Sahuagin

Their feet sunk to the soft cold sand as they walked. The sun has risen to their eyes and its rays fell on the water. At first, they only saw sand and pebbles. Sophia looked down and small clams burrowed their way inside. To her further left, Valora saw a large heap; burned and charred. She looked around and saw similar heaps far and wide.

The girls looked ahead and saw a line of people facing the sea. They were armoured and ready; they were adventurers.

They stood behind the line. Valora called to the one in front; a gaunt man with a scar on his left eye. "What are we doing here?" She asked.

"They come during the low tide," the man did not turn back. His voice was grim.

Luna gulped down. She looked over the man and to the sea. Its milky foam kissed the shores and turned back. Birds flew high up the sea.

There were murmurs and shouts going around but as time passed, they died away. The sound of the sea and the birds were the only things that remained.
