Chapter 2 Miya

"Um, hello?" Miya called out while she looked around to check if there was anyone else in the room.

The voice answered with. "Hi, I'm in this metal capsule. Only if you are wondering, of course."

Miya then proceeded to approach the metal capsule cautiously. She then peeked at the window that was on the top part of the capsule, inside was a black-haired man.

He had a sheet of metal covering his eyes. His legs are chained to a flat piece of metal behind him, which the man currently is leaning against.

His hands are bound by a metal gauntlet that is welded together. The inside of the capsule even has frost on it.

But despite all of this didn't seem to faze the man at all, who just has this calm and eerie smile on his face.

"Hold on, I'll get you out!!" Miya said to the man whilst trying to pry the door of the capsule open with just her hands.

"There is no need. I can get out whenever I want. Shouldn't you be more concerned about your friends? They seem to have lost already." The man nonchalantly said.

"I need to get you out so you can help me free them," Miya replied, still trying to pry the capsule open with just her arms.

"What makes you say I'll help you?" The man calmly asked.

"Cause you're in the same situation as us, CAPTURED...."

"I've already said, I get out whenever I please."

"If you can do that, then you can help us, can't you?" Miya asked with a desperate look.

"No."

But, despite the man bluntly putting her down, Miya continued to try and set the man free.

"Girl, I already told you, no." Said the man.

Then, as she pulled on the door, Miya replied. "If I set you free, you owe me right? Help me save them. Ugh!"

As Miya fell to the ground due to the door not budging, the man calmly stated. "I know you heard what I just said."

"..."

"..."

As the room bathed in silence, Miya crawled up to the metal capsule before saying with tears flowing out of her eyes. "Please, help us. Please, I can't anymore."

"..."

As Miya laid her forehead against the metal capsule while her tears continued to flow out of her eyes, the man inside the capsule remained in silence, not saying a word.

But then, he calmly spoke. "You should probably hide. People are heading this way."

After hearing his words, Miya, while sobbing, turned to look around the room. Her eyes scanned the empty surroundings before landing on the vehicle before her.

Then, with a bit of urgency and anxiety in his voice, the man loudly stated. "No, that's where they will check first."

Then, in pure panic, Miya just froze up, standing incredibly still in the middle of the room.

Then, after an audible annoyed tick from the man, the door to his capsule opened. Then, he said calmly but with a sense of urgency. "Get in here, girl."

But, as she remained frozen, Miya just kinda stared at him, with her teary eyes.

Then, without a shred of hesitation, the man leaped out of his capsule, breaking the restraints that held him in place.

Then, with a quick motion, he grabbed Miya with his still locked-up hands before dashing back inside the capsule.

As the door closed behind them, the man hid Miya behind the metal sheet that he was placed upon.

And a moment later, every single one of his restraints moved to repair themselves as he got back in place.

Then, as the man calmly stated to Miya. "I don't have to tell you what to do, right?" The door which Miya came from shot open, revealing guards with their weapons at the ready.

"Careful of the truck, they might be inside it." Said one of the guards as they moved towards the truck.

Then, after a quick search, they regrouped after finding no one.

"Le-"

But before they could speak, the man in the capsule injected himself into the conversation by saying. "Quite a fine night we got here, fellas."

As the guards focused their attention on the capsule and the man, Miya, who was cradling herself behind the man, covered her ears as her face was filled with sheer terror.

Then, the man continued. "Well, if it isn't incompetent fool number one, two, three, four, five, and six. My favorite numbers."

Then, one of the guards walked over to the capsule and pointed his weapon directly onto the window while saying. "Another word and you're dying!"

To which the man mocked. "Oh no! Not the sweet release!"

But, as the guard gritted his teeth, another guard walked up to them and tapped them on the shoulder while saying. "Don't."

Then, the guard reluctantly lowered his weapon.

Then, the man continued to mock. "What's wrong? Getting nervous? Thinking you might die today?"

Then, as they pushed the other guard aside, the guard went back, saying. "Shut up!"

Then, faced with the guard's hostility, the man calmly stated. "Oh, don't worry. Everybody gets scared. Now, go ahead and wipe off that sweat rolling from your forehead to your left cheek, and onto your chin."

Then, as the guards looked on in terror, the man simply grinned, while his eyes remained covered with a sheet of metal.

Then, as the guard backed off while they wiped the sweat off of their chin, everyone raised their weapons and pointed them at the capsule.

Then, without a shred of fear in his voice, the man calmly stated. "You guys might act all tough and strong now, but... I think you should know... That the only thing separating you and me, is this unlocked door."

"..."

Then, after a few seconds of pure silence, a brave guard walked up to the capsule and pulled on its door, which fought back.

Then, with a bit of a shaken, yet relieved voice, the guard stated. "It's locked. Let's move on, we still got some intruders to deal with."

After saying this, the other guards nodded in unison as they carefully moved towards the back end of the cart.

But, as they did so, the man followed them with his gaze, despite his eyes being covered in metal, leading to him just following them with his grin.

Then, as the guards carefully opened the door leading towards the back, with their weapons ready, the man suddenly shouted. "Up front and above!"

Hearing the words shouted, the guards looked forwards and above, but, there was nothing but passing snow.

