The first tier
Even as they were walking, scores of maids and butlers were placing nordic trinkets and decorations all around the manor walls. Normal furniture was being replaced by darker, more expensive-looking furnishings of which most had strange inscriptions engraved into them. Arya had long since become literate in Baldori, and he was without a doubt certain that the language used on the decorations was foreign.
"Excuse me, what exactly is going on?" asked Leon as he passed by a maid that was replacing the torches with nordic style ones.
"Master Leon, welcome back to the manor. Pardon me for not being able to welcome you back with the others, however, some of us were tasked with decorating the manor in preparation for the Minister of Defense's arrival," replied the maid, bowing in respect before going on with her work.
"The Minister of Defence? Why is the Minister of Defense coming here?" whispered Leon, before walking down the hallway at an even faster pace than before.
