John awoke in a cold sweat. Sam was clutching onto him and started to whisper softly, with the intent to comfort and calm him down.

"John, it's ok hunny. Just calm down and relax, I'm here with you."

He looked over to her, and saw the compassion in her face as she was attempting to sooth him. A sense of relief filled his essence and as he was calming down, they heard the sounds of objects, such as a chair and some books, bang down onto the ground as they fell from they're levitation. Startled from this, Sam moved in closer to John, wrapped her arms around his chest and squeezed onto his torso. Holding onto him as if never planning to let go of him.

John looked down at her once again, with anguish in his face, and said to her.

"I'm sorry hun, I was just having a nightmare of the past few recent endeavors. I dreamt about the last battle, recreating all the death in my mind over and over again."

Sam was holding onto him tightly as he reminisced into her, and uttered back to him with sincerity.

"John, as you were dreaming, well you were saying what you were dreaming. You kept on mentioning about Greag dying, and said some things about losing me."

Sam looked up to John's face, and saw tears as they ran down his cheeks. She reacted by grabbing his hands and placing them around her, pushed herself in as close to him as she physically could, and rested her head upon his chest. The sound of his beating heart echoed through his body. She was hoping that this would help calm him down. John pulled her in, and squeezed onto her as he sobbed. Within a moment he finally relaxed, while he said to her.

"I can't lose you. I'm finding out all these hidden things about myself, which is beginning to be too much for me to bear. I'm being accused of being connected to those creatures somehow, and being looked at as a traitor, or a freak."

Sam shushed him softly, as she cuddled up to him and rubbed his chest until he finally closed his eyes and fell back to sleep.

She attempted to get some rest, to have been awakened several times throughout the night, from John talking in his sleep or the random objects in the room dropping. She knew he had been traumatized and was changing, but also knew he won't admit to it.

John awoke the next morning to the sounds of kid's laughter from outside of the doorway of their room. He rubbed his eyes with his right arm, after noticing that his left arm was dead numb from having Sam laying on it all night. He looked down, to see Sam was still fast asleep, and decided to let her sleep.

"She looks happy."

He thought to himself. He slowly moved his arm from underneath her head, still limp from numbness. Slowly and calmly rolled over and crawled out of bed. Stood himself up, and waited for the feeling in his arm to come back. He walked over to his dresser, opened the second drawer and grabbed for some clothing to wear.

A knock came from the door. Sam, startled, awoke from the sudden noise and started to tiredly grumble. John stopped dead in his tracks, looked behind himself to see Sam covering her face with her arm, and hollered out to the door.

"Hello? Who is it and what do you want?"
