The Defiance of Duskendale

Eighty Thousand Lannister Troops were surging past the Golden Tooth, out the Riverlands, not stopping or slowing until they reached the Crownlands. Gerold led his Men, while Five Thousand stayed in the West, under the Command of Lord Marbrand. Gerold wore Steel Plate with a Golden Finish to it. The Lionsguard was proudly behind him, with The Banners of the Golden Lannister Lion and Gerold's own Red Lion, which was his personal Sigil. Gerold and his men were accompanied by His Uncle's Tygett and Gerion, the Black Lion of Gerion and White Lion of Gerion flapping in the Wind beside the other's.

Strapped to Gerold's hip was Red Rain and from his shoulder hung Orphan-Maker, But Orphan-Maker had been Reforged into a Greatsword by Tywin before they departed. The Steel that didn't come from it or Red Rain was from various Valyrian Weapons Varys had tracked down for Tywin. Gerold had no desire reforge Red Rain. Why would he? The Red Lion was his Personal Sigil, and thus Red Rain was a fitting blade. And of Course he was the Lord of Castamere so that blade staying as it was improved his Claim's legitimacy.

The Reforged Orphan-Maker had some Steel left over, and Gerold asked for it to be forged into a Short Sword with a slightly Curved and Serrated blade. The Serrated request was maybe four pricks, this was to be a Sword capable of slipping between Plate Mail. This Blade had a name like its Counterparts, and was known as Red Reaper. The Blade was Red and Yellow, with a guard made of Black Iron. Gerold's Red Rain hung at his left hip, while his Red Reaper hung at his right hip.

Gerold was Marching to War...

Gerold and Eighty Thousand Lannister Men rode into the Military Canp of the Royalist force's which were under the Command of his Father who was still Hand of the King. Gerold knew that with his Lands barely defended the Ironborn would likely try and raid his shores as retaliation for humiliating House Drumm. Ironborn didn't much care for each other, but making them pay the Iron Price on your terms was an offensive insult. And Drumm had been building up his Fleets Military Strength in recent years.

Thus as a result the Five Thousand Men he left behind focused on the Coastlines in The Westerlands, to guard against surprise Reaving. He'd left the West in the Hands if his Mother and Sister, but enlisted a council of trusted Lord's to help advise them, or more specifically advise Cersei.

Gerold wanted to get that 'I know better than everybody else' Streak out of her. He didn't expect much in all honesty, she'd fucked up the one task he'd given her with any responsibility and actual authority, granted he gave it to her as a joke, but the colossal fuck up she caused was still causing a headache for him.

Lord Lanny lost half his Lands because of Cersei's fuck up, and complained regularly. But details...

Light mocha skin, green eyes and a mess of brown and golden Curls, that was the appearance of one Bellenora Otherys, Daughter of Bellegere and Gerold. Gerold recognized her as his daughter immediately, and entrusted her future education into his Mother and Aunt Genna's hands.

A son would have been nice, but Gerold loved Bellenora all the same. This campaign would drag on for at least another four months, plenty of time to call on Ashara and Janna in the evenings.....

(Time-Skip: Four Months Later)

-----------------------------------------

Gerold had spent most of the the four previous months abed with his Wives. And just as He'd hoped, Ashara announced her Pregnancy having not bled for nearly a month. Gerold was happier for it. But when alone with Janna took her several times over to improve her own odds of pregnancy and personal security.

Gerold and Janna were intertwined and a mess of sweat and sex having spent the last month in as much copulation as they were permitted. The Siege lasted six months just like in Canon, which means that the final phase of planning before Harrenhall could begin, Janna was asleep in his arms, and looking at the three Catspaws in the tent, he nods his consent and the stand up and depart.

He hired them to try and assassinate the King, key word being try, they were equipped with Lannister Weapons, and were instructed to fail miserably. The Lannister Weapons would further inflame the relationship with the King, and produce a Witch Hunt that would point to his Father, and hopefully compel him to be more receptive to joining the Rebellion if they Joined Robert.

Furthermore Lannister Weapons were a pretty flimsy excuse to use for reprisals without hard evidence of assassination, which the King would not get since Catspaws had a suicide clause in their Contract to prevent betrayal.

All that was left to do was sit, wait, fuck, and watch the political fireworks happen....

Okay, No dialog here will set up the next chapter, Once we hit Volume 3 I'll try and flesh out the chapters, enjoy
