"I don't know what to do."
Hanabi, who was sitting on the balcony of her house beside Morgan, asked. "What do you mean by that?"
Looking a bit hesitant, Morgan gave in and said. "I don't like it."
"What is it that you don't like?"
"Me. I am the one I don't like."
With a smile, Hanabi stated. "It's fine. It perfectly normal to hate yourself, it's part of the process of improving and such."
Morgan stared at her, with a hint of anger in her deep, blue eyes, before saying. "I'm not hating on myself so I can improve, I'm hating on myself because I'm not."
"What do you mean?"
Morgan pulled her knees in, hugged them, before saying. "I-I don't..."
"Come on, Mo-chan. You can tell me." Hanabi said with a smile.
After remaining silent for a few seconds, Morgan said with a very low tone. "I don't know."
"What do you not know?"
"I don't know. I don't know why I went up here, or why I'm talking to you."
"Did you perhaps lose your memory?" Hanabi joked as she continued to smile.
"No... it's not like that it's..."
"..."
"..."
With a sigh, Morgan said. "I feel like I betrayed his trust."
"Who's trust?"
"I-I..."
Seeing Morgan hesitate, Hanabi said. "It's fine. You don't have to tell me who he is, I already know. So, then, tell me, what did you do to 'betray his trust'?"
"..."
"..."
"I got jealous."
"Eh?"
"I run up to him, thinking he was cheating, but he was just doing his normal thing."
"Pfffft!"
Hearing an odd noise, Morgan turned towards Hanabi, only to see her barely containing her laughter.
"Fuwahahaha!" Hanabi couldn't take it anymore and finally let out her laughter, filling the quiet scenery of the top of the cliff.
"..." Morgan just stared blankly at her.
"Hahaha! Phew! I'm sorry about that, Mo-chan. I couldn't keep it in."
"..."
"I assume you don't know what I was laughing at, do you, you dense, innocent child?"
"What did you just say to me?!"
"It's just a joke, Mo-chan. You take things way too seriously, you know?"
"..."
"Ahem! Let me ask you a question, Mo-chan. What was his reaction when you did what you did?"
"...Smile... and think about me."
"You see! He isn't mad at you, so why should you be mad at yourself?"
Morgan returned her view infront of her, still hugging her knees, she responded. "I thought we had something going. And here I was, giving into my emotions and betraying his trust."
"What? What are you talking about?"
Morgan turnes back to Hanabi, only to see her confused expression.
"Haaa..." Hanabi let out a deep sigh as she asked. "Why are you so keen on keeping that amount of trust? Did someone take your teddy bear when you were a child or something?"
"I didn't have a teddy bear when I was-"
"That's besides the point!"
"My point is, you demand way too much from your partner... No, scratch that!"
"You demand way too much... from yourself."
"..."
"Haaa... How dense can you be, Mo-chan?"
"What did you just say?"
"Your dense, Mo-chan. So dense!"
"He probably wasn't mad at you when you 'betrayed his trust', he was probably more amused!"
"Aahh, I remember this exact scenario when I had Yonshi used to come and visit." Hanabi said with a longing tone, staring into the falling leaves.
"He once thought I was cheating on him with his own sister. What a weird time that was."
"Instead of getting angry at him for thinking I would even think of cheating on him, I instead found it, a bit amusing."
"And when I mean amusing, I mean laughing at his stupid face for thinking such a thing, with his own sister no less! Hahaha!"
"I think I tickled myself! Hahaha!"
While Hanabi continued to laugh her heart out, Morgan sheepishly asked. "Are you sure he isn't mad at me?"
Hanabi slowed down her laughter, eventually stopping, and when she did, she replied. "You've been with him more than I do. You should know him by now, yes?"
And with a smile on her face, Morgan said. "Yes, I know him too well."
Forming a smile as well, Hanabi said. "See! It's not that bad. Just don't be too hard on yourself and you'll be fine~."
After hearing Hanabi's reassurance, Morgan replied. "Yes, everything will be fine." Before looking down to the ground, still hugging her knees, and looking like she has a lot of things in her mind.
All of this did not escape Hanabi's eyes, who then yelled. "You'll be fine!" As she landed a heavy chop on Morgan's head, causing her to nearly fall down the stairs next to them.
"Ah! Are you okay?"
"Yes. Just... wasn't expecting it."
"That's good. Then... go out there and show him who's boss!"
"..." Morgan just blankly stared at Hanabi.
"Go on! What are you waiting for? He's probably waiting for you down there, you know?"
"He isn't. I know him too well."
"Well, what do you intend to do?"
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Hanabi, can I ask you a favor?"
"Hmm? Sure."
"Can I stay here for a while? Maybe stay a night?"
"Sure. It does get a bit lonely up here. But, why exactly?"
"I don't think I can meet him just yet."
"Haaaa... Mo-chan, you're stupid, you know?"
"So, can I stay?"
With a sigh, Hanabi said. "Yes. Yes you can."
And with that, Morgan stayed in Hanabi's place as the afternoon soon went past.
