Avina blanked out. Her heart skipped one beat, but before she could think about what was happening, Danny released her.

"Did you get home safely?" he asked, a light smile playing on his lips.

Avina absentmindedly nodded her head. She didn't even notice when Danny knitted his fingers with hers.

'Warn me! Warn me!' 5025 shouted. It covered its eyes and hid in the white space again.

Avina snapped out of her daze. She looked down and realized they were holding hands. She looked up and saw his smirk. She looked around her and saw everyone's gossiping eyes.

All at once, her brain short-circuited. Alarm bells rang in her mind and she snatched her hand back. Like a criminal, she fled the scene with her face full blush and her hands covering her cheeks.

Danny was left behind but he didn't mind one bit. Instead, he chuckled and looked at her fleeing back with a warm smile.

"I won't back down now."
