Chapter 62

Severus was only finished with the grimoire in the morning and, without even sleeping for a second, immediately began preparing for the upcoming meeting.

After all, Severus was going to make this day unforgettable for one dark-haired lady, by the name of Black.

The young man did not dress up in bright and frilly outfits, but chose darker tones. Black trousers, a pair of high boots, a long grey coat and a dark sweater (it was still winter, and it was pretty cold outside).

And now, two hours later, leaving the offended Nagini at home, whom he promised two days ago, that he will go on a date with her the next weekend.

He left the store and headed towards Gringotts.

At the same time, a slightly gloomy Bella was standing at the bank, constantly throwing sharp glances towards the clock in the shop next door, and even the goblin standing at the entrance decided to move away from their place for a while.

And people passing by looked strangely at the young woman in a dress with belt and a pair of kid gloves that did not reach her elbows, and all this clothing of hers was completely black.

And if it were not for the lack of a hat or scarf, as well as an irritated expression on her face, then many would consider her a widow who recently lost her husband.

'Ten hours thirty-two minutes. What kind of man is he to make a woman wait?!' Black thought angrily. After all, she came in advance, expecting to see Severus standing here with a bouquet of flowers, but he was not even visible on the horizon.

"If it wasn't for Master's order, I wouldn't have come here at all! We need to get as much information out of him as possible," taking a deep breath, she tried to calm down a bit. "He will definitely be there soon …"

After twenty minutes of waiting, which lasted an eternity, she finally noticed him among the crowd with a smile and a bouquet of roses, walking towards her.

Clenching her trembling hands tightly, she tried to regain her composure.

"Miss Black, you look simply charming as always," he handed her the bouquet, nodding slightly.

"And you weren't in a hurry…" the sorceress snorted with slight annoyance, accepting the flowers, but in the next moment, to her surprise, the flowers began to fall apart into petals and began to circle around her, emitting a pleasant delicate aroma, from which she slowly began to calm down.

"I thought that simple flowers would not surprise you…" Hearing his words, she quickly regained her impassive expression, although she liked this sight, and even her dissatisfaction began to recede.

"And where are we going?" Bella asked with a stoic face.

"To the Muggle world," he replied with a smile, which made her mood start to fall again. "I'm sure you already know Diagon and Knockturn Alleys like the back of your hand, am I not right? And I want to surprise you. Well, Miss Black, will you come with me?" He held out his open hand to her with a smug smile.

"Do I have a choice?" Looking at him contemptuously, she nevertheless placed her thin hand on his, and they both disappeared.

At the same time, the goblin standing at the entrance to the bank, watching the whole picture, angrily spat on the floor "Damn little people…" and the next moment, having taken a few steps forward, he stumbled out of the blue and fell face down into his own saliva…

Finding himself on a long suspension bridge, right in the centre of London, Snape let go of the woman's hands only in order to wrap his arms around her waist, and in response, like a cat whose tail was stepped on, she tried to escape from the grip, but everything was unsuccessful: their forces were too unequal.

"Well, tell me, how are things at "work"?" Bella had not seen such an imprudent man for a long time.

"There's nothing to say about it." Bella said with a stern voice.

"And you have nothing to say about your "friends" there?"

"They followed me themselves, as soon as they heard that I was coming with you," Bella answered restrainedly, pulling herself together and trying to ignore this gesture of Severus.

"Maybe you can tell me about yourself?" She asked, trying to get some information out of him.

"Of course, but there's nothing special about me," Severus winked with a smile. "While I'm still a student at Hogwarts, or rather, just living there, learning Potions from Professor Slughorn, after all, they won't teach me anything higher than what I can find in books, and I've already learned how to wave a wand," stopping on the bridge, he looked up at the clear blue sky, and then turned to the river flowing under the bridge through which the ship sailed.

"By the way, it's a nice view, isn't it?" He asked.

"Nothing special, and don't try to divert the subject."

"Oh-oh-oh, I was caught, by the way, it's pretty cool today, aren't you cold?"

"Again?" This time she looked at him with cold eyes.

