Chapter Five: Debut

The day of the Royal Phoenix Twins had arrived and their father had not only publicised it to the entire empire, but also invited representatives from the Sacred Lands and other empires.

The two were dressed in red robes, with Feng Xue's having a large golden Phoenix emblazoned across it, with a red Phoenix coronet on her head also. Feng Xiyang's however, had a smaller golden Phoenix across his, as he also had the design of a golden Dragon and a Golden Crow also, his father deciding to emphasise his bloodline inheritances. He too wore a coronet on his head, though his was a coiling dragon. His father was planning to label them his Royal Dragon-Phoenix Twins and the Divine Blessing of the empire.

His father was using the largest hall in the palace to host the event, having placed two smaller thrones on either side of his own. The fall was filled with the rest of their siblings, and the sect elders, as well as some higher ranked nobles or merchants within the empire. The representatives from the other empires had also arrived and were seated, and they were now waiting for the representatives from the Sacred Lands.

The princes were all alternating between glaring at Feng Xiyang and lustfully staring at Feng Xue, especially the Crown Prince. This was infuriating not only Feng Xiyang, but also their father, who was wondering how he could have birthed children on the two ends of the spectrum. His youngest seemed perfect, and yet his elder children were all dogs. It truly showed how much of a beating they needed.

Soon enough, with a sequence of surperfluous entrances, the Sacred Ground representatives arrived and were seated. With the hall filled, and everyone seated, Feng Hengkong rose and lifted a glass of wine.

"Welcome all, and thank you for coming. I have invited you all here for many reasons. Primarily, it is to introduce my two youngest, and greatest children, my Dragon-Phoenix twins, Feng Xiyang and Feng Xue. Today is their 13 birthday, and so I would like to celebrate it. I would also,like to declare Feng Xue as the Phoenix Ancestor's complete inheritor, having reached the peak of the Spirit Profound at only 13. Next is my son, Xiyang. He has not only been blessed by the Divine Golden Crow from birth, it has also become the complete inheritor of the Divine Phoenix and sole and complete inheritor of the Azure Dragon God. My son, at the young age of 13, has reached what the Dragon God has named the Divine Origin Realm, the stage after the Sovereign Profound Realm!"

The hall was silent, taking a while to recover, before it was filled with a cacophony of uproar. The Sacred Lands were especially loud, their auras flaring as they tried to demand an explanation. That is until Feng Xiyang stood up and flared his aura, simultaneously using his Dragon Soul Domain, completely suppressing everyone present in the hall bar his father and sister.

"Silence! The Dragon God has informed me that there are Seven Divine Profound Realms after the Sovereign Profound Realm. I have merely entered the first of them. There is no special secret to it, you must merely have sufficient talent and accumulation to achieve it. I hope everyone can continue to enjoy the feast lest I be forced prove my words."

Waiting a moment, he soon sat back down and released the Soul Domain and his aura, continuing to eat as if nothing had occurred. The people present, however, were beyond shocked. They felt like that they had been living a lie. Not only had higher cultivation realms been revealed, but these untouched realms had somehow been achieved by a child. They all cursed the heavens for being unfair in their hearts.

The Sacred Land representatives however, quickly left, rushing back to their Sacred Grounds to report. Those from the other empires merely sighed, knowing that the Divine Phoenix's position as the rulers of the continent had now been solidified.

After the feast, the members moved to the large stage in the square before the palace, where the emperor was planning to talk to the masses of the empire.

The crowd were distracted by the stars of the show, however. Feng Xue, had frozen, a dazed expression on her face as she witnessed snow falling for the first time in her life. Enamoured by it, she revealed an extremely beautiful expression, charming all present. The crowd boiled in excitement and wonderment, before it soon turned to rage and then awe and fear.

This was due to one lustful man rushing forward to attempt to reach Feng Xue. This had enraged everyone present, but Feng Xiyang in particular. He had waved his hands and sent a blast of golden flames incinerating the man completely. The golden flames had looked beautiful, and made the twins look even more beautiful and ethereal than before, enchanting the crowd.

"My people, today we celebrate the 13th birthday of my youngest children, Feng Xiyang and Feng Xue! They are the future and prosperity of our Divine Phoenix Empire. They are the blessing bestowed upon us by the Heavens and shall lead us to become the 5th Sacred Ground!"

The Emperor Feng Hengkong's words shook the entire capital, before the people, no matter their age or status lol roared in excitement, pride and expectations boiling within them.

The news and events of that day spread over the entire continent, shocking all who heard it. Different cultivators focused on different parts, but all knew the names of Feng Xiyang and Feng Xue. They also knew that the Divine Phoenix Empire was untouchable, especially the Sacred Grounds, who half felt Feng Xiyang's immense aura and knew it had far ascended the Peak of of Sovereign Profound, having felt such auras before.

