"Atlas Luce."
Atlas steps forward to the black line. He points his hand forward, aiming right at the clay golem. A blue light appears in his hand, as the humidity in the air around him starts freezing into little ice crystals. The ice crystals move towards his hand, leaving trails behind them. They all coalesce into a single thin spear of ice. The kids around him scoff a little, they had seen someone else create an ice spear much much bigger than the one Atlas had. Then, Atlas reaches back and flings his hand forward. A loud booming noise echoes out as the spear hits the clay doll in milliseconds. As it passes through, nothing notable happens. Causing the children to scoff even more. Then, the clay doll falls to the ground, shattering into thousands of small pieces.
Master Orion smiles widely as the doll falls.
Under his breath, he murmurs,
"He's mine."
All of the kids next to him look at him with fear, reverence, and envy. The girl who was standing next to him blushes as he stands back in line next to her.
The staff member responsible for calling them forward picks his jaw up off the ground,
"Ahem, Sir Luce, do you mind telling us your class?"
Before this ceremony, his parents had instructed him to stay silent regarding his class. As such, he did just that. He shook his head and said,
"No, sir."
The announcer nodded his head and moved on to the purple haired young lady beside him,
"Yuliana Veretasia."
The little girl steps forward with rosy cheeks as she performs her spell. With her purple hair, most assume that she is a necromancer and expect her to summon a skeletal dog. However, her eyes glow with a purple light as she starts casting. Electricity starts to emanate from her little hands. As she brings her hands together, a loud cracking noise explodes out from them. The electricity strikes the clay doll, burning it's outer surface to a char. As she finishes her spell, the doll falls over and the outer layer of clay ashes off.
Though not much damage had been done to the doll, her element had an incredibly difficulty dealing with earth elements. As soon as the golem falls, Master Orion's smile grows even wider,
"I may have to take two students at once!"
This time, he said that audibly. The other masters around him kind of flinch a little.
'Master Orion is thinking about taking TWO disciples?'
As the masters whispered, the announcer called the next person up,
"Blake…"
——————————
After the last kid had finished, the announcer turned towards the masters.
"Masters, pick who you wish to teach!"
As the masters started walking forward, audible gasps came from the audience.
"Orion is moving?"
"But he even ignored the crown prince at his ceremony!"
Atlas' parents were sitting happily, ready to burst into tears of joy as master Orion moved towards their son.
"Our boy is incredible."
Karina hugs Heath's arm.
"Indeed he is."
However, Orion didn't stop right in front of Atlas. He stood in the middle of Atlas and Yuliana.
"I wish to take both of you as students!"
Atlas and Yuli looked at him, then at each other. As their eyes meet, Yuli blushes slightly and quickly looks back at Master Orion. Atlas cocks his head in confusion and looks at Orion as well.
"Is that allowed?"
Atlas speaks up.
Orion laughs and puts a hand on Atlas' shoulder,
"Of course it is, I'm one of the few Arch-Mage's in the country! I doubt they'd wanna upset me!"
Atlas could guess that was right, as Master Orion was the only person who stood in front of both him and Yuli.
"Now, students, choose who you wish to take as your master."
Seeing as Orion is the only person standing in front of them, Atlas and Yuli just shrug their shoulders. And with that, the master selection ceremony ends.
Sorry for the short chapter, but the selection ceremony is short and boring. :/