But then, a hand came from below, throwing one of the guards overboard.

Seeing this the guards pointed their weapons downwards, but then, with a loud crash, the roof of the cart they came from fell with sliced edges.

And before they knew it, five figures jumped in from the roof above and landed right behind them.

Then, before they could get any sort of reaction, they were all thrown into the space between the carts before ultimately being thrown off of the speeding train.

Then, as the figures pulled up the woman with the claws from underneath the cart, one of them said. "Told you it was easier this way."

Then, the woman with claws said. "It wasn't easy, it was made easy."

Soon after, they entered the room, with the woman with the claws heading straight for the metal capsule.

Then, as she stood before it, she asked a simple question. "Who are you supposed to be?"

To which the man inside the capsule replied. "A nobody. Go on, continue on with your day."

Then, the woman drew her claws and slashed at the metal capsule, but it did not leave a single mark, only bright yellow sparks.

As she stared down her claws, she said. "Looks like you're staying in there for just a bit longer, mystery man."

Then, the girl with the mace, after seeing their exchange, moved forward while saying. "I can probably smash that cage open with my mace."

Then, the man with the sword stated. "No, it would be best for us if he stays in there."

As everyone aimed their attention toward him, the man with the metal gauntlets said. "I think this is where... We cut our losses."

Then, one of the girls with the knives said. "What?! We haven't got anything valuable yet!"

To which the man with the sword refuted. "We have been here long enough, and we are nearly at the front, I doubt there is anything more valuable than that truck over there."

As they stared at the truck, a girl with a little crossbow came back, saying. "I don't think they're sending more people towards us, they're probably stalling for backup."

Then, the girl with the knives sighed, saying. "All in favor to take this truck and leave, say Aye. Aye!"

"Aye!"

"Aye!"

"Aye!"

But then, the girl with the mace said. "If we are taking the entire cart, what are we going to do with this guy?" Pointing at the man in the capsule.

Then, the man said. "I suggest you leave me behind, for your own sake, Hunters."

Then, after gesturing for the girl with the mace to move to the side, the woman with the claws stepped forwards, stating. "Nice trick, blind man."

Then, while his eyes remained covered, the man calmly stated. "I didn't know that the Hunters could fly. Better be careful though, those are quite hard to fly without experience."

Then, one of the figures said. "Okay, that's creepy."

"Shut up!" Said the woman with the claws.

Then, after returning her attention to the man in the capsule, the woman stated as she continued to stare at the man. "I feel like... I should know you... Can you take that metal sheet off? I want to see your face."

To which the man replied. "Take me to dinner first, you pervert!"

Then, the man with the sword stated. "Let's leave him, the truck should be enough. I don't want to take a wild card with me."

Then, the girl with the mace said. "But if he wants us to leave him here, he must be hiding something... A bounty perhaps?"

After hearing the girl's theory, everyone stared at each other, unsure of what to do next.

But then, the woman with the claws kicked the metal capsule, asking. "With the way the conversation is going, you're going to get taken away from this... Train, I think that's what the fox called it. What do you say?"

To which the man just smiled in silence.

Then, after a bit of thought, the woman knocked on the door while saying. "I call your bluff, money man."

She then turned to the others, saying. "We will take this cart and everything inside it. Be quick, reinforcements shouldn't be that far."

And so, everyone left the room. Leaving the truck, the metal capsule, and the man alone.

But then, after hearing the door slam shut, Miya popped out of her hiding spot, asking. "Are the guards gone?"

To which the man replied. "Dead."

"Oh..."

"Why do you sound sad? Weren't you afraid of them? For what they did to you and your family?"

Then, after hearing his words, Miya muttered to herself. "Family... My family! Everyone! They are still in danger! Quick! Help them!" She said as she tried to grab onto the man, but her hands were blocked by a golden aura before they could reach him.

Then, as Miya stared into her hands, the man calmly stated. "Helping them would be no benefit to me."

Then, tears began flowing out of Miya's eyes once more as she tried to punch the man, but his golden aura blocked each and every single one of them.

She then screamed. "Then, why did you save me?!"

And as Miya crumbled to her knees, the man just stood there in silence.

"..."

But then, after listening to Miya's cries for a bit, the man stated. "Okay, I get it. I'll help you save them."

Then, with hope in her eyes, Miya tried clinging to him, but his golden aura prevented her from doing what she wants.

She then begged. "Please, save them! I can't... I can't do it myself..."

Then, after seeing Miya slowly crumble onto the floor, the man said. "I'll help you save them because they are in the way. Now stand up, you shouldn't cry like that before anyone."

"Please..."

"I already said I would."

"Please..."

"I won't do it right now. Or else everything might fall apart. You will have to wait."

"Please..."

"I said stop it!" The man shouted at Miya.

Then, with tears crawling down her cheek, Miya looked up at the man, staring deep into the metal sheet that covered his eyes.

Then, with a truly helpless expression, Miya said. "Please, help me save them..."

"...okay."

After hearing this, the man removed the binds that held him in place once more. He then knelt before Miya and said. "I will help you save your family, I can promise you that much."

Then, as she continued to sob, Miya asked. "Really?"

"Yes."

Then, with a forced smile, Miya said. "Thank you..."