Both of the twins had become famous, Feng Xue for being known as Princess Snow, the most beautiful woman in the entire Sky Profound Continent. Her brother however, was Known as the Golden Flame Prince, Profound God and most handsome man in the entire continent. Many wished they could be part of the Divine Phoenix Empire to get closer to them or even to just witness them, whereas many others cursed the Heavens for blessing the Divine Phoenix Empire so.

The news also soon reached the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace where Chu Yueli and Xia Qingyue were currently cultivating, shocking them more so than the others, as they knew that he had only recently broken through to be a Monarch. They also reminisced their brief meeting with the child, and admitted he did deserve the titles granted to him, most especially the claim of his looks, as that was the only one they could guarantee.

Chu Yueli sighed, "It seems he is truly blessed by the heavens. It seems the token he granted us is truly worth much more than we thought."

Xia Qingyue nodded, "Should we tell Palace Mistress?"

Chu Yueli contemplated before nodding and then rising with a sigh, "I'm sure she will be delighted to know we have the 'Profound God's' favour."

Chu Yueli disappeared from the room and reappeared in a large hall. There was only a middle aged lady within the hall, looking rather solemn and cold.

"Yueli? Why have you come here?"

"Master, I thought that I should tell you that Qingyue and I met with Feng Xiyang a few months ago in Floating Cloud City. He seems to have taken us as friends and even granted us his token with his aura inside as proof."

"While interesting, there is not much we can do with it. Go back to cultivate, if it comes in handy then use it, otherwise leave it for now."

Chu Yueli stilled, before nodding and returning to cultivate and guide Xia Qingyue.

Meanwhile, in the Divine Phoenix Empire, Feng xiyan and Feng Xue were currently talking about a certain Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace.

"Xue'er, if you liked the snow so much, I can take you to see lots of it. Chu Yueli said that her sect is surrounded by ice and snow all year round. It might be fun to visit. She also said it is an all female sect, so you can go and make lots of friends."

Feng Xiyang had managed to comprehend all of the World Ode of the Phoenix and the Record of the Burning World. As such, he had little to do, considering the mortal realm was unable to help him promote his strength any further. As such, he had picked up learning to wield a spear, finding it the most natural weapon to use after sampling a few different types.

He was rather bored at this point, and he knew his sister wanted to explore outside also. Therefore, he had given her the offer. He was the strongest on the continent so their father had no reason to keep them as restricted as before, and so the two were soon going to move into the palace, but Feng Xiyang knew chances to leave the palace would be just as scarce as before when they moved back, and so wanted at least one last trip.

"Un, brother, Xue 'er wants to see the snow."

"Let's go tell father then."

The two rushed off to find their father, but only found their grandfather. Deciding that telling him was enough, they did so and then head off to the Blue Wind Empire, with Feng Xiyang carrying Feng Xue in his arms.

Feng Xue had already made it into the Earth Profound Realm, having gained the Phoenix God Body had also granted her Heavenly God's Spiritual Veins also, boosting her cultivation speed massively.

As they flew towards the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace, they stopped off a few times to see or taste many new things. Along the way they unwittingly attracted large crowds, with many recognising who they were, causing chaos wherever they stopped off.

When they reached the Blue Wind Empire however, Feng Xiyang finally realised he didn't actually know where to go, as he had only met the icy duo within Floating Cloud City. Deciding that the city would be as good a place as any to find them, he led Feng Xue towards the city.

Speeding towards it, he soon arrived, shocking everyone in the city. Quickly descending, he went to towards the Xia Manor, remembering that was where he ate with Xia Qingyue. By the time he had arrived, he was greeted by a middle aged man.

"Greetings Senior, may I ask why you come to my humble home?"

"I am looking for Xia Qingyue and her master. The last time I was here we ate some dragon in this house. My sister wishes to visit the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace, so we were hoping either of them could direct us."

The man rubbed his hands nervously, before he answered carefully, "I apologise, but my daughter has already left with her master. However, The sect is known for being in the depths of the Snow Region of Extreme Ice. The region is in the extreme west of the empire."

Feng Xiyang nodded and thanked the man, before grabbing Feng Xue and leaving. However, before he did, his almost divine sense noticed something a little ways from the city. Intrigued, he flew towards it and found an empty mountain with some cracks and scorch marks. The destruction looked rather old, and he could sense a large amount of accumulated profound energy from beneath it. Eyes glinting, he waved his hands, destroying the area and revealing a large underground cavern filled with Purple Veined Divine Crystal. The sight of it surprised the Phoenix twins immensely, especially since it was in such a large quantity and hidden beside such a small town.

Using his power, Feng Xiyang tore it all out and placed it within his pocket dimension, pleased with his haul. Excited, they made their way to the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace.
