Void was about to strike Samuel, his Frostbane inches from Samuel's neck. Samuel's eyes held the answer to the question that had plagued him, the monster of Void reflected in them. Just when it seemed Samuel was about to lose his life in the battle, a faint whisper reached Void's ear.
"Switch!"
In the next instant, Samuel was gone, replaced by Cicely Hazelwood, the daughter of the most feared warrior, Astrid Hazelwood.
"Cicely!" Astrid exclaimed. "Void!"
But before you jump to conclusions and give this story a poor rating, let your Narrator step in. [Author,please..! insert a new narrator, please...i might lose my rating like this!!] To understand what just happened, let's rewind a bit and focus on Rubianna and Shuri.
"Rubianna, how shameless can you be? Going against His Highness and relying on a man for help... don't you have any pride?" Shuri growled, charging at Rubianna with a swift movement. As their blades clashed, sonic waves formed, their auras and powers colliding with the full force of their limits.
The walls of the dome shook with each clash. "I'm fighting to protect my love and the future of Allainette," Rubianna said, pushing Shuri back. "As for Void, he's an idiot—a feminine, naive, spoiled brat with no idea how a man should act!" Rubianna took a stance.
"But there's one thing clear..." Rubianna lowered her eyelids slightly. "He's a man of his word. He's far more protective and caring for his eight lovers. Even after being naive, he manages to make all his fiancées happy, cherished, and loved equally, which most women in our world can't!"
Rubianna summoned the undead of previous golden-ranked knights. "And that's what's impressive. He's not on the level of His Highness, nor does he possess a great amount of mana to have risen so far in ranks at such a young age. It's his firm motivation to make his people cherished and adored..." Rubianna prepared for close combat, while Shuri, looking down, felt nerves form all over her face.
"And the reason he's fighting is to show the world that a man can take a stand too, and stand on equal footing with the women of our world. He's fighting to avenge his sister, to give justice to Her Highness, and to support a helpless girl like me! And lastly, he's fighting to show the whole world that the upcoming lord of Middletown is not just some normal man!"
"Shut the fuck up, you bitch! What do you think you're doing?" Shuri broke her own character. "A man will do this? You're a pathetic woman who got betrayed by your love, and that brat is nothing but a pussy trying to be a big shot. Know your place, you pathetic villain!"
Shuri's words were venomous, her tone filled with anger, rage, and disdain. Beneath it all was a deep internal turmoil.
"Ten Swords Divine Art!" Shuri summoned ten glowing blades, replicas of her own holy sword. Rubianna and Shuri charged at each other, Rubianna's undead providing equal footing while Shuri's ten blades moved too fast, creating a zone in which they revolved, giving Shuri time to play her trump card.
"Shit! Charles is no longer in shape, this side villain is just out of character! And Samuel might die if this goes on! I can't even waste time fighting Rubianna—she won't slow down. Nor can I let Char and Leo fight any longer..." Shuri bit her lip, lost in thought.
During the time Samuel and she were engaged in their foreplay, Samuel had voiced his doubts. "Shuri, are you sure we'll win the duel? What if that Void changes the tides..."
Samuel wrapped Shuri in a passionate kiss, exploring every corner of her mouth, while she sweetly moaned.
"Mhm..." Shuri broke from the kiss and started kissing Samuel's neck and his bare chest. "Mhm... don't worry, my love. I've kept one trump card hidden. If things go out of hand, I'll Switch!1" Shuri switched and replaced her position with Samuel's.
"Mhm... and replace any of you with the daughter of Astrid Hazelwood... which will lead her to enter the battle to fight Void!" Shuri explained, pressing Samuel's face into her chest. Samuel, licking her breasts, responded, "But... how will this help us? Won't it just create more mess and ruin our duel?" He resumed his attentions after speaking.
"That may be true, but this will remove the biggest danger to us and the extras behind him. Char might get stuck... mhmm... but I'll do anything to keep you with me! Moreover, there's no way Void or anyone, even Astrid herself, will know this. And when they do... mhmfuyuu... it will be too late for them. Only the one who got switched and I will be aware of this..! isn't my switch!"
"The best! Don't worry, I won't let any of you get away from me. You all are mine, only mine!" Shuri whispered in Samuel's ear, her voice sultry and honey-like. She wrapped Samuel in her arms, their bodies entangled.
"Now, let's go back, shall we?" Shuri asked, to which Samuel, his face buried in her chest, nodded. "Switch," Shuri said, and they both were replaced, and we see Vivienne and one more skinny, shy guy with her. It seems they both were locked in Shuri's room until Shuri and Samuel could have their little fun.
Returning to the exact moment of disaster... Shuri said, "Switch!" The cast replaced Samuel with Cicely, the only daughter of Astrid, just as Void was inches from killing her.
"Void!" Anette, Meisheng, and Zoe, who were sitting beside Astrid, said in chorus. Their voices were filled with fear and horror as they predicted the terrible future awaiting them. All three thought the same thing: "Void is an exceptional magic swordsman, but he has no mastery to stop his own casting, especially not in midair and midway at the very last moment..."
