Celina Dumont

Hazel was surprised to see a new challenge quest. Challenge quests only appeared at random cases, so he was lucky to encounter one. However, before he accepted it, he checked the content first.

[Name: Lucas's Worry

Description: Help Grandpa Lucas to convince his granddaughter to leave her club, or help his granddaughter to convince Grandpa Lucas.

Reward: increase Grandpa Lucas's affection by 20 points. 100 special points. Special rewards (depending on performance).]

[Do you want to accept the quest?]

Hazel didn't see anything wrong with the quest, so he accepted it.

Even though he was helping Lucas for his own benefits, Hazel was the type to do his commission thoroughly. He wouldn't do it jokingly.

Hazel immediately said farewell to Lucas and proceeded to seek Celina. This was studying time, and students normally were inside the classes, but sometimes, some students skipped regular classes too, and the academy did nothing to these people as long as they were willing to bear the responsibility of point deduction.

Of course, students could percent point deductions by performing tasks for the academy or bribing the academy, and some rich students did this.

Celina, ironically, was known as a bad senior. It didn't mean she was a bad person. This bad senior meant she was not an exemplary student. She was one of the people who liked to skip classes and neglect studying. Since she was from a rich family, she could bribe the academy to prevent her point deductions, and her grandfather was the headmaster anyway. No one practically dared to oppose her.

And Hazel looked for her to face her. Normally, he wouldn't dare, but he got permission from the headmaster, and power blinded people like it blinded him. Though in this case, power blinded him in a positive way.

Hazel didn't need to walk around the entire academy to find her. She was rather famous for being a member of Lightwing, a certain student gang that only accepted important people with high status, and these people gathered in the canteen every second. They always existed in the canteen every time.

As he arrived in the canteen, a group of people occupied several tables and stuck them together as usual. They were the Lightwing members. They chatted and laughed loudly without caring for the surroundings. Some of them casually brought trays of food from the canteen directly while ignoring the canteen workers. Although their behavior was like barbarians, no one scolded these rich people.

Among them, Celina sat on the edge of the table while listening to her friend's joke. She was a beautiful woman with silvery white hair and bright blue eyes. Her beauty stood up among the crowd, making the other girls look like toads.

Among the girls, Celina's body had the best curves. She had plump bosom, and she deliberately unbuttoned the upper half of her uniform, showing her cleavage. Her waistlines were thin, making a nice contrast compared to her wide hips. People called her one of the hottest girls because of the combination of her killer body and country-destroying face.

Hazel suddenly felt nervous when he saw her. He just remembered he rarely approached girls.

"How do I do this?" Hazel muttered out loud.

Hearing him, Mircalla sighed. "Where was your conviction a few seconds ago? Just approach her and ask for her time. It's not that difficult."

"What if she rejects me?"

"Just make up a reason so she can't refuse. Just say you want to relay something from her grandfather. Or rather, isn't that the reason we are here? It's not like you are going to confess to her."

"You are right. Let's do this." Hazel fought his hesitant feet and took a first step forward. The first step was heavy, and with the second step, the weight lessened. After the third step, he could walk confidently.

Before he realized it, Hazel stood before her and the crowd of seniors. He recognized some familiar faces who were in the charge of 'educating' juniors at the student orientation event.

Celina raised her brow and asked, "Who are you?"

Hazel curbed his nervousness inside his heart and put on a cool expression. "Senior Dumont?" he asked calmly, but she only looked at him as if he was a fly, so he continued. "The headmaster wants me to relay his message to you."

"Huh? Why would he relay a message to you? Grandpa could just come directly as usual," Celina said suspiciously.

One of her male friends laughed and mocked, "I bet he is trying to be alone with you."

One of her female friends giggled and said, "Why not follow him? You can add a body count of men you have rejected."

Celina sighed and said, "Okay, okay. Let's see what my junior is going to say." She got off the table and pulled him.

Hazel threw her wrist and looked at her coldly. Even if he was just a poor person, he refused to be bullied by rich people.

"Relax, I won't confess. Just don't disrespect me," Hazel said frankly, attracting seniors' attention.

While people looked at him coldly, Mircalla cheered at him. "Atta boy! Don't let her disrespect you! Don't worry, Hazel. If these people try to harm you, I still have my spare aura for you to defend yourself."

Celina frowned at him, but she changed her attitude towards him. She became less aggressive, even though she was still annoyed. "Then are you going to talk here?"

"Follow me."

Hazel led her past the back of the canteen and went further into an alley between buildings. He stopped in the middle of the narrow place and looked at her, who was full on her guard.

"Please don't worry. I led you here because the other seniors are annoying. I don't want people to disturb our conversation."

Celina snorted. "Heh, you dare to talk bad about your seniors."

"Of course. It's not like they feed me or anything. Frankly, I don't respect them. I won't have anything to do with you too if it wasn't for your grandpa's request."

Celina folded her arms and looked at him suspiciously. "Then what is grandpa trying to say?"

"When your grandpa chatted with me, he had a sad expression on his face. Don't you think your rebellious phase is too much? You have fun with strangers while your blood relative faces a difficult time because of you."

Celina pushed him to the wall and glared at him. "Who are you trying to say anything about my life?"

"I am Hazel, a poor commoner who happens to be a student here."

"Oh, so you are trying to lick my grandfather's arse? That makes sense."

"I do," Hazel admitted. "Isn't it nice to have a backing like your grandfather? I promised him to convince you to leave your club so I can get on his good side."

"You... How shameless can you be?"

"I am but a commoner, Dumont. I am living in constant fear of hunger. Ah, not complaining though. My point is I am grabbing every chance I can to change my life. I will do anything as long as it's not evil things."

Celina sighed. She looked like she was about to say something, but she sighed again. After a moment of silence, she opened her mouth and said, "Just go back to my grandpa. I won't leave my club."

"Can you tell me the reason?"

"Why should I tell you?"

"Look, senior. You have been rude toward me from the start. Even after I tell you about my intention to approach you, you are still rude. Can't we just have a civil conversation like adults? After all, I am just doing my job. At least, if you tell me your reason, I can try to convince your grandfather to stop asking you to leave your club."

"Won't that be not beneficial to you?"

"Yeah, but who cares? Like I said, I am trying to build a connection. If your reason is convincing and I can convince your grandfather, you will owe me."

"Pft." Celina pulled herself away from him and laughed heartily. "You sure are an interesting junior, aren't you?"

Celina wiped her tears and stopped laughing. After that, she said, "Alright. First, I apologize for my rude behavior. It was a self defense mechanism because I have encountered a lot of creepy men who craved my body. Can't let my guard down, can I?"

Hazel put on a dumbfounded expression. If she really wanted men to not act like creeps toward her, maybe she needed to maintain her appearance. Her outfit was too revealing for a girl who didn't want men to approach her. Her skirt was shorter than the average length, and she unbuttoned the upper part of her uniform, showing her smooth cleavage.

Of course, Hazel didn't comment on anything about it as it wasn't his business. He maintained indifferent composure on the surface.

"Junior, I will tell you my secret. I hate studying. Listening to teachers in class makes me sleep."

'You don't say,' Hazel commented in his heart. If she liked studying, she wouldn't skip classes.

"But of course, I know I need to think about my future, and I realize... I like practice. In the adventurer club, I can practice on the field. I am a good fighter, so this club is something like my preparation to become an adventurer!"