"I'm really worried about you, will you catch a cold? Although it may be for the best, then I can take care of you: wipe the sweat, spoon-feed and be there …"

"I was thinking, maybe I should show you the Avada Kedavra spell?" She reached for her wand.

"I'm kidding, what would you like to hear? Let's do this, one question is on you, and the other is on me, and so on we will take turns, what do you say?" Snape suggested. looking the gloomy lady in the eyes.

Thinking for a moment, she considered this quite acceptable, and at any moment she could just lie. "Okay, then I'll be first."

"Please." He smiled at her as he said this.

"How did you become like this?"

"Thanks to one potion. Sorry, I won't tell you the recipe: this is the secret of my teacher, and I doubt that anyone will be ready to experience pain, it is as if you are being cooked from the inside, it's just an indescribable feeling," the woman shuddered at his words. "I don't wish anyone to experience that "happiness."

"I see…" She said slowly looking in his eyes.

"Oh~Ho, why are we talking about negative thoughts on our date?" pressing the woman close to him, he blew into her ear, which made her squeak and hit Severus with her elbow, and then looked menacingly into his eyes, while at the same time her cheeks burned with a blush, which was clearly visible on her pale face.

"Now my question is…" His smile faded and was replaced by a frown, at the sight of which Bella swallowed.

"What kind of cuisine do you like?"

"…A?" Bella was shocked by his question and she couldn't even respond for a few seconds.

"Food?" she expected anything, even a question about the master, but not this.

"Well, yes, there are quite a lot of restaurants in London, but I don't want to make a mistake, after all, it is our first date."

"Do you think there will be another date?"

"Certainly. Did you really think that I would tell everything about myself at the first meeting?" He smiled cheerfully at her. "And you haven't answered my question yet."

"Italian," she chuckled in displeasure, turning away from him.

"Ohh? I thought you weren't a fan of Muggle food."

"It's none of your business, now it's my turn," the young woman snapped, looking at him with annoyance. "Who is your teacher?"

"Oooh… I thought that you would slowly lead to this question, but never mind, I will answer, this is Amon Ichiros, powerful wizard and master of the sword."

Bella frowned again, because she had never heard this name, and this could mean: either he was a hermit who had previously lived in some wilderness, which is not surprising for wizards; or he came from another country, which also cannot be ruled out.

"Now it's my turn… what should I ask…?Hmm ... exactly, how did you come to such a life?" He asked with a thoughtful look.

"What are you talking about?" Bella asked, raising her eyebrow.

"Why did you start serving Voldemort?" Although she did not like the wording of the question, she decided to remain silent for the time being. "He's handsome…"

The Lich's face surfaced in Severus's head: completely white, without a nose or hair. "You have strange tastes, but okay, go ahead.

"His cruelty and ruthlessness …" She said with a fanatic look.

"It's more accurate to say madness, but you continue," noticing the sidelong glance of her, he nodded with a smile, and she again returned a dreamy expression, mixed with adoration. "His strength…"

"Hmm, that seems like a valid point."

"Maybe you should stop interrupting me already?" she demanded irritably. "Or did you think you could ever match him?" the sorceress added with a mocking smile, and in the next moment she was pressed against the security booth.

"You're angry that he's better than you." She said looking at Severus with a smile.

"No, it's just funny to me actually. Imagine comparing yourself with a creature. A madman who broke his soul into pieces and dreams of imaginary immortality, while slowly going crazy, disfiguring his appearance, lying to his supporters about the purity of his blood, binding them to himself with the help of artefacts, while achieving their loyalty with lies and fear, which of these do I envy?" Severus easily knocked the dagger out of her hand, and he himself looked into her furious eyes with a mocking smile, while calmly adding.

"Tell me where am I wrong? And I have not yet added the fact that he personally killed his parents (Dad), framed his only relative, because of which that relative was put in Azkaban, and I would refrain from commenting on his face. Tom has long ceased to be human, the one you see is a greedy monster who does not experience any emotions, and even if you are killed right in front of his eyes, he will not care about it, although no, maybe he will be a little sad after losing such a valuable pawn from a rich pureblood family, because he will no longer be able to run his little hands into your safe. I doubt Walburga would be too happy to share the Galleons from the family safe. Well, what do you say, show me at least one moment where I was wrong?"
