59: Frostbane The Cursed blade who got cursed by love {part-1}

"Oh…my goddess…such close skinship with Void... the fresh smell of his odor... oh my goddess! I'm melting... ohh my... my... wait! Am I thinking out loud?" Vexia thought while in the barrier with the unicorn.

"Hello, miss," Void says, to which the unicorn responds, "Vexia Zakhorrow… myself… Zakhorrow…!" The unicorn, whose name is Vexia, seems to be embarrassed.

"How cute... Miss Vexia, I need your help... and that help is I'll need a ride on your back!" Void says, which embarrasses Vexia even more, but for a different reason. "A direct marriage proposal!! That's Mr. Void for you, he's just too bold…!" Vexia murmurs.

And that's when the blast takes place, revealing Lumi, whose eyes are lifeless and darkened. The Mana essence of Frostbane makes her look as if Frostbane has taken control over her. The madness is visible in Lumi's walk; she is clearly not in control this time.

"Mr. Void, let's go!!!" Vexia says, grabbing Void's collar from behind and starting to run.

"Miss Vexia, I don't like being pulled like this," Void says as she drags him along.

"I'm... sorry…!" Vexia releases Void's collar, placing her hand on her face, while Void wraps his hands around her waist, sliding using the same ice creation magic.

"Just how innocent is she?" Void thinks, tweaking his brow, but not for too long as Amanda reappears in the battle.

"Void! What are you doing?" Amanda is confused as she sees Void running, which is not the type of person Void usually is.

"What is happening here? I've never seen Void run like this. He tries to act peaceful, but even after seeing his strength, I didn't think he'd still run away…" Amanda thinks as she follows Void and Vexia, who are fleeing from Lumi.

"Miss Amanda Keenclaws! I, Sophie Centorino, shall face you with my pride in being Mr. Void's companion!" the centaur from before, whose name is Sophie, declares while coming from behind, her Bastard Sword swinging towards Amanda, trying to land a strike.

"Begone! You pathetic horse in heat, hiding and getting melted by the charm of a male!" Amanda says as she uses her claws to counterattack.

"Yes, I'm in heat, but it's my duty to make sure Mr. Void, blessed by Mother Nature, stays safe. Serving him is like serving Mother Nature herself! Just think about how strong the kids will be when he's so strong himself, ahhh…" Sophie blurts out, her hands on her cheeks, her face slightly red, her eyes closed, shaking her head as she speaks, her voice filled with wild delusion and overflowing devotion.

"Just wake up already, brat!!" Amanda growls, landing a punch right on Sophie's face, making her fall backward. Meanwhile, Void is running for his life.

"Wait, is that Void…? He's Void Middletown! Why is he running? Why is that unicorn letting him ride?" everyone on the cruise from Evergreen Elden Kingdom murmurs, watching Void riding on Vexia.

"Master! Why are you running away?" Lumi, possessed by Frostbane, says. Her voice is filled with madness, a wicked smile spreading across her face, her tone spreading terror as her attacks freeze everything in her path, while Void throws things like flower pots, tables, and other utensils at her.

"Are you so scared of me now? Wasn't I yours? Wasn't everything going to be fine… master?" Lumi's words help Void to think clearly.

"These…" He stops midway.

"Miss Vexia, thanks for helping me. You've helped me a lot, but now things will go overboard... and I don't want you to get hurt, so please—" As Void tries to finish his words and finally get serious, a new mess arrives—or more likely, a mess comes to remove Void from a mess and become a mess in his life.

Suddenly, Void blanks out for a moment, and as he wakes up, Lumi is near him, crying, filled with tears, while Vexia is in the same condition. But aside from that, the thing that makes Void feel weird is that the whole cruise is ruined, many of the students were cornered, and Void is declared 4th rank in the top 50 students on the board.

"What... the... happened...?" Void mutters, holding his head with one hand while holding Lumi with the other.

"I'm... extremely sorry... Void... I... I'm sorry! I was drawn to it... I didn't know things would go so overboard...! I... was scared!... alone! I lost my will..." Lumi says, crying, her words cracked, showing how much she was suffering as she was possessed by the mythical blade Frostbane.

"Can... can you please tell me what exactly happened here and what happened to you? Please don't cry, dear... I believe you won't betray me... and the one before was Frostbane using your emotions and feelings to break you and get more control over your body! I know at least you won't betray me for selfish desires, right?"

Lumi nods, wiping her tears. She tries to regain her composure and goes into a flashback...

"After you brought me back from jail, you... made me stay with you, and I was happy. We were having fun—Luna, me, and you were having a beautiful time... but one day after the mock battle, you went to handle some work, and left the Frostbane... and... I thought to bring that blade back to you... but that's when the blade took control and pulled me inside her...

"She started manipulating me, I wanted to come out... but I wasn't able to... day by day as I saw you interacting with people outside... the way you enjoyed it... it hurt me! My heart was breaking, and my will was shattering and... then she got a chance to get control over me... the day you threw me away..."

"Hmm... just how pathetic you are... at least I am the most terrifying blade that caused a bloodbath whenever I was called, and now I am in the hands of the most naive human in history..." Frostbane in her spirit form says.

She was just like Lumi, but matured and grown up with her hair down. The only difference was that she had glowing ice crystal eyes, glowing from the mana of Void. Her tone was cold, filled with zero interest, just pure disgust. She looks at Lumi and says,

"What are you trying to say, huh?" Lumi asks, her tone filled with anger and frustration.

"That you're just a pathetic creature created by the mana of a demoness to become my vessel, maybe because this way, you and I can serve the one who created you properly..." Frostbane reveals, stepping down slowly from her throne of her realm, walking closer towards Lumi.

"But the twist in your fate was that Void, my current master, gave you life... who knows whether he was just pitying you to save his people? After all, you've seen all this time how happy he was!" Frostbane says, locking her gaze on Lumi, enjoying how she was getting horrified and falling into an abyss of despair and hatred.

"But... why would Frostbane try manipulating you... and make you attack me when she was the one who chose me as her master after centuries?" Void asks, breaking the flashback.

"I... didn't want to lose you... but I was just a sword with life, which I got from the continuous sense of natural mana... and the way you took care of me... all these past centuries I was never given such warmth..." Frostbane says, taking control a little over Lumi's body, her eyes filled with tears, the glowing ice crystal eyes of Frostbane.

It was visible that Lumi's body was changing, growing, and getting replaced by Frostbane's as she continued...
