Chapter 90

"Still, Muggles are amazing!" Severus  couldn't help but sigh in admiration as he read the book "How an Airplane Works and How It Flies" that the stewardess gave him.

"Everything is so simple and logical, but how much sweat and blood was invested to get to this point" - finally closing it, he put the book on his knees and looked at Nagini calmly sleeping next to him. "But I still have to agree with her, it's a little boring here," Snape lowered the back of his chair a little, settled himself comfortably and closed his eyes. "I can sleep a little until we reach ..."

At the same time, a petite woman passing by slightly frowned, experiencing some strange feeling when she caught a couple sitting next to the young man from the corner of her eye, which for a moment became transparent. "I should have gone to bed earlier yesterday," shaking her head, the lady went on, but at the same time, she still looked back from time to time, experiencing a very strange feeling from that trio, as if she could not see something, and this "something" seemed to be right in front of her eyes.

When the woman finally came to the door leading to the rest room, she heard someone coughing and, turning around, just didn't have time to say anything, as she was in the grip of a man in a leather jacket, and something cold touched her temple. At the same moment, four more men in simpler clothes got up from their seats.

They quickly dispersed around the cabin and also took out pistols. This entire "operation" took five seconds, the rest of the passengers did not even have time to understand anything, as a rough voice sounded: "The plane is hijacked! Nobody move!"

People looked at each other in surprise until they finally realised what was happening, and almost everyone immediately panicked, but no one dared to say anything at the sight of weapons in the hands of unknown people.

"I-I'm sorry, but what do you want?" Hearing the flight attendant's nervous voice, the man in the leather jacket smirked, which made the woman's already pale face even whiter. After all, this was her first flight, and although she learned what to do in a similar situation, but when she was face to face with a real terrorist, her head "emptied" in an instant.

"Well, I'm glad you all understand the situation." looking at the faces of the frightened passengers, he laughed, and the rest of his men joined him. "Now you are our hostages, and …" for a moment all five froze, "... you are played!" He pointed the gun up, and a small flame escaped from it.

"Happy surprise day!" Having released the stewardess, they laughed merrily, but the passengers were... not laughing. Some men even got up from their seats and began to stretch their fists, approaching the unlucky pranksters. At the same time, Nagini, who woke up from the noise and saw this whole situation almost from the front rows, narrowed her eyes and looked at the sleeping Severus , who almost didn't even move during all this time, except for a couple of finger taps on his knee just at the moment when they suddenly stunned everyone that it was all just a joke. But she didn't ask him anything. but simply waved her tail at the men kicking the pranksters, closed her eyes and fell asleep again.

But the stewardess couldn't be as relaxed, she still felt jitters after this joke. Deep down, the woman was sure that something was wrong in this situation. These people played too believably.

"Laura, how are you?" her colleague asked anxiously with a glass of water in her hand.

"Thanks, it's better," she answered with a forced smile, trying to give confidence to her voice, after taking a few sips. "Damn pranksters, as soon as we get back, we will turn them over to the police right away!"

"Calm down, and we should already distribute dinner, forget about them." Hearing her words, the other stewardess couldn't help but let out an exasperated sigh. "Okay, let's go."

A few hours later, the plane finally flew to Dubai

*******

After leaving the airport, Severus  began to look around the city he had recently arrived in with slight interest, and after the first breath, the young man had to admit that, compared to London, the air in Sao Paulo was much cleaner, and the vegetation was more than twice.

There were palms, trees, and small flower beds on every corner. "It's not bad here," he looked at the people passing by with a smile, and then at the transport, which looked more "simple" compared to what was in England. "But it's still more familiar there."

" Yes…"

"We're not here for long," Snape stroked the top of her head with a smile, hearing Nagini's languid tone, and then began to look around until he noticed a man in a gray jacket and a green hat standing near a column not far from the bus stop. The man also noticed a strangely dressed young man approaching him, causing a bit of bewilderment, and when he stopped in front of him, the writer was completely confused.

"Are you Mr Snape?" he asked a little embarrassed, because there was a "boy" in front of him, and according to the letters that he received, he had expected that it was someone older and much more.

"I am, thank you for taking the time to see me off, Mr. Brew," Severus extended his hand with a smile.

"… Yes… hello…" Fred nodded sluggishly, nevertheless coming to his senses and shaking it. "Mr. Snape, think, please, it's very dangerous out there." - You wrote to me about it. Don't worry, I'm confident in my abilities."

