I'm here alone, on standby in the Throne Room.

And I realized that it's been a while.

It's been 2 years to be exact, since I became an NPC.

How did I know you may ask? Well, 2 Christmas-themed in-game parties that the girls attended in the Throne Room along with me and my fellow NPCs came to pass so I guess that's obvious.

In these 2 years, I've finally been able to reach Level 100. It was easy since I got help from the girls.

They made my Leveling up easy by bringing all the enemies' HP to near zero while I did the killing blow.

Cheating? Nah, man.

It's called being practical.

Besides, they were bored anyway and had nothing else to do when they logged in.

With them dwindling the enemies' health and me outright killing them. I got to keep all the dropped Gold and Items despite keeping only 75% of the total EXP gained from the killing.

25% goes to the players but I don't know if they're storing it somewhere or just don't receive them at all considering they're already level 100.

I can't really ask them anyway so who cares.

With the leveling done easily, I was more concerned with how I handle this huge accumulating gold.

As for the items, there are many useful ones but most of them are trash.

'What am I supposed to do with [Skeletal Remains]? or [Fish Tails]? Make decorations from them? Cook it for dinner?' I said despairingly.

If you're wondering where I got my hands on Fish when Helheim is literally the 'Land of the Dead'. Well, this was what happened.

In these 2 years, the girls and I went to travel around the 9 realms. I had the privilege of accompanying them in Dungeon Raids and Quests in the name of Role-playing, where they pretended to be someone destined to do something important.

Like that one time when we raided a Dungeon filled with Faires. We were guided and led by the 'Brat' aka Charlotte as she is roleplaying as the 'Chosen One' of the Queen of the Fae, Titania, to release her people from a mind-controlling spell.

It was successful and the rewards are plenty. I even got myself the [Queen's Ocarina] that enabled me to summon the [Fairy Queen] once.

And in New World logic. She could be summoned without disappearing unless she is killed since she was summoned through an Item.

Unlike a summoning spell that needed a medium, like the Overlord Ainz's need for a corpse or a head, to make their existence permanent.

It was the only time where I was grateful for that brat since she made it possible for me to gain such valuable dungeon rewards.

I know they don't appreciate it much since they won't know what happens after the game shutdown.

The Roleplaying Series is like a tradition for them, where each member of the clan, leads the group to a particular Dungeon or quest that is in line with their character.

Charlotte, for example, has a Seductress and Illusionist build, hence she played the Queen of the Fae's 'Chosen One'.

Remi also played as a 'Fire Princess' tasked to save her kingdom from a dragon, which was a dungeon boss, who allegedly stole her throne.

'I got rewarded with a [Dragon's Core] for it. I can Summon a [Fire Dragon] now! Look out New World! Hahaha'

Traveling to different realms and exploring its lands while having fun roleplaying with the girls was enough to keep me well-driven as an NPC.

I'm just scared of what might happen to me once they no longer have the free time to play the game. I'm bound to get lonely.

'Well, I better appreciate every moment with them, no matter how fun or annoying they may be'

As all members of the Angelariun Clan get to roleplay as a different character every year, each member gets to play on their assigned month. It surely made my stiff life as an NPC, lively.

'Roleplaying is indeed fun, and to think these girls are just casual, I wonder how invested the Guild members of Ainz Ooal Gown must be?'

My favorite of all the adventures I had was just this year when it was My Love's turn to play and lead us. It was when she played as the 'Daughter of God' and was accepting NPC quests that were in line with Exorcisms, Healing and eradicating Undead and Demons.

Getting to kill Demons and Devils in the fires of Muspelheim was an exhilarating change of pace compared to the Undead of Helheim.

All I did was massacre my way through the Demonic Army till I reached the Boss and killed it myself in the name of 'vengeance' for putting My Love in a sleep-like 'death'.

With my Angelic build and job classes, I was their bane.

I was also able to gain access to the rare [Holy Banisher] Job Class for that and Sera was overjoyed by it and immediately deactivated a few basic job classes of mine to give room for my new Job Class.

Yes, you heard it right.

NPC creators can control the NPC's Job Classes and Racial Classes.

Unlike the players who have to die in-game or use spells that consume EXP, like the [Wishing Star], to remove levels and reassign them once they level up once again. The Creators can decide which ones to activate and which ones to remove.

I checked on my current status to observe it once again.

'Right! I need a [World Item] for myself as well!' I said in worry.

Where can I even get a [World Item] anyway when I'm literally an NPC?

What kind of sane player, stores or gives a World Item to an NPC instead of storing it in some secure Vault? Like honestly.

And based on what I can remember from what I read in my previous life.

The sole reason why the whole Nazarick was transported to the new world is that it's filled with [World Items] or more particularly the [Throne of Kings] itself.

Even the [Red Orb] in our 'Papa Bones' chest is a [World Item].

As for whether It's true or not, I do not know but I'll make sure I'll get to keep at least one for myself.

For security... assurance...
