77 Where Is Your Loyalty?

Thursday 18th Apartment 5 - 7:00 am

Li Xiuying and Little 4th were happily having breakfast in the living room. They were both already showered and dressed. There was some anime playing in the background.

Little 4th: "Big Sister YingYing"

Li Xiuying: "Mmm."

Little 4th: "Big Sister YingYing. You know my brother isn't all bad. He's just annoying sometimes... all of the time." He decided to help his elder brother a little. What if his big sister started to dislike his eldest brother so much that she starts to avoid him too?

Li Xiuying quirked a brow at little 4th.

Little 4th smiled sheepishly and rapidly changed the subject: "Big sister YingYing what are you going to do today?"

Li Xiuying: "Work then shopping."

Little 4th pleaded: "Big Sister YingYing can I come shopping too? I promise I'll be good."

Li Xiuying looked at little 4th cute little face and didn't have the heart to say now. She used her gloved hand to pinch the little bun's plump white cheek.

LI Xiuying sent a text to Ren Daiyu: "Daiyu. Little 4th wants to accompany us. Opinion?"

Li Xiuying received an immediately reply: "Good Morning YingYing! Sure I don't mind the little bun coming but won't he get bored?"

Li Xiuying: "Leave from Unity?"

Ren Daiyu text: "Okay I'll pick you up at 4 from Unity hospital. Make sure you're fully energized and ready to shop until you drop!"

Li Xiuying put her phone in her pocket. "Shopping at 4."

Little 4th lifted both of his arms in the air: "YES!" He was excited that he could spend more time with his big sister.

Li Xiuying smiled at little 4th's antics. They continued happily eating and watching anime.

At 8:15 am Qin Jingfei awoke with a start as she felt her pillow vibrating.

She sloppily searched for her phone. She grasped her phone and cracked open her eyes lids. She immediately sat up as she saw the time.

She answered the video call and jumped out of bed at the same time. The faces of her annoyed daughter and husband appeared.

Qin Jingfei: "Morning honey. Morning baby. How's my RúRú today?"

Tan Qiànrú pointed and said: "Bad Mommy." She then ended the video chat.

Qin Jingfei looked at her phone screen confused. She couldn't understand why her Husband and daughter were angry with her. She had told them it was because of Qin song's forceful request that she had to stay over with little 4th.

Qin Jingfei looked at the time it was 8:19 am. She would have to figure out the reason why later. She grabbed her overnight bag and ran into the bathroom.

At 8:35 Qin Jingfei rushed into the hall way to find no one there. She put on her shoes and rushed out the front door.

She briskly walked to her car and drove to Unity Hospital.

Qin Jingfei had just parked her car when she received a phone call.

Qin Jingfei: "Hello."

Little 4th: "Cousin Jingfei why did you leave without us?"

Qin Jingfei: "I didn't leave without you! You both clearly left without me. I've just reached the hospital now. Where are you both?"

Little 4th: "Big Sister YingYing and I are still sitting on sofa."

Qin Jingfei: "What?!"

Little 4th smugly said: "Cousin Jingfei. Big sister YingYing starts work at 9:30 today. Did you have an early morning meeting? Is that why you ran out at the speed of lightning?"

Qin Jingfei heard Li Xiuying in the back ground "Light"

Little 4th corrected himself: "Ran out at the speed of light?"

Qin Jingfei: "..."

Qin Jingfei: "Couldn't you have told me that yesterday? Or you could have at least stopped me when I was in the hallway."

Little 4th: "You didn't ask. Cousin Jingfei your ability to run is quicker than your ability to fire questions." Little 4th was still bitter about last night.

Qin Jingfei: "..."

Little 4th: "Okay cousin Jingfei. Big Sister YingYing and I will be SLOWLY making our way to the hospital now. Bye bye."

Qin Jingfei glumly walked to the hospital entrance. Little 4th's words were like shots to her heart.

Qin Jingfei navigated through the hospital and to her office.

She entered her office walked straight to her desk and started to sit down.

Qin Jingfei jumped up when she abruptly heard her name being called.

"Jingfei".

Qin Jingfei put a hand on her chest and faced the direction of her voice: "Qin Song! What are you doing here?! You almost gave me a heart attack."

Qin Song was lounging on the sofa: "I was waiting for your arrival with little 4th. You're a little early aren't you? Its only 9, Dr. Li starts at 9:30 today. Do you have a meeting this morning?"

Qin Jingfei screamed in her mind 'Meeting your head! All you Qin brothers are the same! Your words are packed with gun powder.'

Qin Jingfei: "No. I just wanted to do some prep work before my meeting at 10. Dr. Li and Little 4th are making their way here... slowly."

Qin Song nodded.

Qin Jingfei: "Is there a particular reason you're waiting for little 4th here, in my office?"

Qin Song: "I have the morning off. I wanted to take little 4th out." He actually wanted to have an in depth talk with his youngest brother about family ties and loyalty. As well as the importance of helping family in times of need and the importance of keeping one's word.

Qin Jingfei looked doubtful: "Oooookkkaaayyyy." Qin Song hadn't actually answered her question.

Qin Jingfei shrugged her shoulders: "Do you want to go and grab a coffee and some breakfast?"

Qin Song rose from his seat and buttoned the jacket of his suit. Qin Jingfei and Qin Song made their way to the elevator.

Qin Song: "Your husband called me yesterday and was very angry that I asked you to accompany little 4th to stay at Dr. Li's house." Qin Song assumed it was Qin Jingfei and his father that had told Tan Zhiqiang that it was his idea.

Qin Jingfei anxiously asked: "What did you tell Zhiqiang?"

Qin Song: "I just told him that I didn't know anything about it until after your had picked up Dr. Li and Little 4th. And that father informed me later on that your practically threatened him to allow you to accompany little 4th."

Qin Jingfei: "Song! Why did you tell him that? Couldn't you have helped me out? What happened to family helping family? Where is your loyalty?" Now she knew why her husband and daughter were so upset with her.

Qin Song smirked at Qin Jingfei. "Maybe it can be found in the room I couldn't enter because of my arch-nemesis."

Qin Jingfei "..."
