CHAPTER 1: I’m a cat?

"Ugh…." I grunted in annoyance as I felt my head quake with headaches. I shut my eyes tightly as light invaded them harshly.

I back away slowly and felt that my back hit the barky texture of a tree. I opened my eyes and saw that my perspective changed quite differently.

I am now as small as a cat, like dude, "What the grass happened?" I-… what is going on? How did I become so small?

"And… what is this weird feeling on my back?" I turned around to see another limb. "Apparently, I have gained another appendage to my body, a cat tail."

I sighed as I stared at my hands… they're paws… cat paws. "What the grass?" No, no. This is not possible! "At least it shouldn't be… (sighs exasperatedly)"

I, a normal human just got turned into a cat. I don't even know what happened, all I remembered was that I went back home after buying some ramen, chocolate, milk, and coffee.

I was crossing the street and then anything else seemed blurry, I think I was hit by a… a fricking comet. I saw it falling, its tail was beautiful, and I was mesmerized.

It was too late until I realized it was falling towards me, I look at my paws again. "Was I reincarnated? As a CAT? Grass-damn. My stomach hurts… all I want to do right now is eat grass."

I approached the grass nearby and nibbled on them. I felt the nervousness in my body leave as I began to think less… panicky. Yeah, I guess that would fit it.

Using the power of my ears, I found a large stream nearby and I looked at my reflection. "I really am a cat…" I twitched my ears as I checked my claws.

'They look deadly… I mean, dude, I am a predatory animal after all things. (crash)'

I crashed my face into the water to see if I could find fish to eat. I found one, a small one, but it should be enough to appease my hunger for now.

Now, how do I catch it? Since it's fish, it would obviously be slippery. I think I should first, corner it, and then dive in to nibble on the fish! Nice plan, I think?

And so, I started to put my plan in motion. I first pushed a few big rocks around into the stream to cut off any escape from the fish and then put small rocks in the gaps.

I slowly scared the fish into the rock trap and as it entered the trap confused… *crash* …I jumped in the water as fast as I could and bit the fish.

As the fish was relatively small, my fangs stabbed deeply into it and killed it. And I have one thing to say for sure… it tastes so good to my tastebuds!

"Oh, my grass!" I swallowed the fish and spoke. "Is it because I'm a cat now? It tastes good– *Ding* –Nyaaaa!" I shouted as an abrupt sound invaded inside my mind.

I stare at the block of text in front of me in dumbfounded silence. "What's this? Level up? Skills? Am I in a game?" I asked myself as my view of the reality I am standing on right now, broke.

"Is this really the earth I know? But the flora is so familiar… Is this even earth? I… I don't know. But for now, I need to survive to find out whether this is another planet or not."

I again, stare at the black of text. "And this system like thingy might have a clue on how I do." I spoke. "And so, let's learn how this block of floating text works."

"Menu?" I asked the air. No response, apparently, it doesn't work that way.

"Statistics? (UYA)"

"Open? (close)"

"Hello? (bye)"

"Options? (none)"

"Status? (dead)"

I sigh in exasperation as I didn't even know what I was doing at this point. "Okay, one last try. Apparatus?" I spoke as another set of screens appeared in front of me.

"Woah…" I exclaimed in pleasant surprise as I searched around the new wall of text in front of me. I first dived into the skills and my eyes landed on the skill, Heaven's Voice.

{Heaven's Voice}, according to its description, enables me to have answers to my questions. A personal elgoog if you will. I'm eager to test it out!

"Um, {Heaven's Voice}?" I spoke. << Yes? >> A monotone feminine voice answered(?). "Ugh, how is one stat point in comparison?"

<< To answer your question, 1 stat point is equivalent of 1 average human capability. So, for example, if you have 5 stat points in sense, your ability to sense is 5 times that of a normal human. >>

"Woah(x2) … So that means I am as speedy as grass in the wind… That's amazing, to be honest with my opinion." I spoke as I stare at my stats.

I move around testing out my abilities and stats to the limit, and I found out that I could literally be as fast as the wind with my sprint skill!

[Sprint] enables you to triple your speed and make you go zoom! With my sense stat increasing my reaction speed, and my dexterity stats give me the needed skill, I was able to fully utilize my speed and go all parkour cat mode.

[Slash] skill is basically slashing at your opponent with your edged weapon, which in my case is my claws. I performed the skill on a nearby big, hard rock. The result was my claws digging a 1-inch-deep claw strike in it.

[Bite], well, it lets me bite with more force and power. A very simple yet deadly skill that lets me bite a fish in half.

[Jump], lets me jump higher. A handy skill for evading AOE attacks from bosses in games. A really needed one. Paired with [Sprint], the two skills complete me as a parkour cat god. Me be tripping.

(A/n: Tripping means: moving easily and quickly; nimble. LOL)

Last, but not the least, {Dive}. {Dive} enables me to swim faster, negate water making my fur heavier, and makes me be able to breathe longer in water.

Next, the stats. My speed, sense, and dexterity are reasonable with me being a cat but my strength stat? How am I as strong as 6 humans while being a cat?

Also, mana? As in the mana used to fuel spells and other forms of magic? Oh, my grass. I have a lot of MPs, 15,850 is no joke. My sprint skill, which takes 1 MP every minute would take forever to drain my mana!

Ah, right. I forgot to ask. "Hey, Heaven's Voice. Is this world earth? Or is it a different world?" my voice sounded out… a bit sad. I miss my silent apartment, I miss my phone, I miss my vi- EHEM! I miss my bed…

"I guessed so…" I softly sighed but only a cute meow came out. I guess I really did reincarnate in a different world and not earth, goodbye, my normal life.

After that, I caught a few more fish and levelled up a few more times, as I felt my satiety turn full, I lay in the soft green grass thinking of multiple things.

I look up at a nearby tree and scaled it easily as I took a view of the sky, it began to darken as I decided to make the tree my temporary home, near the stream and away from the crawling bug on the ground.

I laid my head on my right front leg and stared at the sunset silently, darkness slowly covered the sky as I took a small blink and rested my mind, letting sleep take over.
