Apathetic

It was just a normal night of solitude for the lobster who was staying within the academy.

It had been catching up on some late reading using the books and scrolls available to it.

It may have been by the side of Zeraf for a long time and remembered many things but it still needed to build a firm foundation in magic for itself.

It enjoyed its solitude and did not like being bothered by the humans so it usually only came out at night to study or had hidden away from the eyes of others.

To everyone else, the lobster was just an ordinary lobster that had been the pet of the formed student Zeref but it was just an innocent pet that could not be blamed for its masters faults.

Unfortunately not everyone thought the same and there were those that had lost loved ones to Zeref so they needed someone that they could blame.

The door in the main library had been pushed open and a man had stumbled through it.

He was dressed an a wizard style academic robe and he had messy dark hair that had some parts that had turned grey.

There was an open bottle in his hand and the contents of it filled less than half of the bottle, he had clumsily held onto it while his movements were disordered. "Hic."

He was very drunk and could not walk straight so he staggered around the room upon entering.

He suddenly stopped upon seeing a small lobster sitting on the desk, a frown appeared on his face. "It is still here huh.."

He grit his teeth together in anger then after an idea had came to his mind, he smarted to smile foolishly.

It was no grand plan that came to mind but was instead something that had come from his drunken mind which resulted in a simple plan of action that he acted upon.

He walked over towards the lobster and smiled gently. "You are here alone. How about I take you somewhere more suited for you."

The lobster did not respond or resist once the hands of the man had picked it up but there was disdain within its eyes the moment that the man got close.

The animosity in its eyes only increased the moment that it was picked up and was carried out of the library.

The man had carried it into another room further away before the door closed behind them leaving them both the only ones in the room.

The man sat the lobster aside as he continued to drink from his bottle then took out a metal pot.

Using a magic tool to create a flame underneath the metal pot, the water that had been added had started to slowly heat up so before it had been affected by the heat, the man hurried over to the lobster to throw it in before it was too hot.

If something was being cooked in a pot like a lobster then the usual procedure was to start with room temperatures water then heat it rather than placing the lobster into the already hot water to avoid the muscles of the lobster tightening up.

The drunk man was about to get his hands on the lobster but it had suddenly moved its body, the claw reached out towards the fingers of the man and had caught them between its claws. "Huh?"

The man was shocked by what happened next when the lobster had suddenly released a powerful amount of magic from its claws.

As the claw clamped down on his fingers, the fingers were snipped cleanly from his hand. "Vile human poser, you dare to cook this lobster?"

"Guaa! My fingers!"

The lobster looked on as the man had clutched his hand to stop the blood from escaping his body and to try to relieve the pain then it had been surrounded by magic once again.

It had transformed into a human shape that had some similarities to a lobster, he had black messy hair that had the fringe swept over to one side that almost hid one of his bright red eyes.

He was dressed in a similar robe as his previous master but the colours used were slightly different since they were a mix of black and red.

There was some parts that looked like armour like on his shoulder that had the characteristics of what his previous shell had looked like.

The overall style that he was dressed up in was a mix of his lobster characteristics transformed into a human form and a goth style of clothing that was similar to his previous master.

Near his wrist was a red gauntlet that looked like a lobster shell which had a red blade on the end of it that was shaped like a lobster claw. "Transformation magic really is useful."

There were some magical creatures that existed that could successfully use transformation magic to take on human forms and he was one of them but that was not the only magic he possessed.

Each of the gauntlets on his arm had been raised towards the man who was stuck in between his pain and his shock. "You..what?"

Magic power started to be gathered by the man in a panic, he may have been drunk and hurt but he was still a member of the academy that could utilise magic.

His spell was cut short once the lobster that had transformed had appeared in front of him.

The two blades came from both sides and closed in on the neck of the man before coming together.

A sharp magic had surrounded those blades which made them pass through the flesh with ease.

Once the blades had passed through cleanly, the body fell down to the ground and the head that was still attached to the neck had slowly slid apart from it.

The lobster had looked down on the dead body that lay at his feet and had an apathetic attitude about him. "I think that it is time to leave this place."
