Avina poured the plant its final meal of the day. The watering can initially filled to the brim slowly dwindled down until only a loose bit of water lined the edges. Shaking the can and hearing the low rattling, Avina sighed. The water would last only a few more days until it was gone.

'I hope it blooms faster,' Avina said as she poked its leaves. The plant quivered and its leaves gently scratched the dirt.