A small bag appeared in his hands, which he handed over to the man. "There are two thousand here, let's go tomorrow morning, and now I want to visit the magical part of this country."

"Can't I convince you?" Seeing the calmness on the young man's face, he asked.

"Don't worry, I can protect myself. After we get to the barrier, I'll pay another thousand." Seeing the "struggle" on the writer's face, the wizard's opinion of him improved slightly, yet three thousand Galleons was a rather big amount. Many for such money would be ready to strangle each other.

Finally, the wizard handed him the pouch back." Let me tell you about the jungle and all the dangers that I had to go through, and tomorrow you will decide whether you are ready to enter there or not."

"He's a good person." Nagini said from under his sleeve.

"I agree, a rarity among wizards," Severus  nodded with a smile, but still did not accept the Galleons. "Keep them for now."

"But…"

"No buts, now can you take me to the exchange office, or do they accept Galleons here?"

"Okay." with a tired sigh, the writer touched Snape's shoulder, and in the next moment they were gone...

---

Within half an hour, having exchanged ten thousand galleons for the local currency, they moved to a rather crowded street, with shops and tents standing right outside.

"This is a Muggle market, but it's not far from us," after crossing the street, they came to a completely empty dead end, only the wizards did not stop, but calmly passed through a brick wall, finding themselves in a completely different place.

It was a small gloomy street, there were not so many people here, but almost everyone moved around in raincoats or masks, a few walked with open faces. Besides, it was very dirty.

Some shops, if, of course, they could be called such: were just tables standing outside, on which lay goods of a not very presentable appearance.

In addition to them, there were also shops and more or less normal shops, but closer to the center of the "market".

"Be careful, although this place is patrolled by detachments of the local defenders of order, but murders are not so rare here," Fred whispered in his ear, lowering his hat.

Severus , in turn, had already put on the mask in which he once went to the masquerade ball.

"Good," nodding calmly and looking to the right, he saw a table behind which stood an unpleasant-looking man, brewing some strange mixture in a saucepan, and next to him lay a couple of vials of red and blue liquids. "Poison, but it's still far from Nagini's." and then his eyes fell on the table with daggers opposite. "Mediocre work."

Passing by the seller with daggers, the writer threw him a gold coin, he deftly caught it and, grinning with his toothless mouth, threw two badges in the form of a black letter "P".

"This is a kind of "tax", upon payment of which the local gangs will not touch you," the man handed Severus one of them, and he put the second one in his pocket.

"I see." If it was possible to avoid unnecessary problems like this, Severus  had nothing against the "tax" because he didn't come here to fight.

Passing the stone arch, Snape began to inspect the proposed "goods".

Although most of them could hardly be called such: all sorts of trinkets called artefacts; potions whose names had nothing to do with properties; but still he bought some books, and they were very cheap: only some five "fedos" apiece. One galleon in this country was equal to one "mouro" - a gold coin - and ten "depra" - a silver coin, and, in addition to them, there were iron ones - "fedo", the smallest currency. One gold was equal to twelve silver, and one silver was equal to thirty-two iron.

Apart from that, Severus  also studied metals, and the herbal shop in particular caught his attention.

The assortment there was very rich: from the simplest ingredients, to those for which in Magical Britain they would throw them into Azkaban without trial or investigation, even if you were a potions master.

In this store, Snape bought himself well, spending almost four thousand mouros. In addition to simple rare herbs, he was able to find some ingredients for a youth potion that could rejuvenate fifteen years, but only once.

Of course, there was a more advanced potion of this type, it is only that for the growth of these herbs a magical background was required ten times higher than at Hogwarts.

For this reason, their growth in this world was impossible, so he did not even think about this potion. Severus  left the store very satisfied, because, in addition to the necessary ingredients, he was able to buy herbs for his potions almost twenty percent cheaper and in excellent quality.

"Let's leave faster," the gloomy writer pulled him along, but Severus  did not try to escape from his grip, because this escape was already useless: the herb salesman had already sold them minutes ago by pressing on a small seal under the table.

And, surprising as it may be, but, passing the next turn, they met a group of wizards dressed in not the cleanest outfits, over which there was leather armour with a holster for a wand and a dagger on a belt, and their faces were decorated with grins.

"Here's another, the ingredients have arrived…" The Prince smiled back at them.
