and Candy. "Where did you get it!" Mabel shouts while hugging the life out of him.

"Found him" I say and watch in amusement, Gyl starts struggling before shouting "Get away from me human female! Help me Dipper!" Mabel and friends gasp yet again before hugging it tighter. I decide to help and scoop Gyl from Mabel's hands before putting him on my head.

"His name is Gylden and I found him in a lab" I say before leaving the shocked girls downstairs, I close the door behind me and lock it preventing them from barging in here and sit down on my bed, I unshrink the Journal and decide to let Gyl read through it with me purposely getting rid of my only leverage against it.

"Are all humans like that?" Gyl asks pretending he isn't shocked by my trust in him or just my stupidity, "Maybe" I respond and he shudders, as I flip through the pages of the journal I feel Gyl changing to the forms of the creatures on the page just smaller.

After I finish going through the whole book I head back downstairs and eat Dinner, Stan did ask what he was and I just told him what I did Mabel which is technically the truth.

I walk back upstairs with Mabel constantly bothering me about where exactly I found Gyl, "I told you it was a lab in the forest" I tell her before Gyl follows it up with "He is telling the truth so stop trying to grab me".

"Why can it talk" She asks completely ignoring Gyl's statement, "Well it is a shapeshifter I found in a lab so I don't know".

She raspberries before saying, "Shapeshifter?" I don't respond and just jump in bed with Gyl curling up , "Wait you're serious?" asks before also getting in her bed.

"Yup now goodnight Mabel and Gyl" I say and follow it up with, "Also don't kill me Gyl I'm trusting you" I say and drift off to sleep

To my genuine surprise I actually wake up in the morning and feel Gyl wrapping around my arm, I slowly unwrap him and get ready for my day before returning to my room to fetch Gyl before he bursts through it and runs up my body followed by Mabel trying to grab him.

"Good morning" I say and turn around to head downstairs, "let me hold him!" I hear Mabel shout from upstairs.

"Good morning Gyl thanks for not killing me" I say before eating breakfast, "Morning" it responds curtly.

I am currently manning the cash register in the shack since I skipped out on this for the last 2 days while busy doing my own thing, that's one of the reasons the other is that Stan saw this as a perfect opportunity to use Gyl as a mascot.

"I could be out there looking for fairies but no, I have to sit here because I didn't do my job" I groan after handing some idiot a fake lock of sasquatch hair.

"I think that's on you" Gyl says while sitting on my head, "Shut up" I respond, and Gyl just responds the wolf equivalent of a smug smirk.

I grumble and just sit through my whole shift which is way more hectic then this shift is supposed to since Gyl is just a tourist magnet I guess.

After my shift ends its already late at night and decide to head out to search the creepiest places in gravity falls to look for some fairies.

I walk outside and start flying myself and Gyl really deep into the forest.
