Chapter 40 Animal Language Part 4

His anger was still felt and remained in his body. With the remaining strength, without having to cover his eyes with both hands. Lucas can lose his entire body, leaving the two confused.

On the other hand, Lisa was surprised and amazed by the great ability that Lucas had, the ability to disappear. Not with Culture and his captive animals roaring, hissing angrily at the loss of their prey before their eyes.

The dark magic beast didn't seem to be able to sense his presence as Lucas walked right in front of them. But he didn't have the energy anymore, he walked casually and the dark magic beast didn't feel his presence. The magic technique that made his entire body disappear, his disappearing power, had unknowingly risen to a higher level. But Lucas didn't notice it at all, and he just felt that he had really just disappeared.

His confusion wasn't a problem, but his most annoying problem was that old man. Although the old man had a great mana aura and a large and muscular body, he was not a combat wizard. He only relied on his ability to control and talk to dark magic beasts.

Lucas didn't want to make small talk anymore, he appeared behind him and grabbed Culture's neck with his hand. The old man couldn't lie, his face was flushed and shocked.

"I came here on good terms. If you do anything wrong, I won't hesitate to ask my grandfather to destroy your residence." His voice was cold and dark, his breathing was heavy, but he didn't let go of the aura of anger that enveloped his body.

Culture's face turned even redder, in a few seconds it could have exploded like a balloon. Being threatened by a fifteen year old teenager, an insult and the thought of someone throwing mud in his face. He clenched his fists so tightly his knuckles were almost white.

For the safety of himself and his beloved dark magic beast. Culture exhaled so heavily. "Okay, I give in. Are you satisfied?!"

Lucas fell to his knees on the ground, holding his numb wrist. He pulled up the sleeves of his uniform, revealing the pale purple skin of his hands. The basilisk's venom had kicked in. Lucas really couldn't move his left hand.

Seeing his younger brother looking helpless and injured. Lisa gritted her teeth. His spear was aimed right in front of Culture's eyes. "Heal him!"

Pressed from two sides, Culture had exhaled three times. He was irritated and angry, but there was nothing he could do. Lucas was just a lucky boy who was able to defeat the basilisk, a level 0 dark magic beast. Culture could use healing techniques to heal the basilisk's blind eyes.

First, he had to remove the poison from Lucas' body. His hand touched the wound on Lucas' shoulder, the soft white glow glowing like the light of a fluttering firefly. The poison in his body began to dissipate, flesh and skin cells seemed to regenerate. Re-embroidering damaged skin and replacing it with new skin. There are no scars at all.

Lucas moved his left wrist this way and that, swinging it up and down. He felt no pain and his wrist moved normally.

The old man had a healing technique that was probably at a high level, just like the healing wizards at the Illois Magic Academy. Even the basilisk that Lucas had blinded, the old man easily healed the dark magical beast back to normal.

Culture clapped his hands. Three servants, male and female, approached him. "Clean up this place. I want my beloved garden back the way it was before, nothing has been missed". The servants nodded their heads in unison, not wanting to upset the old man any more.

Without the use of technological tools, the servants used basic skills and magic techniques at the same time. Cleaning up the debris, repairing holes in the walls, and replacing damaged plants with new ones. It takes a very long time.

Lucas and Lisa followed Culture down the hallway of his large house. Lead them to a closed room. Like a special room for entertaining guests. There was a soft sofa, a table decorated with gemstones, a shelf with neatly arranged books, and one thing that caught his attention was a frame with a photo of a harmonious family sitting nicely on the nightstand.

The photo showed a man and woman with their son. Of the three people in the photo, Lucas recognized Culture, though the old man now looked different from the photo from his past. A feature that showed firm eyebrows and black eyes that looked shady. Beside the old man was a beautiful woman with wavy blonde hair that hung down to the base of her shoulders. Then the teenager inherited similar genetics to the woman, both with blond hair.

Lucas seemed to be familiar with the teenage boy, he didn't remember at all, or maybe he had met the teenage boy, but he forgot.

After the previous argument, Culture still had an unfriendly and annoying face in Lucas' eyes. They were invited to sit on the sofa provided, a female servant came in with a tray containing a cup of green tea.

Seeing the cup of green tea in front of his eyes, Lucas' mind diverged and became alert. It's possible that Culture still doesn't like him and wants to poison him.

"I know what I did before was very annoying. But I wouldn't poison you." Culture took the cup and drank the green tea without a trace. He showed them his empty cup.

Still, Lucas had to be careful, and Lisa didn't really mind after what had happened to them. Out of courtesy, the two drank the green tea and put the cups back on the table.

This time they looked serious and the information was much needed. Lisa started the conversation. "Your ability to talk to dark magic beasts. I want to know everything about the ability of a wizard who can speak and understand dark magic beasts, seeing that you can control your pet dark magic beast. Of course you know a lot."

Culture slammed his hand down on the table. "Huh, so you came here just to ask that question?"

"Are we here to play around?! Besides, you started it first and gave us trouble!" Lisa slammed her hand down on the table, making a loud noise.

The old man's face turned as red as a boiled crab. He cleared his throat, releasing the tension and awkwardness that had been building for several minutes.

"I... am just being cautious. Besides, I don't like people who have ties to government faction leaders." Culture rolled his eyes. "So you just want to know the speaking ability of dark magic beasts?"

"I said it before."

Culture didn't care about his interlocutor's grim face. He took a relaxed stance, not feeling any threat. "Not all wizards can understand animal language, even dark magical beasts. Let's start with the very annoying assumption that humans are creatures with the most perfect language skills. Hah, it's all just a stupid joke, because humans have brains and magical power. Like you, you look down on dark magic beasts," Culture said angrily, pointing at Lucas.
